I would like to have a friend like "Trigger". He might be a bit behind, with the conversation, but his heart is in the right place. He was a good friend to Del Boy, and Rodney, and the North London branch of the Trotter family, who were Del Boy's cousin Stan, Stan's wife, Jean, and Great Uncle Albert, in Strained Relations, when it was Grandad Trotter's funeral. He opened the Trotter family's flat, whilst Del Boy was paying the vicar.

Very realistic, as when people say something so random like that it usually takes people a few seconds to process what they said. John's idea of Del Boy was someone in jeans with a pot belly. David said that he had seen the character as a partner in an electrical firm. David and friend were electricians and looking for work . He was immaculately dressed with a camel coloured overcoat and was always straightening the shoulders and sleeves of his jacket, Also it made David laugh when this dapper man had a Sarf London accent and was a real wide boy, which did not go with his image.
