I just can't poke people with a needle. Lol) However I have put off attempting to sell my artwork due to me thinking nobody will ever want it. I think this is the first video i’ve seen on YT that actually covers the shipping related questions vs just how to package an item after you receive an order. This was very helpful and I appreciate you taking the time to create this video! For paintings already listed on the website, how do you pre-estimate how much they will weigh/dimensions since they don’t get packaged until after a customer places the order for it? Do you overestimate just incase? Thanks again 🙏🏻❤️
Hi, I’m glad this could help you ❤️😊 we usually just include the price of shipping with the painting - we always tend to overestimate because it’s not just the shipping that takes time and money but also the time it takes to package and take it for shipment.
I sell on eBay and Etsy, both of which collect and remit state sales tax to the customer's state tax sites. I believe it is a federal law that if you sell in states other than the one you live in you have to collect and remit that state's sales tax to that state. I do think some states have a level of sales that have to be met before you have to remit sales tax to them though. You should check this out by going to various state's sales tax links and reading up on it.
