had found a few at my local thrift store, and one even had a really great stock heatsink from dell instead of the typical garbo stock heatsink typical in such cases
Hey I legit just found one of these machines on the side of the road last week haha. Mine is also a dimension E510 but mine seems to be a later model since it has a pentium D, has a media center edition license, and shows a vista capable xp sticker. It had no ram, power supply, or hard drive but thankfully had the caddy so I could mount another hard drive. I managed to get it running with spare parts I had laying around. How are the caps in yours? There's some bulging on mine but it still seems to run alright for now.
I don't recall purposely looking over the caps but at the same time I don't recall any obvious bad ones. Plus, the computer still boots and runs normally so they're apparently still chugging along.
Not sure if you're still using this PC, but I have one as well. I'm waiting on a Radeon HD 7750. It's single slot, has plenty of power for XP gaming, and is only 55 watts. Plus, it has HDMI.
Mine doesn't get much use, but I did replace the graphics card I originally put in there with a GeForce GT 430 I found at a thrift store for $15. Still in box.
I actually have that same computer except it has the AMD processor. After digging it out I coudn't find the original keyboard and my current keyboard is not recognized. What type of keyboard do I need to find, it only has an usb input for it. Thanks
The original bios is A00. I had an A00 system, but I fried the bios mid-flash. Had to replace the board, and now have an A05 system.

Neat!
The 3DFX VooDoo 2 was the KING video card for XP Gaming!
Great video, brought back so many memories! Keep up the good work!
Thank you!

Really any USB keyboard should work. I use a generic HP keyboard myself for the one I restored in the video.
Great video
Thank you!
