I wonder, is there a timeline that entails ALL of the Dragon Quest games together like with the Zelda games? Work To Game The virtual joystick took a second to get used to but given the style of gameplay it really isn’t that big of a deal. I wouldn’t want it for a fast-paced, real time game, but a classic jrpg it works just fine. I burned through a few hours of DQ1 without even realizing it so I must be having a blast! As for look, I think they ported the GBA version over so it looks pretty decent.
So the mother waking the kid at the true ending is ortega? And what about serenica and erdwin?, is dq11’s hero their descendant? So that would make the hero the original erdrick.
Essentially, Erdwin is the first Luminary, then came the DQ11 protagonist, who is Erdwin's reincarnation, and essentially the first Erdrick, probably thousands of years later. Then, many many years pass until Ortega's son/daughter (DQ3 protagonist) becomes the second Erdrick and theoretically the third Luminary. And from him/her descended the DQ1 and DQ2 protagonists, who were probably not Luminaries but they still are heroes worthy of the Erdrick title.
I really hope dq12 is going to be the story of Ortega ....release not long after dq3 hd2d....i have a feeling there's going to be a connection between the two games
I've been told yes, but I'm not 100% set on my source. I've been told they are in the same world, but I can't speak to what is and isn't apart of it. I plan on picking up the new one here once my world settles down a bit. :)
The king in DQ1 didn’t offer his daughter to the hero. She fell in love with him and asked to come with him. I only played the mobile version so I have no idea if that was a change that they made.
I personally feel that they did an amazing job with this series. Granted there’s a few I hated for minor reasons but over all it’s better then final fantasy to me.
I was looking for a video like this, thank you!! BUT, about DQXI (Spoiler Alert!!): I think it's actually set AFTER the other games, since in the last part of the game the main character manages to change his past but also to save the "legendary heroes" who were stuck in time. He saves them and they return to their time and live their happy life, having a child that will than be the hero of DQ3. If you see, his father is also very similar to him. Also, after that, the games shows us the other heroes as if all of those adventures already happened, all of thia thanks to the hero of DQXI.
Why refer to everything else besides Midenhall by their English name, but not Midenhall? That makes no sense! If you're going to follow the English version, please refer to EVERYTHING by their English name! Also, I'm a believer of the name Midenhall as proper canon, since Laurasia doesn't even suit the western based medieval culture of Midenhall. Laurasia was once a real place, preexisting eons before the medieval times. Laurasia is a name better suited for place featured in stories about cavemen. lmao! I don't follow the Japanese versions of franchises that much because a lot of their names for people, places, and things when translated to English are just too silly for Western folk to take seriously, not to mention because their so silly, they shouldn't even be considered canon. To us English speaking fans, the Japanese versions of franchises are jokes that are too hard to take seriously sometimes. Not all of the Japanese version stuff is silly, and I do respect some Japanese version stuff and treat as canon, but only the stuff that actually be taken seriously. Anyways, that all said, Midenhall is the name for the Main Hero's home in Dragon Quest II, not Laurasia. Unless you want to believe that these games take place during Dragon Quests version of the Triassic period, which makes no sense! And if you don't believe me about the Triassic period thing, here's a link for you: www.google.com/search?q=Laurasia&client=firefox-b-1-d&sxsrf=ALeKk02JEPNEFG6OHylKLOVE_X9zl3EX6A:1596175945445&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiZqOjh6vbqAhUZH80KHY_GCHwQ_AUoAXoECBwQAw&biw=941&bih=642

And from him/her descended the DQ1 and DQ2 protagonists, who were probably not Luminaries but they still are heroes worthy of the Erdrick title.
dngiovanni the mom is serenica, just look at her hair and boobs... while erdwin is the father....
its is possible that the son will be called ortega
You play as a young Ortega in Dragon Quest 11.
Could you make a video about the Dragon Quest timeline? There isnt really any videos on it
I need to do a little more research on that so I have it right, but yeah, any reason to talk about more dragon quest :)
Zenithian Trilogy:
DQ6>DQ4>DQ5
@@Work2Game can you do one about sentinals of stary skies
I really hope dq12 is going to be the story of Ortega ....release not long after dq3 hd2d....i have a feeling there's going to be a connection between the two games
So the hero dq3 was vanish because the light orb stolen by dragon king. And who is the real loto/erdrick? Is the hero from dqXI or dq3?
Erdrick is considered the hero of 3... (I could be wrong, it's late when I'm writing this), and he is a decedent from the hero of DQXI
@@Work2Game facts bro. now we need to know where dq8 9 and 10 fit in
I remember dragon warrior 3 was always too expensive and I never had enough allowance to buy it…
Does builders have a link to this
I've been told yes, but I'm not 100% set on my source. I've been told they are in the same world, but I can't speak to what is and isn't apart of it. I plan on picking up the new one here once my world settles down a bit. :)
@@Work2Game I know that dqb2 is hargons dream tho
Builders 1 is a splinter reality/dream dimension where the hero from DQ1 sides with the Dragonlord
I just got a Dragon Quest Builders 2 add and it scared me
Why?
BGM list? Name of songs?
SPOILER!
So is the Hero really Loto/Erdrick?
You missed out on Dragon Quest VIII and Ramia.
Why does this look like Dragonball z art? I love it..
You're in for a treat, the reason it looks like that is because the head artist for Dragon Quest is also the same person who made Dragon Ball :)
Who's Edrick ? I'm pretty sure the guy you're talking about was Erdrick
Do 4-6
The king in DQ1 didn’t offer his daughter to the hero. She fell in love with him and asked to come with him. I only played the mobile version so I have no idea if that was a change that they made.
Same in the NES version.
@@Leonardogueiros what
I personally feel that they did an amazing job with this series. Granted there’s a few I hated for minor reasons but over all it’s better then final fantasy to me.
I’m hearing rumors of a DQ3 remake done up like DQ11 which would be wonderful IMO
Wait, where did the Dracolord’s backstory come from?
They’re all available on mobile devices.
BTW i just subscribed
Welcome to the Workforce! :) thanks for hitting that subscribe button :)
@@Work2Game yay
I think XI is a reboot of the original trilogies world.
If it’s a prequel to the first 3 then why is the hero they see in the past the hero from 3?
I was looking for a video like this, thank you!!
BUT, about DQXI (Spoiler Alert!!):
I think it's actually set AFTER the other games, since in the last part of the game the main character manages to change his past but also to save the "legendary heroes" who were stuck in time. He saves them and they return to their time and live their happy life, having a child that will than be the hero of DQ3. If you see, his father is also very similar to him. Also, after that, the games shows us the other heroes as if all of those adventures already happened, all of thia thanks to the hero of DQXI.
By the way, its Erdrick not edrick
I’m super dialectic and this is only confusing me on how I should say it. So you have an audio file to link into?
@@Work2Game Sorry I dont
Maybe I can try to find out how to make one!
@@Work2Game Also Its ok, I'm sorry! I got Dragon Quest XI today, and you helped me a lot!
Congrats on getting DQ11 :) and no worries if you find a way, I’d love the help to say it right :)
DQ 8 takes place before DQ11
Pause... Ok fine I'll accept your pronouncing of Erdrick as Ed Rick as the video sounds exciting. But geeze man!
If you have a sound clip to how it's supposed to sound that would be most helpful.
Work To Game names beginning in “E” follow Germanic root pronunciation. E=Ai. Erdrick is Airdrick
Thanks for the spoiler alert haha,i stoped watching as soon as I saw that but I liked the video
Why does the dragon quest characters look so much like Dragon Ball Z? Is there any conections?
Revervッ it’s because the person who did the art for dragon ball did the art for dragon quest
The character designer is Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball/Z/GT/Super
is this why the sound and music in this game sounds like ripped from a gameboy?
erdrick, sounds like youre saying edrick
The backtrack music is too loud, man.
How did the dragon lord get the army of monsters?
One day, he's afraid of a dragon. Tomorrow, he runs a death army of monsters???
with a powerful dragon as your pet, why should you be scared of mere monsters?
@@jahqubfoladi2600 a coward is still a coward though...right?
Not really.. a coward given unlimited power will become a bully. In this case, a monster
why dubstep?
Btw its air-drick. I’ve pronounced it worse than you for years no worries. I wish they would have just stuck with Loto.
No more?
I'm game for making more, didn't ever see any real demand, and they take a lot of work.
@@Work2Game Makes sense
Jesus, you butchered just about every name in this video. Enjoyed the recap, though. Thanks!
and then Goku saved the day.
Why do you sound like chills. Its as if ur reviewing scary stories
And if you don't believe me about the Triassic period thing, here's a link for you:

Yikes...how you gonna call him edrick 😂😂😂😂. Theres a R buddy...
The fact that you still name the game dragon warrior instead of dragon quest, is a big shame mate
Why is that a big shame?
@@Work2Game cause it is Dragon Quest and not Dragon Warrior.. Maybe? The fact that it stopped being released as Dragon warrior after the first three games is a fact enough that region localisation just to be different is dumb
Maybe. But beyond the four that where originally released that left an impression on me, it didn’t become dragon quest until much later in the US
I understand that. It's just a US distribution problem basically and I have a big problem with the misnomering of franchises. Good video though, you gained my subscription! ✌️🗿
I have 0 idea who Erdrick is so I look it up and I still have 0 idea who he is
Final fantasy makes no sense. If they wanted to make a different game they should have. I hope the dq games never start going down the road ff did. Square soft sucks I wish the never joined Enix.
Okay, barely a minute in and I'm already miffed that you can't even pronounce Erdrick or Alefgard. I'm done.
Lol. Ok, by then.
My alltime favorite game series was this line of DW 1-3. I loved 4 also but it wasn't the Erdrick line.
