    I’m also 5’5, my heaviest pregnancy weight was with my 2nd child at 199 lb which was cause by edema, I was back to 155 lb before I got pregnant with my 3rd child three months later. I only reached 175 lbs with my 3rd/last. All this to say that I started Semaglutide at 199 lbs many years after I had my kids, I can’t blame baby weight. 😮😂
    My goal is 145 pounds, which seems like a pipe dream but for some reason I think this is going to be different . I just started week 2 and am down 5 pounds which I’m confident is water weight. I’m like you and not finding it difficult to not snack. The first week I had some heartburn and was occasionally lightheaded. Great idea about electrolytes, thanks!

    I just started watching your vids after looking up reviews for the MOVE program through the VA. I was hoping to be approved for a weight loss med, but it seems like that program is more of what I already know and have already tried. How much do you pay for your injections?

    • @RisaBeesa
      @RisaBeesa  2 месяца назад +1

      @@TheycallmeMo1111 maybe it’s changed now that the medications have proven themselves effective. One veteran commented that they let him get on Zepbound. But you have to go through all the phases of the program to show you’ve tried everything. I enjoyed the program; I just didn’t like that the dietitian wouldn’t consider discussing the medications with us. She saw how excited we all got when one of us brought it up and it was a quick “Guys guys guys… whoa. Let’s refocus here. Those medications have tons of unknown and known side effects.” She kind of burst all of our bubbles. 😆
      I pay $300 per 4ml vial.

      @RisaBeesa Thanks for getting back. At my first appt w the primary Dr. I started talking to her abt weight loss. She started in on the advice that many of us have already tried throughout the years and that we already know, just bc it's basic common sense. She was overweight herself. I instantly felt annoyed and said ok let's get real dr. You know, and I know if it were that 'easy' to just stop eating this and that and exercise more, and lose enough weight, nobody would be overweight 🤭. She broke down and agreed lol. We all know there are risks involved in the injections. There are also risks involved in being overweight and taking all the other medications we are prescribed for the other issues that come with being overweight. I feel like, if there is a way to help ppl faster, and they are interested, allow them to make that decision. Sorry this is so long and thanks for the info.

      @@TheycallmeMo1111 you’re 100% spot on. And I have zero regrets about getting on these medications. Some might say that I could’ve lost 25lbs just doing diet and exercise, but honestly I don’t think I could’ve because everything has changed over time. I’m 44 and not only are my hormones off but I had more stress in my life than ever before (elevated cortisol) and I couldn’t quiet the food noise. I sleep better now, and am in a better mood. I’m no longer destroying all of my pants due to thighs rubbing holes into the material. Life is better! 💚🐝

    I have PCOS and a developing fatty liver. I do indulge myself once in a while and i do exercise as well although not regularly. Still I was shocked at the thought of having visceral fat knowing that I don’t eat junk food much. This has made my GP decide on prescribing me Semaglutide and although she wanted me to start with Metformin, I told her Met made me nauseous. The only unpleasant side effect of it was constipation but with regular water and fiber intake, i was able to regulate it somehow. Still, way better than any weight loss pills that make me palpitate.

    • @RisaBeesa
      @RisaBeesa  4 месяца назад

      Oh man, I’m so glad it’s helping you so far! Visceral fat is a scary thing and not something to take lightly, so I’m glad your doctor is actually doing something to help you. Did the Metformin cause stomach upset with you? And yeah, the constipation side effect still gets me every now and again. 😞

      @@RisaBeesaI believe the weight loss process is slow if you don’t do a regular exercise routine. I do walk a lot at work though. Lol. I have not seen an amazing weight loss yet like what others claim in most RUclips videos. I don’t feel as bloated as before though and it really does stop you from craving further when you’re actually full with the help of Ozempic. I’d rather be patient with this than go back to Metformin as met made me really dizzy. I feel normal with Ozempic except for the occasional constipation on the first few weeks. I believe this has been resolved when i went up to 0.5 and my body has started to adjust to the drug. I mentally also feel a bit of calm and don’t get “hangry”. Good luck to you!

    • @RisaBeesa

      Oh the weight loss rate is slow for me no matter what, but the difference with taking semaglutide has been that the weight trend is downward pretty consistently (with some stalls). Best of luck to you to! I’m a bit over 20lbs down so far as of my last update. 💚🐝
