Thank you for taking me to the Cotswold area, I will never get there I’m afraid, so beautiful to see. Love all your videos. You are a delightful couple! 🥰
Brought back memories of when I was there. I'm almost 80 now, so won't be going again, thanks for the trip. Enjoyed so much. Just found you and I'm bingeing, love from Georgia, USA.
I live in south cerney! Love that you stayed here, I always think it’s a bit of an underrated little village in the cotswolds that not that many people know about! Hope you enjoyed!
Madeline and Alex thank you for sharing your weekend with us. I agree your service was not good and I am sorry you didn’t get your vegan roast. I thoroughly enjoyed your walk around the town since shops, the church bells were just heavenly. Thank you so much for sharing this day. The old Cotswold villages are so beautiful. Roxy has been such a good girl on your trip. The church in Bath is stunning. Love your choice of music. Hope your birthday trip was everything you hoped it would be. Great memories have been made on your weekend. 🎂🎁🥂🎊🐶🌺💐🥰
Thank you for this ‘trip’ while I wait to feel comfortable about travel again!! Such a beautiful area and I hope to get there one day. Roxy is such a sweetheart ☺🇨🇦
Thank you for sharing your travels, Madeleine and Alex and Roxie…it is absolutely beautiful there! I visited England in 1979 and it’s so nice to see it as beautiful as I saw it 42 years ago….lovely, sublime….hello from Calif USA….🎈
What a lovely journey! :) I'm so envious of the antiquity of the villages and buildings. Nothing is anywhere near that old here in Canada. Thank you for sharing it with us!
Have you ever been to Vieux Quebec Dorothy...it's stunning! Lived in Quebec city for 5 years...it stole my heart. But I agree with you...there is nothing like the UK for gorgeous villages. I can only dream of going there one day. Cheers from BC. 😃
I grew up very near to Burford and didn’t appreciate how lucky I was until I was much older. It’s pronounced ‘Bye-bury’ and ‘South Sur-nee’ 😄. I live overseas now and make regular trips back. I’m always scanning rightmove for a dream cotswolds cottage that I will own one day ☺️ p.s next time you visit the cotswolds maybe try the south Cotswolds around the Stroud Valleys. So many beautiful towns and villages like Painswick, Minchinhampton, Sheepscombe, Tetbury etc.
Couldn’t wait to see part two! We visited Bath many years ago to show American hubby. Saw the stunning Roman Baths and Stonehenge on the way off in the distance. A lovely vlog. Thank you
I totally understand your excitement for the home decor and garden shops, I am with you all the way. If I didn't mention it before Happy Birthday(belated), happy you had a good weekend...thanks for sharing it with us. Bless you sweetie.
All the buildings are so amazing! I'm with you on getting excited and inspired by beautiful decor and homes. We're hopefully moving to an older home in the late spring and I'm really looking forward to being in a home with some character again. The house we're in now was renovated and striped on its original charm. Fingers crossed the move happens!
Hi Madeleine ! I enjoy very much watching your videos, you're funny and seem a very nice person. I'm french but I live in Belgium with my husband. I used to live in Hastings and London and 3 years in New York. Watching your videos help practice my english because I don't speak english anymore unfortunately!! Keep making videos. Sorry for the mistakes!! Brigitte
LOVE the Green Rocket too, super yummy and fresh and all the vegan options, with lovely staff! I felt so gutted for you about the vegan roast, I would have been so disappointed 😖 Hope it didn’t spoil your birthday xxx
Aww that will certainly be a birthday to remember. And thanks for sharing.... Places of architecture are the same for me I am in ore of the surroundings....and looks like you have had a wonderful time.....🙂👍
Love watching your videos on RUclips ,you have got a beautiful cottage the Cotswold looks really fab , and you stopped in Bath where i was Born and grew up , now living with my family in the south of Italy , o and my husband worked a couple of years in the Royal cresent hotel before we moved back to Italy 😊
Daylesford is very pretty but sooooo overpriced, Alex is absolutely right when he says it’s pretentious. Range Rovers, designer wellies (which have never seen mud) but it’s good for inspiration. You can achieve everything they have for a better price elsewhere. We moved from South Devon to Warwick because of our visits to the Cotswolds, all the villages are about 40 minutes from us and Warwick is lovely.
I loved watching you all in the Cotswolds, one of my favorite shows on Amazon prime is Agatha Raisin and apparently that's where she's supposed to live, don't know how true it is to the setting but I really enjoyed your trip
Live not too far from the Cotswolds and just in the process of buying a grade II listed house so lots of great ideas from your channel thank you.. Love the church bells always :-)
How beautiful, thank you for sharing. As I watched I thought how fabulous it would be to live there, but I'm sure property prices would make my eyes water. Loved the vlog ❤. Ps I will definitely visit 😊.
Two wonderful videos from the Cotswolds, I'm so pleased you had a good time for your birthday. ❤🎂 It's a beautiful area and we almost moved there a few years ago, but we ended up in Oxfordshire instead in a gorgeous little village. I need a short break there now to visit Daylsford it looks amazing.
OMG, what a trip! Those bells are simply amazing:) Can we go on a field trip every week with you guys? You are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing it:>)
Love the Cotswolds, lived there for 15 years, best 15yrs! Me and my partner had our first date at burford wildlife park (that's what it used to be called lol). Loving watching you guys explore xxx
Loved this vlog the cotswolds look gorgeous, I'm just like you with loving interiors and shops selling nice home stuff, it gives me the buzz too. We are definitely going to book a break their soon. ❤️
It’s so true about the food thing..I find so often when I book ahead and plan it doesn’t work out but if I just walk and ask around I find something good! When I was on holiday in Europe and staying in Turin I spent so long trekking around the city for food and almost every vegan place I found was closed but it wasn’t advertised on their website or social media just a hand written note on the door and then on my final day I found the cafe next door randomly had vegan pastries! 🤦♀️
Burford is trying to get the HGV ban reinstated after the trial period ended. The town was bypassed by the A40 200 years ago but there are two A roads going down the high street which fork at Fulbrook at the bottom the other side of the bridge over the Windrush.
Some pubs/restaurants advertise they have vegan options, just to tick a box. Then you arrive and it's like you guys said, they don't actually have anything. Does my head right in.
I could see you with some beautiful corrugated metal garden beds. In the US, we have Vego which is a brand that makes beautiful powder coated ones. I think they might ship to the UK but I’m not sure.
Would you consider putting together a brief written list of your best experiences in the Cotswolds? Very excited for our trip to the UK and I'd love to research your great recs!
I’m unlikely to have the time at the mo just because work is busy! But we mentioned pretty much everything we did or recommended in this video and the last and also the food recs are a bit easier to follow on my recent what I ate today IG reels in the Cotswolds xx
Part 2 didn't disappoint apart from your food that was very bad. I have never been to Bath but I want to stand on the grass in the Royal crescent and spin round to see it all. Thank you for taking my memories back to the cotswolds
Lovely. Although bit pants with restaurant, they could of been more professional. Roxy had brilliant time. I completely get the whole wanna get home to the cats thing xxx
I recently went to a pub in Bristol who had a vegan roast on their menu. It had a Yorkshire pudding in the description, but when it came it looks suspiciously similar to the ones my non-vegan family had. I asked the waitress who said yes it was vegan but then she went to ask the chef and came back to say that actually it wasn’t😑
Roxy runs a bit like a toddler. All arms and legs pumping furiously and then not a lot of speed. At least for the amount of effort put in. It’s really quite cute. I’ve heard no expectations, no disappointment, but I don’t know if I go for that. Maybe limit expectations and limit disappointment.
Haha that’s very true her legs are so short that it takes a lot of effort to build her speed up 🤣 and that is a good mantra to remember! Expectations is what often let’s us down which is probably why planning stuff like this often doesn’t work because I get my hopes up!
@@MadeleineOlivia not having any expectations or letting your hopes get up seems so negative and wooden, I just can’t fully buy into it. Being disappointed sometimes means that at least there was excitement. I guess when people say it they mean no expectations means you can get excited in the moment when it’s good? It’s a concept I just haven’t been able to fully grasp if that makes sense, it starts going philosophical when considering if the happy expectations get ruined by the result or not. Ends, means, journey sort of thing.
@@sian9475it's frustrating. So many vegetarians assume chips are safe (and they should be). I thought they were for years. Makes it hard, I used to be able to go there with hubby and at least be able to eat the chips (so I thought). I think the only thing vegetarian is the coleslaw.
It's challenging enough finding vegetarian options in restaurants and pubs let alone vegan ones. Get so bored of risotto and pasta bake. I want something I don't cook at home or a pizza ☺️
I'm married to the biggest carnivore on the planet 😀 We now live next door to each other, it works perfectly for us. We love each ither to bits and share all the good things but don't have to share our cooking, food storage ... or violent TV programmes. 🙂
I feel like someone with a large viewing you should be aware that the KFC chips aren't vegan so please maybe make people aware in the future in case they think you're fully vegan and they're ok to eat when they're not x

The Cotswolds is a dream place I love it , you both have beautiful accents , Alex you look and speak like Colin firth one of my favourite actors.
Greetings from Nova Scotia!🇨🇦. Thanks for taking me on this trip - beautiful part of the world!
Loved being an armchair traveler the last 2 videos, the history there is always fascinating to me. Thanks for taking us along =^)
Stunning views! I've got so much more exploring to do myself. You capturing all these moments make me add these places to my wish list.

Totally agree about design aesthetics, art and architecture. It's what I Iive for (along with nature). Been to Bath twice - loved it!

Madeleine, I am the same as you, I feel passionate about architecture and interior design and my husband is just like Alex

Thanks for taking us along…what a beautiful area! Loved that you stopped in Bath & passed by the Sally Lunn’s establishment(that’s my maiden name 👍🏻)
I love that the counting of range rovers is the posh scale 😄
Haha it’s pretty accurate 😅
You must come back to Bath and make more of a trip of it, lots more to see around the area xx
I love Bath, definitely a beautiful city to visit ❤️ I'd love to spend a day in the spa there cos it looks amazing from what I've seen 😁

I would get into such trouble in that village.
So stunning 😍.
Im curious, who had to run back for the camera after the 3:34 edit?!! 😄
The ending with Roxy hahahahaha

daylesford donate soo much abs have so many charities so the profit i think is good 👍
Anyone ever told you guys before that Alex looks like Jarvis Cocker? 🎸🎤🎵🎶
Did sound like activious. Maybe you said it really quickly.

There absolutely is! They may not offer the vegan option in smaller cities but it available all over the country.
