Thank you for your videos and for making them available with the translator into Italian, I live in Italy and here machine embroidery is very little used, there are no videos or centers where you can learn to use these powerful machines and study the PE software for digitization , thank you so much for these explanations, the update will arrive at the beginning of October and I will watch your videos again to understand all the infinite possibilities
I just found your channel. Love it I just got the stallaire 2. Oh and doing couching there is a dial on the side to move the needle over to the left to catch the yarn
Yes I figured that out. They added more videos with the upgrade and that information is in it. Thanks for the info though and the encouragement. Keep watching.
There is an adjustment to help you do the couching stitch without holding. There is a screw on the right side of the needle that is supposed to be turned to move the needle to the far left. If your needle setting is too wide it will not catch the yarn. The screw is hard to turn but if you watch the video in the machine it will tell you how and the direction to turn to move your needle to the far left.
I found it inside the Stellaire xe1 video library how to. The hard part is getting the screw to move. Mine is stuck like glue. I suspect that. brother updated the video library on all the new additions in the 2.1 software upgrade 😊
Really appreciate your videos on the stellaire. I’m in the uk and received my upgrade last week. Looking forward to the edge to edge quilting xx. Congratulations on having an article in a magazine, will see if I can get the magazine in the uk xxx
Brother should have better instructions for this included in the upgrade box, they should have had a manual, which also had info on this couching, plus all the added patterns and the new "what you can do's". I did check out a tutorial for couching on a luminaire, since its basically the same. I'm wondering if yarns are the only thing you can use. Not too impressed with this couching yet. But thank you once again for your tutorial and imput.
I agree. We should not have to do so much research. I have not been much impressed with the couching even when the luminaire had it but I had to try it.
Did you use the foot that came with the couching package or how did you manage to get chenille through that hole? Maybe that is why you had to babysit it? Thanks for showing us.
Yes I used the correct foot and I used the thread cradle method I talked about. It fit perfectly it just wouldn’t catch the yarn until I held it in front. I am going to try a thinner yarn and see what happens.
Hi Rosemary, congratulations on the article in the magazine. I will have to see if I can find it. On the couching, did you know that there is a video on the Stellaire that shows how to place your foot in the right place. I was told to look for #4 yarn, when I go to buy some. That chenille yarn is the hardest to work with. I'm not sure what I would use the couching for, but it did come out pretty and I see that you were using the magnetic hoop, which I got the other day! As always, thank you for doing these videos.
I have watched a few videos and I do believe the foot is on correctly. I am not sure what #4 yarn is but 4 ply yarn does not work well. I have used the chenille yarn before on the luminaire and on my own designs and it works. I also believe it worked pretty good this time as well I just had to pull the yarn forward. I will try it with a fuzzier yarn and see what happens.
@@enchantingrosemary8776They said the yarn was from Joann's & Hobby Lobby/ I'm not sure either, but you have done more couching than me. Have a good evening.
The yarn is thick but I have discovered that there is a screw on the side of the foot that moves it to align better with the needle. There is actually a video on the machine that explains it.
So you pulled it to the back rather than the front? I will try a thinner yarn but I did use chenille before on the luminaire and the Stellaire with my own stitch and it worked fine.

I am very glad they translate my videos for you and that you are enjoying them.

Well that is definantly something I did not know. I will check it out.
I watched the video. Thank you. I will pass the information on if that is alright with you.

Yes that is where I found it. I did not know the upgrade added new videos. The screw is hard at first but when you get it moving it becomes easier.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me!
You are welcome 🤗

Thanks for your videos I too am in the uk and not any vids from here to inspire ❤️❤️

You can use one of those dental floss threaders for your yarn.
Yes!!! I forgot about those. They would work perfect. Thank you 🤩

I’m just wondering if the yarn was a little thick

I am sure I have seen that you have to make sure the needle is over to the left of the darning hole, not sure if you already done that
No I have not seen that anywhere. The built in couching designs should default to where the needle is supposed to be.
I think that the yarn is a bit thick also I had to keep the yarn loose in the back so that the foot could grab the yarn.
So you pulled it to the back rather than the front? I will try a thinner yarn but I did use chenille before on the luminaire and the Stellaire with my own stitch and it worked fine.
