    For those who are worried about battery replacements, since all Camry’s are hybrids: Historically, Toyota’s Hybrids have been more reliable than their gas-only counterparts, EASILY lasting you over 300k miles if you treat the car properly. The amount you save on gas across those 300k miles alone can pay for the oh-so dreaded battery replacement, if you still want to replace the battery 20 years from now.

    • @huythai1222
      @huythai1222 5 месяцев назад

      I have a sneaking suspicion the TRD might receive the Rav4 Prime powertrain, the 2.4t, or perhaps the 1.6t. Rav4 Prime powertrain has good power and would make the Camry quick with good mpgs, but it is considerably more heavy than the regular hybrids and the ECVT would hinder performance feel. Both the 2.4t and 1.6t are possibilities, but the 2.4t has to be retuned to meet performance needs but it would start stepping on the toes of the Crown or Lexus ES. 1.6t would be easy to repackage from the GR Corolla and GR Yaris, but the last manual Camry was made in 2011 so unless they’re willing to break tradition they’ll have to rework a different transmission to work with the 1.6t.

Besides the fact that it’s one of the highest hp per L mass production engines, they can still pump out way more power even with stock internals. GR Yaris’ are making 450whp on stock internals. To put that into perspective I make 500whp in my FBO E85 Camaro SS with a 6.2L LT1 V8, while the 3 banger 1.6L makes just as much with a tune and down pipe.

    I'll say this I'm a fan of Toyota. I have had only Toyota products the last 14 years and will probably continue that. That being said, we have seen this same video 6 or so times. When they make an improvement of some type, we get a video sayingthis version of the Camry is better than the last and everyone gets all excited. At the end of the day, its the same ol Camry year after with just enough changes to get people to look at a Camry. If you are a Camry buyer, all you want is not ugly and reliability. The zero to 60 or sport driving dynamics is a supporting co-star that very few care about. Camry: Its not Ugly and it's Reliable.
