I've seen the "Vot is your name" part about a million times and still cry laughing.. Timeless
Me too. Its timeless
And his facial expression
They dont make em like this anymore. I can watch this over and over again and never get bored. The best comedy ever made.
I never get fed up watching the wife is threatening divorce lol
Someone somewhere could find it offensive... Snowflakes galore nowadays...
@@walterpfannschmidt8449 im talking about the series as a whole not just this episode
Love Fools and horses. But one politically incorrect serie tops them all: In sickness and in health, with Alf Garnet...
@@walterpfannschmidt8449 im a fan of that too !!
I can literally watch Only fools and horses all day long. Never get old.
Google Barbara Lerner Spectre No I’m not an anti- indigenous English nor do I despise or discriminate white people and I cant comprehend why you have a toxic self- hatred of white democrats. There is real pain attached to the concept of race: anger, confusion, bewilderment. Discrimination exists and division is at the root of all discrimination.
Google Barbara Lerner Spectre take that shit somewhere else where here to watch Only fools not this shit
Ha that would be torture watch British shitcoms all day every day.
@@ryanskeffers5286 no it wouldn’t mate
That's why it's on Gold
35 years later and it's still cracking us up. God bless them all.
The most popular foreign comedy in Serbia ever. It has a cult status here.
That's great to hear! Same in the UK of course, Del Boy is a pop culture icon even now in 2020.
@@jensablefur155 we just have a rerun on one of the local Serbian tv station. 🤣🤣🤣
Good taste my friend!
Croatia too :)

Vot is your nem 🤣
My girl used to say VOT for what always laughed together over it 😍
@anonymous one most people not know this , your taking it to seriously and out of humour like a German who does not have the sense of humour the Brits have that is fact .
...es tut mir Leid!
"VOT IS YOUR NAME??" 😆 UNCLE ALBERT KILLED IT IN THIS ONE😂
I always loved the way Uncle Albert did the chicken neck movement before he said a funny line 😂 🤣
I love his straight face when he says a punchline
Bad comic timing!
Haha yeah and sometimes the stutter trigger would do
Best 1 was “Well that’s a hell of a parting you’ve got there!!” That was said to Jumbo Mills. 😂😂😂😂😂
Chicken neck movement and shoulders is typical cockerney.
Hard to believe Buster Murryfield only took up acting in his retirement years
He was a bank manager before he retired.
One of britains greats
Bules 67 That's buster Merryfeild
No it isn't.
He would have been 100 this year
When I visited the US I met a German woman, I told her I can speak German and she looked impressed. Then I said "Vot is your name" and she burst out laughing saying it was so funny. Got to love the British humour :D
Would have been great if she came back with “ don’t tell him Pike “ 😜🇬🇧
I'm impressed that the German woman had a sense of humour
@@kevincooper1982 Of course they've got a sense of humour. They invented the accordion.
Did that woman know what you were referring to?
You got lucky there, you could’ve really embarrassed yourself
I swear David Jason is trying not to laugh 😂
Spot on Chris, mind you I'm not surprised
I reckon they did it on purpose as a wind up in David Jason. He did so well not to laugh
£1.47 for the drinks... man I miss the good old days!
Probably £13.76 in today's money
Matt cooper....that's about the price of a single cigarette these days. When I left school in 86 ,you could go out for 7pints,20fags and fish n chips on the way home for a tenner.Round my way, that'd be 55 quid now.
@mastermind £140 per week. Which was a lot for a first job back then.
Mind you, technology was really expensive and so were clothes.
But you could buy a flat in Peckham for less than 5000.
So it still works out to being much cheaper to live back then.

" You saucy mare." Brilliant.
English?you saucy mare😂😂😂
This is only 0.01% of the pure gold Only Fools and Horses was! Pure genius!
the best programme ever.by far .
Too bad they ruined its perfect ending
Roborav all sitcoms have that. It’s what happens when they get pressured to make more and get greedy too.
Mauricio Merida apparently it was because many of the fans of OFAH didn’t like the way it ended with them becoming millionaires. I don’t know how true that is... but just shows you how much bad luck Trotter’s Independent Trading Co. had
Little Warorc3456
That might be false cos David Jason said in an interview that the idea of them losing the money was made around the same time that Time On Our Hands was written
I am German, but this Video is just great, luv UK♥️
Right then, vot is hyur nem?
@Donald Mackay lol best episode ever
Also mich hätte es zerissen, wenn die Dame plötzlich auf "Schwiizerdüutsch" losgelegt hätte. "I' süech aas Zimmerli, wiil i' nirgds ha, wo i' cho hüut z'Nacht bliibe". Und dann: "Hett's nödd öppe, wo cha a chli Änglisch?" Oder so ähnlich.

All the best to our German friends during these strange times. Stay healthy.
even del was laughing when he asked albert 'wot is your name?' haha
This program was brilliant, I can remember watching it with my dad when Dell fell through the bar, I had never seen my Dad laugh like he did until that point! Absolute genius it's such a shame we live in a world now where people would get upset with this too!
"He's windin' me up, Innie?!"
No wonder the german lady could not understand thier english !
You can see him trying not to laugh when he says it too
Haha soo funny
"Vot is your name?" Hahahaha. Only Fools and Horses. The greatest British sitcom of all time.
After Steptoe and son. Rising Damp. Fawlty towers. Till Death us Do Part. George and Mildred. Man About the house. On The Buses. Bless This house. The Rise and fall of Reginald Perin et al. And about a thousand other comedy shows that were far FAR FAR BETTER!!
@@wanderer1955 that is your stupid ass opinion
@@MarkanVaran7 Yeah and it's a BRILLIANT one, too.😁🖕
Only rising damp is close
wanderer1955 you’re just a hater. If there were a thousand sitcoms that were so much better why are you watching this video and why is OFAH still one of the most popular british sitcoms ever? It’s got a huge following abroad too. It was literally deemed the greatest british sitcom ever by a panel. Only Black Adder and fawlty towers came close on the list. Anyway: why are you hating, mate? OFAH is still loved and venerated today. It’s got a major following in britain and abroad as well. None of the others that you mentioned really have that. It’s still considered to be one of the greatest sitcoms by virtually all the lists that rank the greatest sitcoms. Stop being a cunt
I am curled up again with laughing. What a series that was.
"He thought he was gonna pull a Swede and she's got lumbered with a cabbage"
Uncle Albert is my favourite, RIP
When Uncle Albert said "Vot is yer nem" I died laughing! 😂😂
'vot is your name...... Vot is your...... He's winding me up ain't he'!!??? 😁😁😁
Back when the BBC earned the license fee.

Paying to be Brainwashed*
Bullshit. They are who they are because of the license fee. You know jack-shit.
Second favourite uncle albert scene, favourite is uncle alberts fake disgust scene.
Sir David Jason nearly lost it at 2:22-2:24 after Uncle Albert said ''Vot Is Your Nem?''
Yeh I reckoned he adlibbed after
Can u imagine looking at uncle Albert's straight face , its enough to crack u up
What a plonker .
No, I think it was in the script that Del would laugh at Albert's incompetence.
Uncle Albert class 🤠👍
Only Fools and Horses & Auf Wiedersehen Pet are probably the best 2 series ever made for British TV ( God I miss the good old days )
None better
Minder?
Only the first series of Auf Wiedersehen Pet is great! The second one was fine until they went to Spain! Jumbo Mills is in the second series! Oz sh*** his wife!
@@willhay6148 Yeah the Germany one was the best. Went a bit shit after that
Second series was great, but Gary Holtons death meant they couldn't finish it the way they wanted to
Auf Pet series 1 and 2 still some of the best TV ever created and only Breaking Bad comes close as my favourite of all time
I know every dialogue in every episode .this show is best ever made! Greetings from Serbia! :D
I love Only Fools one of the best comedies of all time. I wish I could go back to the 80s. A great time. The world gone crazy now.
Rodney's face when she's speaks French to del 🤣
I did french at school. I think I got a D because of my grammar/ spelling. I learned tons of nouns and verbs so I can understand it fairly well. Talking it is a different matter 😂
If anyone was wondering she was asking if there was a hotel or somewhere with a bedroom she could stay.
My german wife always laugh her head off at this. I mean if David Jason could barely hold it together whilst replying to him on set in this scene, what chance have any of us got of not laughing at it.
been to Buster's grave many times in the past, such a legendary actor
He was as good as grandad
2.23 hahaha David smiling 🤣
I truly thought uncle Albert was gonna speak German but it came out like a Dracula’s voice 😂🤣👏👏
Thats got to be the best german translation and accent ive heard in my life from uncle albert.😀
I know every episode, almost every line. Best show ever
Vot is your name, Classic 👍
"Potaj Bon Fem" - absolutely brilliant comedy gold
The reactions on their faces especially del and Rodney are priceless pure comedy gold you couldn't act it twice
"VOT IS YOUR NAME?"
XDDD
I love the Germanic look Uncle Albert puts on his face when asking VOT IS YOUR NAME
Uncle Albert - the authentic polyglot 😂👏👏
The best bit in this episode is where Del says to Anna "Vorsprung durch technik!"
2:14 I lost it here 🤣🤣
“Vot is your name”
Creases me up every time.
It's just as funny the 50th time you see it as it was the 1st time, that's the great thing about this show, how many other shows can you say that about.
@2:13
Harry Kane practicing German.
2:16 - 2:18! Their faces are priceless and Del's response. C'est Magnifique!
Once I noticed the neon green mohawk in the background, I couldn't look away lol!
LolI had to replay it. How did I not notice it? I’d be a terrible witness 🤜🏻
“That foreign tart” 🤣
The best British working-class comedy drama to me so far. Very nostalgic.
Only Fools and Horses is a comedy not a comedy drama, something like Benidorm could arguably be called a comedy drama because it blends comedy with drama style storylines.
One of the best clips of all time.
'Nah she don't speak French either Mike' 😂
I think Uncle Albert has been listening to Michael Caine in 'The Eagle has Landed'.
I think david Jason laughed when he looked at uncle Albert's face and then ad libbed.
Absolute class.
Old but definitely GOLD 🤣🤣🤣 love it!
One of the best BBC comedies of all time! I have the entire box set and watch them regularly....
I avoided buying every DVD because of the awful edits the BBC made to episodes.
I taped my collection from the TV screenings
But when Del say to Albert 'What do you want' 😁 Best ever! Man, so natural, so hilarious, this can't ever be repeated again.
Rodney thinks he's getting his leg over and then she stands up!!😂
His face when she spoke back to delboy in german 😂 and uncle Albert speaking english in german accent 😂
She spoke back to him in french, but he can't actually speak french, he just knows a couple words and even those he uses wrong.
@@AkumaGekido exactly Delboy just showing off thinking he can speak french to impress others is plain to see but uncle albert speaking in english with german accent does it i think a true Classic 😃
You deffo dont speak french

“That foreign tart” 😂
Ah this brings me back, was a fan since the late 1990s (when I first saw it), sort of wish I could go back to those years, great memories.
These videos are helping me through the lockdown.
hilarious..comedy gold. we love it in British Hong Kong.
Vot is your name!
Just been watching this episode again today. So good.
Early in this, Rodders stands with his mouth agape as if he has spotted a Picasso or a Matisse hanging on the pub wall. His antennae must have picked up some kind of Continental cool, Continental class, emanating from the nice-looking young lady in distress: an exoticism quite unrealised by our Rodney, and completely unexpected in their local pub.
1:17 -1:30! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Del's French is always so spot on!
Brilliant never get bored of watching only fools and horses
First proper laugh I've had this week...
This show is gold 😂
Can’t get tired ever of this clip😁
Vok is your name Lol uncle albert so so funny
I'm crying 😂 I'm 32 and I've been watching this since I was 6
Nobody:
No one at all:
Not even Del Boy:
Albert: VOT IS YOUR NEM?????
Classic! Never get bored of it
Priceless comedy!
Best comedy ever
Eons ago when Auntie had the talent to produce great Comedy, and I didn't resent the license fee. Now they only have partisan output, repeats and threats of legal action to over 75's. These golden days will never return.
Rip John Sullivan
The UK is an unbearable shithole now with no light at the end of the tunnel in sight. We all know this.
TV prog these days? Not worth the effort of switching on,,, the BBC is absolute garbage

Hahahahaha hahaha classic moment... still gets me that part 😂😂😂
One of the best when not the best comedy show in the world😀
Another classic. And Erika Hoffman was such a babe.
I'm assuming that Hoffman was the Swedish Woman! The best looking woman to appear in OFAH is the girl who Del thinks is his daughter!
If Lennard Pearce was still alive, could Grandad have matched the same level of hilarity like Albert did in this scene? This episode From Prussia With Love in particular was originally written as the series 4 finale which featured Grandad, but became the series 5 opener instead. Lennard Pearce passed away shortly after filming of series 4 commenced, therefore John Sullivan hastily wrote two extra episodes Happy Returns (as a filler) and Strained Relations in which Grandad dies and Uncle Albert arrives. This left 8 episodes in total for that actual series, however BBC1 was only allowed to broadcast a maximum of 6 or 7 episodes for a single series, so From Prussia With Love was put on hold.
Brilliant. 🤣🤣
Had me in stitches again 😂😂😂😂😂 got me the 1st time I saw it too
oh how i love these guys 😍😍😍🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Totally brilliant !!! Always makes me laugh 😆!!!
Grew up watching this as my dad was a huge fan. Never realised as a child that as far as comedy goes, this is the absolute best. A few other programmes were funny don’t get me wrong, particularly one foot in the grave and father Ted, but nothing compares to this. And they definitely don’t make them like this anymore. This was just good old inoffensive comedy. No doubt if it were brought out today someone would find it offensive in some way. Comedy will never be funny like it used to be
Yeah comedy has basically been destroyed by the woke cancel culture brigade
Pmsl. The best comedy ever 😂😂
