You left out the funniest part where Mike tells Uncle Albert that there was one spare bed at the Seamans Mission and Uncle Albert shushes Mike after Del and Rodney leave! XD
And cry, in my case. Albert didn't exactly 'replace' their grandfather (in my opinion, nobody can replace anybody), but he was family and neither Rodney nor Del wanted him to be alone. And ultimately that was their saving grace; Albert's will left them £290,000 and saved them from being homeless themselves.
Buster wrote to the bbc asking to be in only fools after grandad passed away, and they liked the look of him in his pic and took him on. possibly the only actor who applied for a job that didn't yet exist and got it! :)
Only fools as funny as it is really warms your heart. No one could replace grandad (as a character for the show, and as a person for the boys). But the boys adopting Uncle Albert think was what the character Del Boy needed. He couldn’t grieve over his grandfather and was in pain after. All he felt other than the pain, was the responsibility to look after Rodney and then just a big empty void. Uncle Albert gave him someone else to help fill the void. I know Buster was only in it due to the unfortunate passing of Leonard Pearce. But how they added him in was perfect. As to me it actually built on both Del Boy and Rodney’s characteristics. Grandad is my favourite character in only fools. But absolutely love uncle Albert. Buster was up against it as would have been easy for fans to turn on him. But he made the character lovable and showed his great acting ability. R.I.P to 2 great legends Leonard Pearce and Buster Merryfield thank you both for the laughs.
Uncle Albert and Grandad fell out many years ago over a girl and never spoke again, the storyline reason Albert doesn't show up until after Grandad dies
Del Boy always put family 1st. You can't put a price on that loyalty. As Del Boy said, to Harry, the coach driver, when the coach blew up, in The Jolly Boys Outing. "He's 1 of the best, 1 of THE very best".
It was a sad episode, when Del Boy, and Rodney buried their Grandad. There was an element of comedy, when Del Boy stole the vicar's hat, and when he said to Great Uncle Albert, "Come on, Sinbad", let's go down there, before the Health Inspector".
You can see why they adopted Uncle Albert as one of their own. He's such an endearing character
Del always looked after his own, good times. 😀
Ya do in my family, me ol' china!
yep
Good days
Still the best British comedy of all time.

Yep. It was going to actually be revealed in Rock n Chips and it was rumored it was to possibly be Elsie Partridge that they fell out over.
Dels good at heart.

"Come on, Sinbad. Let's go down there, before the Health Inspector".
There's a mistake in this episode. At the party, you can see the shadow of a camera as it reels back into the Kitchen.

You lot gotta feel sorry for me, Rodders n I were coping with this "During the war..." twen'yfour seven
Great Uncle Albert: "Every ship I have been on has been torpedoed, dive- bombed, and sunk. Boomerang Trotter always comes back".
Oh yes del-boy woe is you.....I mean a few words is just to harsh to listen to..it not like machine gun fire and explosions will not do any harm huh?
Blow up more times then a beach ball
Back in the days when bar maids where not to be messed with lol
The description is wrong, it’s Series 4 Episode 2.
Claims to be "BritBox" yet calls it a season and not series.
There is actually another brother, George Trotter, I believe? But you never see him.
🤣🤣🤣
And what Mike then says to him...
