I wanted to see what I would get on the ES300h that I wouldn’t get on the Camry, but you said “I’m not going to get into the luxury features because it’s expected”. 😮 But that’s the exact stuff I wanted to know about, to see if those features are worth it!! I would prefer you spend less time talking about the grill and lines on the hood, and more time talking about the “differences” in the two cars. What you get on one that you do NOT get in the other is the whole point.
Agree 👍🏻
Good constructive comment for the young man. I agree.
Exactly
I think the poster is just assuming we all know that a Lexus will be more luxurious than a Camry. But the top spec Camry that's pushing 40k will have most of the features of the es. Even then the es will still feel more premium. It all depends on what you're going for. If you want the better fuel economy get the Camry off you want a more premium feeling car get the Lexus.
I agree. Maybe he can make another video comparison with the new 2026 redesigned ES300h when it comes out.
A refreshed ES hybrid with AWD would be one of the best cars on the market to own
Facts 4 wheel drive is ass
You will get your wish with the 2026 ES.
The premium models of all cars with their parent company always have these things you mentioned with the more premium interior, exterior, that badge ofc. But I think one thing that isn't mentioned is the fact that the components under the hood and the car are much better. Especially the suspension parts and such, and they make a heck of a difference when you drive the car and how smooth and quiet it feels. It'll also feel more stable at a higher speed than a Camry.
I love these comparisons. I have the 2025 Camry XSE and I love it but I'm going Lexus next time. However, all the money I've spent adding sound deadening and giving it a smoother ride I could have gotten the ES. I never understood all the reviews saying how quiet it is with the double laminated front windows. Driving around town is very quiet indeed. However, once I get up to freeway speeds, it's very noisy. Wind noise coming from the A pillar, road noise, noise coming in from the back when another car drives past me. I added window visors and that got rid of that annoying wind noise on the A pillar. I've added soundproof materials to all four doors and wheel wells, that helped quiet down the car quite a bit, especially on the freeway I no longer hear the cars rushing by. I also changed out the 19 inch wheels to 17 inch and quieter tires. The car is now very comfortable and quiet but still feels sporty. I love the Camry how it is now and planning on keeping it for a long time, but I'm definitely going Lexus for my next car.
I like the fact that the top spec camry has a small electric motor at the back for an all wheel drive so it's better in snow and wet environments.
The ES rear seat doesn't fold down because Lexus reinforced the body with a cross brace behind the rear seat. Added rigidity offers a quieter ride.
Bang for buck, I'd go 2025 Camry. The 5th gen hybrid it has is awesome! Unfortunately, the refreshed Lexus ES will still use the 4th gen hybrid. I'm telling you, 5th gen hybrid is so much better. More torque, quieter engine, and better fuel economy.
I don't know why they trying to give us a crappy small-refresh instead of an actual refresh where the ES will also be using the 5th gen hybrid systen while also being all-wheel-drive just like the camry. Talk about a wasted opportunity, especially seeing how the ES is one of the their most sold sedans all over the world. What a shame
But how long til the cvt and hybrid battery 🪫 bust and gotta go into shop an pay hella money
@@sergioramirez1693I'll tell you in 10 years after the warranty expires.
@@sergioramirez1693hybrids don't use a conventional CVT
I’d get a used Lexus
I'll pay the extra money and take the ES.
@@jackfrost99 frrrrrrrrrrrr
@@jackfrost99 I wouldn't
I do also , .be sure..
@@jackfrost99 I still won't pay extra money for the ES.

Have you ever owned a Lexus before? If you have, your answer might be different.
I made the mistake once of going from a premium car to its 'mainstream' equivalent. They are NOT always the same.
Nope! Another reviewer got upset at me for pointing it out
I am with you. Once you get use to it and it is not help. Do not go back to mainstream from premium. Personal experience matters.
Same. I had back to back Acura TL/TLXs and decided to go with a Camry. I regretted it within a month of purchasing it. Kept it 18 months and ended up giving it to my son and got another Acura.

Love my 2025 Lexus ES 350 Ultra Luxury!
Same! I have the 2024 ES 350 ultra luxury, iridium with Palamino interior. Panoramic sunroof. 😊
who cares
@@rocfellasap 😂😂
Same! I have the 24 year model, obsidian with acorn. I love that thing
All you Camry choosers are nuts. You have no idea what you're talking about. The ES is also like the Camry based on the size. That is it. The ES is avalon based. Also, sir, close the doors with glass up.
I have a 2024 Lexus ES300h and I love it!!! So worth the money
Justin, comparing a SE vs 300H is not fair, may be an XSE. Also compare features rather than body design.
The ES will be quieter and smoother riding and also consumer reports said they felt vibration in the steering wheel and the engine can make quite a racket when crowding it to merge on a freeway or climb a hill. Either one is an outstanding car that will go the distance. You just have to see do you want value or pay more for a premium feel.
I love my new Camry. Not only it drives well, it can fly with great stability. Best of all, it can submerge under water as deep as 125 ft. How cool is that ?!!!
Wow this guy is really good at explaining. This is how you make a video
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it!
I will choose the ES, May God bless me to buy it this year 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I test drove a fully loaded Camry and premium ES on the same day. The ES was obviously better.
Got that right
I wish you would of done the XSE or XLE. Those models compete very well with the ES!
XSE and XLE using the metal handles, wood, leather on door panels instead of cheap plastics? Honestly no. It will be still Toyota but little bit more polished. It is company philosofy compliance.
in that case should went with lexus es 300h f sport
I had a 1999 ES300 now I have a a 22 ES350 disappointed in overall interior quality mainly seats. They use to be so comfortable in the older models.
My first car was a Camry, it was an amazing car and lasted over 300,000 KM. Currently I own a Lexus RX450h V6 which is amazing 🥰. I had a ES350 as a rental and really liked it
ES for sure!
Bro... *_you would_* pick the Camry SE trim model. You for sure know you should have picked the XLE or XSE trim.. especially for a comparison to the Lexus 300.
Lexus all the way.
Wish the IS or RC also received the hybrid systems. It’s really a no-brainer for those cars. 300h or 350h , modern tech and safety features. Both look really good already so don’t need much of outside changes
The es300h interior is still so much more luxurious in my opinion
Also things like auto heated and cooled seats rather than having to manually set them to on or off
You don’t really understand unless you drive one
I’m not saying the Camry is bad, it’s an absolutely incredible car
But the Lexus is something else
Oh also Toyota interiors use more glossy plastic whereas Lexus focuses on high quality matte materials which hold up better in daily life
Glossy black plastic looks good for a whole 20 seconds until it looks dirty and gets scratched
Camry is an economy car but for the money it’s a much better deal. $ making vehicle
But the new Camry has the 5th gen hybrid system which is much better.
Don't know if that justifies $15-20k extra.
@@Gopinathk17 it depends what you’re looking for in a car
If you want a luxury vehicle it’s definitely worth getting the es300h, the Camry is decidedly economy class
@@Mr99Burns and the Lexus is a truely luxury class vehicle
They are for different customers
4:10 that'a what we want kid heavy metals not cheap plastics
This is a proper review. 🇨🇦
Lexus if your single, Camry if your not.
I wish they make a wagon/estate version of either of these two cars.
12:37 there's vibration cuz Toyota gives no treatment to those places whatsoever. Putting sound deadening mats into doors only takes this and other Toyota models to a completely new level of refinement.
I just test drove a 2025 Camry and a 2025 Lexus ES 300 hybrid yesterday. Truthfully, I could not fit in the backseat of the Camry. My head hit the roof. And the quietness of the Lexus while driving is light years ahead of the noise level of the Camry. I own a 2019 Camry hybrid and, truthfully, it is quieter than the 2025 Camry.
The front of the Camery looks similar to the Avalon that people had to get use to
Both are great. If you are a value type of buyer, go for that Camry. But if you like something a bit more luxurious and a bit better in most aspects, paying a bit more for the luxury Toyota isn't a bad idea. I own an ES300h and it's a keeper. No issues at 53k km driven, and very fuel efficient.
If you are going to be comparing to the Lexus at least get the XSE (or XLE) trim.
FYI, the LE and SE still use have a bulb in the headlight and taillight. The XLE/XSE have dual LED projector low/high beam headlights with the LED DRL and premium LED taillights.
I went with the 2025 Camry, the top trim XSE. I wanted a Hybrid sedan with AWD which the 2025 ES doesn't offer, and I also thought the current ES design is looking a bit old now. The 2026 ES (announced late April 2025) addresses those concerns, but it's won't be available for several months. Plus, they made the 2026 ES much longer for some reason, almost as long as the Sienna.
Honestly can't go wrong with either. the new Camry has the latest Gen hybrid system which is honestly much better than what the es uses and the es just feels premium. You won't be unhappy with either.
People are paying a very good price for both cars in the States. In south east asia the Camry is double to six times the price. That's why even the corolla is considered a luxury car there.
Would have been a better comparison if you chose the XLE Camry instead of SE.
Wish he would’ve done a Avalon or a Japanese made version crown
Sadly, in Ireland we can no longer get Camry's as they won't do right hand drives anymore. Now if you want something similar, you're looking at the Lexus. Absolutely gutted.
Wow. Isn’t India right hand side like you guys? And that’s a huge market i would think
Hai xe hai phân khúc khác nhau, mang đi so sánh là điều không thể, mỗi xe hướng tới người dùng khác nhau ❤
Love my ES350
The new Camry is 🔥🔥🔥!
Originally I wanted 25 xle. None were available, nobody could tell the realistic delivery date so i bought top of the line es 300 h with 4000 off.
Better than camry. Shape and lines. No piano black, no pano roof. Killer stereo. Better interior materials/color combo. I still get 4.5 -5.5 l/100 km. Worse. Acceleration of camry is noticable faster. Not a deal breaker for me as the lexus in sport mode moves well.
Cant underestimate how lexus makes neighbours foam at the mouth, 😂😂
Where did you buy your ES?
@@Chiklet42 lakeridge lexus 2024 model
Central New Jersey. Lexus and Toyota dealers are next door to each other but different dealerships owners. You can lease the Lexus any day for less than the Camry despite the Camry being about $10k less expensive. If you are leasing, go with the Lexus. If you are buying, a Camry is the better deal. Some complaints about that 5th generation hybrid system and dead batteries. Might be a safer choice to stay with the 4th gen in the Lexus. 2026 ES should get upgraded. The Lexus enthusiast web sites are already showing pictures of it.
Crazy enough, my sister leased an ES 250 from a central Jersey dealership (I think the one in Edison) this past summer. I recommended a hybrid model but she wasn’t/isn’t ready for a hybrid yet.
Love my 2019 es350
Does the Lexus provide more warranty vs Camry?
No fold down seats is a huge dealbreaker for me
ISN'T IMPOSSIBLE FOR TOYOTA AND LEXUS TO INTEGRATE THESE HUGE SCREENS INTO THE DASHBOARDS????😱😱😱😱😱🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
If the infotainment screen isn't integrated into the dash, it's an afterthought. Even $150k+ AMG's are doing this trash.
Integrate the screen into the dash. Like the GS-F or the LC500
I’ll just buy Toyota, why pay thousands more, I don’t need to drive a status symbol
You should be comparing the Toyota Crown to the ES models. I thing Toyota did a great job on the new gen Camry.
Yes it's a Lexus es with a Camry badge.
Hahaha. Fo real. The luxury if you can see it isn't it
😂😂😂😂
By far the Toyota will be a better option for most buyers. The Toyota make more power in their hybrid option compared to the Lexus and is more fuel efficient. Sure Lexus will have some more luxury, and premium features than the Camry; however until Lexus upgrades their hybrid powertrain for 2026 version, its a no brainer to go with the Toyota.
The door will sound more solid when the windows are rolled up ⬆️…
Have a 2013 Prius and you enter in the gas price and after you shut it off it tells you how much the trip costs you and that’s 12 years old 🎉
The Camry looks better than Lexus.
Camry XSE destroys it 💯
Camry - Topgun old school grannymobile #1
Yeah especially with all that piano black everywhere
@
So true! It shines up and looks amazing 🤩 👍
Camrys have over 200hp while being hybrid. Not really a granny mobile as a meme when there are many other slower cars bro
@
Topgun grannymobile “ bro” 🤣
I have the heavy metal 2025. Xse red interior. $35,900 . Was looking at Lexus first however. This car absolutely is a broke (wisemans ) Lexus . Sport mode xse the torque will surprise you. The $10-15k price tag diff is wellllll worth it imo. These new Camrys are HIM
I have a 1998 Mercedes S-Class and a 2025 Camry XLE.
OUF I love those old S Class! Great choices
I heard the es300h has injectors issues, can someone confirm about that?
It’s a steel hood instead of the old aluminum or whatever
Thanks.
Hey Dustin, can you maybe film a base es300 and a president line? Id like to see the difference
AND THE "MODERN" DESIGNERS ONLY KNOW TO MAKE FRONT CAR AS TRUCKS OR CATERPILLARS????😱😱😱😱😱🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
The choice of black to highlight each car makes it difficult to see the exterior design elements.
Wait till the 2026 es comes out
The wireless chargers on past cars like my Avalon does not charge my phone.
You should compare Camry with Accord and not the luxury Lexus segment.
If you are buying (Toyota/Lexus) ,To me should be made in Japan, so I would be buying a Toyota Crown, my daughter pay a little more for a Japanese make Corolla hybrid AWD. Just like if you're buying M.Benz,B.M.W.,Audi are made in Germany.
Camry is way better than the Es with a bargain price
ES all the way
The massive gaping fish mouth front grille, the ugly thin hammerhead headlights and the crab tail lights absolutely ruined the looks of this gen Camry in my opinion. Last gen was so much more sophisticated and sporty looking. You can't tell they look ugly in this video because of the black paint, it looks horrendous in other colors IMO.
The one big negative for the Lexus is the big spindle grille in front, which in my opinion looks better than the camry fish mouth at least. Besides that, the sleek and premium looks make it one of the nicer looking sedans on the road
why did u close the Lexus trunk with hand and not with button? It hurted me so bad, I can't sleep anymore.. do have emotional stress and depression
LOL I actually don't know why I did that! I'm sorry for any lost sleep!
❤ l like lexus
Reliable cars.
It also depends on where and to whom you're going. In certain situations arriving in a Camry might not be appropriate, ;) which is why the ES is definitely a more versatile car for everyday use. Both for shopping and business meetings.
The black color cars do not show well in this video. Remake it with white cars.
I deeply dislike the toyota logo whitout the blue ,they should have it as an option for 10€ or smt
I would get the Lexus in pure grandpa spec when I retire.
Lexus used the IS's tail lights and put them on their other vehicles. I don't like those tail lights. Give the ES it's own identity.
You get a Camry you’re gonna need to replace the awful JBL system.
Ask a Lexus salesman whether the Camry SE (rather than an XSE) is equivalent to the Lexus. Predictable response. Lol. An XSE is still not going to be equivalent to the 300H, but it might be a better value.
ty
Absolutely a rebadged Camry is an ES. Both are built in the same plant.
Bad noise both with window down, don't make it a habit people banging car doors with windows open, that's how you ruin your glass up/down bits and pieces
Why does that Camry look more luxurious than the Lexus?
xd
technically, the Es is a re-badged Camry
Nope ES's are based on the avalon.
why they still using this shitty leather shift cover ? Is it so expensive to make digital small move shifter ?
The Toyota XSE should've been the comparison. So, I couldn't get into the video.
Those jacket sleeves are waaay too short.
LOL yes I think you are right! I went through a phase with suits fitting like this but I think it's time I get some more properly tailored ones!
I am 1 milion% sure if you whould try to swap they'r face lexus to camry and other way around ,you whould have 0 problems doing that
Maybe a very sligh misalighment at the screws but id say that's it
Wich is not that bad because i like the black grill on the camry better 😅
But yea a posible price difference for posibli 99% same car it's fraudulent for me 😢 well see i will test both cars
Hate Camry, love ES 😅. Camry gives me Taxi vibes
Not a far comparising camry es...u should had the xse the higher trims...toyota looks way better lexus boring they need an update
Lexus and toyota look like same design, please don't, I love lexus ux and toyota corolla cross, please don't take same design.
Multimedia n sound system is the same, lexus ha lowered the quality of multimedia, in 2022 model Lexus has better sound system but now is the same as camry n corolla
Same breaks and rotors 😅
My God, take the presenter to a tailor. Please tell this person a coat two sizes too small is horrid. Spread collars should ONLY be worn with double-breasted suits. How can he be taken seriously. "I'm not going to lie to you." Of course you will, you are a car salesman.
fortuner is better than both
Camry is loosing its identity getting similar to Sonata
