I have a 2023 Accord EX-L, virtually identical to 2025 model. I really appreciate the Accord’s interior design and the larger screen. The hybrid integration is very smooth, and there’s plenty of power. No complaints at all.
@@boskobear Not with a street start which includes no torque braking. In that case, the Camry is quicker. It is also 2.5 seconds quicker to 100 mph and much quicker on a roll. The additional horsepower means the Camry will win every time.
My dad just bought a ‘25 Accord Hybrid Touring. The wheels on it are so much better looking than on the EX-L trim in this video. I will concede that the Accord’s exterior styling is bland but the interior is great. I’ve only driven his car briefly but it is very nice to drive. The car is exceptionally roomy, very comfortable and really a great driving car.
The audiences for people buying the EX-L and Touring are a little different. The EX-L gives better fuel economy with the smaller wheel size (17s) and a good blend of options at the price
Personally, I am planning to buy the Camry next year. Coming from a 2010 Toyota Yaris. I currently get 38-39 mpg, so it will be a little bit of an upgrade for me! 😊 I am not a fan of the front/back of the accord, I really like the sporty look of the Camry this year. I had considered both, but the sporty look of the Camry was what really pushed it over the edge for me
I personally don't like the huge grill in the front. Meanwhile, I do wish Honda has slightly more sharp styling. I am sure there will be many agree with me on this subject. Interior is for driver; exterior is for other driver.
I like the XSE grill the best with the cheese grater look. Not everyone likes it tho. But yeah the Accord could really use just a bit of style. Very generic. Otherwise the interior is great and it drives nice
The civic is pretty big now so I’d argue you can maybe start pumping it in with both the Camry and accord On the driver seat, there’s barely any size difference between the civic and accord Another things is that the base Integra isn’t that far in price from a top trim civic I personally would like to see that comparison of top trim economy vs base trim luxury
Looks go to Camry!! MPG Camry! Interior: Like the Infotainment more in the Accord! Comfort and Drive will be Accord! I would pick performance over outside look!
I like the accord better. Have had a few Toyotas recently and that all had bad paint and interior quality issues. Won’t go back until they fix these problems. They are great cars. Just feel Honda is a little more premium and better put together on the inside.
Honda's hybrids with this system get better reliability ratings from KBB and JDPower. They even have fewer clutch failures (the Toyota has a permanently-applied clutch built into the flywheel).
None in that segment has the precision, the magnificent driving and the quality almost similar to luxury cars that Honda provides, the only thing Toyota wins is in the mpg, the rest is plastic and poor driving quality.
Great video my only critic is essentially for both cars and the overall car manufactuirng industry as they all used the same stupid and boring color interiors dark gray to black it wont matter whihc brand; I think car manufacturers are stupid for going away from matching interior colors with exterior colors, so it does not matter whihc car color you get on the exterior, regardless on the interior will come with the same stupid color interior. And it seems that the current car buyer doesn't even care.
The Camry you can get a red leather interior which is pretty nice. Most people prefer black, gray or beige. Red and Blue are the main colors we'll see outside of greyscale and brown colors
@@BrosFOURRSpeed considering a Camry as my next daily but not sure yet. Other option is a low miles 2019-2020 540i (last year before they became mild hybrid). Dailing a 2009 BMW and it's been fantastic the past 13 years of ownership (bought it used in 2011)
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Camry SE compares almost one-to-one with the Civic Sport Hybrid. Almost the exact same space, and same tires. (Wheels and tires are why different trims of the Camry and Accord have different mpg.) The Civic is cheaper, faster, and gets better mpg.
Looks like Camry tried copying Honda with that decorative piece on the dash which integrates vents. Accord looks way better. Camry build quality is very bad now days on interior. I agree. I have had several Toyotas including a 2021 Camry, and a 22 4Runner. They suffer from bad paint quality massive swirls and scratch marks and I hand wash all my cars with care. The accord looks much better. I will never go back to Toyota unless they fix their quality.
The dash is much different then the Accord tho with how Honda did the mesh style vs the trim material in the Toyota. I do feel the Honda has a higher quality interior. But I like the Toyota style and more seamless hybrid integration
So pretty much is like picking a relationship in a partner the Honda is the nice guy check marks all the boxes but at the end of the day looks matters and they always go for looks 😭😭😭😭 (the bad boy) lol
The Accord does not have a CVT transmission. They also call it "eCVT", but it is nothing like the Camry's. A better name would be "virtual CVT." When cruising at highway speeds, it is a single-gear (overdrive) direct drive transmission. RPM=37*MPH. Any other time, the engine does not drive the wheels at all. It is an EV; not a Battery EV, like a Tesla, but a Battery+Generator EV. Since the engine drives only a generator, there is no relationship between its speed and the car's speed. You can calculate the ratio, and it does vary continuously, but it is meaningless.
Camry and this is coming from a Honda fan Honda has lost its ways the design is fugly the car looks nasty with that crazy front overhang also looking like a boat.
These were the only cars available. XLE is hardly different tho aside from the real leather and some options. 99% of the video would have been the exact same
I would not buy either one. I DO NOT want a hybrid at all...EVER! I now have to look at different models or years. This crap needs to stop! Hybrids make ZERO sense long term. My 2012 Accord has 245k miles on it. I'd have had to buy at least one, if not TWO battery packs by now and you buy a hell of a lot of gas for $5000!
I've seen a lot of hybrids hit 300k miles tho on original batteries. Full EV cars are a different story tho and you might get 75k miles on a battery. Hybrids seem overall solid for long term use

Got the 23 EX-L Accord Hybrid, get 51.5 miles a gallon. Love the simple body style and amazing interior
The Camry looks better ❤
It does!
Camry has better low end torque and is more fun to drive. My pick.
Glad that's what you'll enjoy!
Honda has more torque at 247ft./lbs & is faster 0-60. Accord interior is way better. Honda is my pick.

Toyota Camry takes the win, the car got good fuel economy, decent price and the SE and XSE trim are the best trims to buy.

Camry much better looking car in this latest model, i think anyway. I do love the leather provided in Honda EXL's
Yeah the Camry is a sharp car! You need the XSE to get real leather. However the Accord is a bit softer feeling and still has a more premium interior

I'd love like Accord better and I think the interior looks much cleaner. But the exterior is so bland and boring that Camry is a choice for me.
I agree. It drives great and has plenty of room. Just looks more like a generic sedan you'd see in a video game
Accord seriously needs a refresh for 2026
I think the best head to head hybrid comparo would be Honda Civic Sport Touring hybrid vs. Toyota Camry of a similar price.
Possibly. The Corolla competes with the Civic tho
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Not at that level. The Civic at over 33k in top trim. The Camry is a better comparo even though different sizes.

Honda's hybrids with this system get better reliability ratings from KBB and JDPower. They even have fewer clutch failures (the Toyota has a permanently-applied clutch built into the flywheel).
Honda wants to charge more for less goodies than the Camry and the front looks like something out of the 90s boring
