I completely agree on the visual not being necessary on this song. I have struggled with insomnia over the years to the point of losing a job that I really loved . It affects mental and physical health I can definitely relate to this song.

Great one guy’s love this tune. I sleep with the Tv on as well I put on sleep mode and fall asleep calms me down. I have the volume on 1 and a documentary on that really works for me.

DEfinitely a favourite although I don't suffer from insomnia, such a strong song/spoken word whatever. The survivor part and the fast rap afterwards, goosebumps definitely. The guitar at the end is tasty as well.

This is powerful one--especially in relation to his song Make My Way. My understanding is that severe insomnia side effect of the antidepressants he was on.
His cadence really makes this one hit hard as well. The silences and the way he breaks up words are a lot ("un (space) relinquishing pain" and "nothing (space) and everything and (space) nothing").
Such an underrated track! Pure fire! I loved the survivor destiny's child bar...

I have slept 4 or less hours per night for the majority of my life. There are a few nights a month that I don’t sleep at all because I’m doing stuff. I get a ton of stuff done. I can go 3or so days straight before I have to sleep. If I push myself to that point, I have to sleep like 9-10 hours to make up my sleep debt.
