    • @richardperrettwatchmaker
      @richardperrettwatchmaker  2 месяца назад +1

      Hi jatco84 ... To clarify the Omega 59-8D is an oversized watch mechanism and has a lot more in common with a large watch than a clock in everything other than size. Biffy's Omega 59-8D came in the form of a desk clock as did the donor but if I was going to train a watchmaker on watch movements I would start with something like this movement as it has all the components of a watch but slightly oversized. The Donor is listed on eBay a Pocket Watch for this reason. Hope this clarifies. Richard

    Good stuff. What about the donor clock? As a fairly valuable piece, would it be possible to get the donor wheel replaced, or will it just languish, unloved and forgotten in a drawer?

    • @richardperrettwatchmaker
      @richardperrettwatchmaker  2 месяца назад +1

      Good to hear from you Sergeant_Fury! So the donor actually donated more than is in the edit of this film so restoring it also is a problem.
