      @wulongchai 2 месяца назад

      can you share your thoughts on comparing these two cars and what makes you decide on Sonata? I am curious on these 2 cars too. Think maybe trade in for one of these 2 cars within next two years.

    • @alexle1935
      @alexle1935 2 месяца назад +3

      @wulongchai if you want a hybrid, go with the Camry. If you want better value, and you have a good Hyundai dealership, you should go with the Sonata for the longer warranty. I decided on the Sonata because of the looks and the panoramic sunroof, all of that was under 30k. I choose a car base on the cabin noise, looks, and comfort. Cabin noise on both were about the same on comparable trims, looks are subjective, but the Sonata looked apart and more simple to me, the steering was lighter on the Sonata and the suspensions were softer, too. I get about 29 mpg on the Sonata, it can do 40 mpg on the highway, which is pretty nuts. If you really want sportiness, go with the Sonata N Line, that thing is wild.

    • @wulongchai
      @wulongchai 2 месяца назад

      @@alexle1935 i was think about sonata hybrid tho. Is sonata hybrid that bad compare with Camry?

    • @alexle1935
      @alexle1935 2 месяца назад

      @wulongchai the hybrid system on the Sonata is just not as good, but it's still great, it's very unique in its own way, and feels like a traditional ICE with the 6 speed transmission. The Toyota hybrids are just known to be better tuned, the Camry's is a bit more powerful, too. I'd say just choose a look that you prefer, since both cars in hybrid trims offer about the same sets of features.

      In 13 I bought a 2Dr Accord V6/6 speed manual. I took it on a Blue Ridge Parkway and Tail of the dragon drive. It was red ext w/black leather interior. I only drove it 8k miles and sold it for a profit a yr later.
      But... to be honest that was one of the best and most fun cars I've ever owned. If it had been a RWD I'd likely never had sold it.
      Today I have a Z06 vette which is no comparison. I also have a V8 S-Type Jag. As compared to the Jag... thats a hard choice. The Jag requires a lot of upkeep and its value is close to zero. That 13 Accord Coupe would be nice to have in its place.
      Ironically both the Jag and that 13 Accord would benefit from significantly stiffer sway bars.

      I had the '23 Accord Hybrid and it was the worst car I ever had. And that's because I grew up loving Hondas. The Honda lineup feels very cheap in quality, especially with the Accord. Mine has been to the shop 9 times in a year. There was too much creak and rattle in the interior. Not even cheap compact cars make that much noise. Also, the materials felt low in quality, and you could easily shift the center console around, and the dashboard would shake when driving on rough roads.

      This is what people want and this is what the manufacturers want. Everybody loves the EPA mandates. The EPA relentless mandates on fuel. Efficiency has driven the entire industry to SUVs. It’s also forced consumers such as myself into SUVs as they no longer sell full-size sedans that you don’t have to slide down into like you’re at a waterpark with raked windshields and extreme angles for fuel, efficiency, and limited headroom
