    Hi there! I saw the guidon behind you and was like "ooooohhhh another veteran!" I was in the AF, and when you were talking about the PT test, it brought back bad memories. Haha! Congrats on your awesome weight loss!

    • @RisaBeesa
      @RisaBeesa  Месяц назад

      Haha! Omg I’m so sorry I brought back bad memories. The PT test gave me the worst anxiety every single time… even though I’d only ever failed it once in nearly 15 years (my first post-baby test… I failed the sit-ups), I worried about failing every time. I was in the Air Force as well and I miss it dearly. That thing on the wall is from my spouse’s old unit that he was in charge of… all I have as a memento from the Air Force are two plaques and some barbed wire from the DMZ in Korea. 🤭

    Thanks for the update, you look great!!! I started off on lisinopril too and got that cough, googled it and notified my dr and was switched to losarten. Nice video, thank you! Congrats on your weight loss. I started on Ozempic but it didn’t do anything for me. So the doctor changed me to Mounjaro, I’m on the compounded version. That was three months ago. I had surgery, I couldn’t take my shot for two weeks. But I didn’t gain any weight. I took my 12th shot yesterday, and I lost 26 pounds so far. My starting weight was 203 and now I weigh 177, I’m 5’6. Before I started taking this medication my blood work was really bad, in two months it just keeps improving. I’m thrilled. You could save the money to Planet Fitness and do Calisthenics in the basement along with using resistance bands. You have lost fat around your butt, however, you can do glute exercises to help shape it again and the muscle will grow. Don't you remember the exercises we did in the AF ☺ - not sure when you served as I have only watched two videos, but I still use those exercises as body weight is free and resistance bands from Amazon are 30 dollars or less. I'm sure older P90x videos exist for the cardio portions and you could try those 3 days a week on like a Monday, Wednesday, Saturday schedule. I bet it would be more successful and you can shower right away at home! What was your MOS in the AF? I was Pararescue

    • @RisaBeesa
      @RisaBeesa  Месяц назад

      You know, you are probably right about me just doing my own thing here in the basement. Luckily, Planet Fitness is only $10 a month. But I’m sure it will add up eventually. I am trying to learn how to use the TRX. Are you also trying to lose weight on medication? You said you were pararescue so I assume you are still in amazing shape. Those guys don’t mess around! So you and I probably had two completely different versions of what we did during PT. I worked in the intelligence community. Nerd PT is probably way different. I remember there being many options and one of them was a standup paddle PT, which I never did. Another one was canoe paddling PT. I regret not doing that one. I mostly attended, the long distance running PT. I have never been a fast runner, but was always able to run for long distances. Thank you so much for watching by the way! It’s nice to hear from a fellow vet.💚🐝

    Can I ask where you are getting yours? I’m doing it but I’m paying $499. I’m in month 3 and the first thing I did loose was my butt and belly fat. I’d like to lose some thigh but hope that comes along. I have gone from 162 to 144 and would like to get to 130. I wish I had done measurements and I’m going to. Your ass looks fine to me lol and cudos on the belt! That’s my goal! I have lost muscle mass and am working on that with those stretchy bands and weights. I’m sorry to hear of your health care load. I strongly feel my weight issue has been caused by my inability to deal with stress well while caregiving two people. I had a very stressful month and truly hardly lost any weight so what we have going on does matter! I’m sorry to hear about your scare and you do need to care for that. Hang in there and take care of yourself! I know of those meds as I have a young friend on them so be careful and thanks for sharing! You look great!

      Thanks for your comment! I have to get my meds at a compounding pharmacy in Vegas, but my friend/provider picks them up for me and ships them to me. If you live in Vegas you can totally use them. Have you tried Henry Meds? From what I understand they are only $300/mo and that includes shipping.
      Yeah it’s kinda weird losing my butt when I don’t feel like I’m done losing the belly yet. My goal weight is 140 (I’m 5’5”). It sounds like you’re doing an amazing job! I’ve never been able to lose very quickly. My mom used to be a caregiver and it weighed on her heavily. Sounds like stress is no stranger to you as well. Thank you so much for this heartfelt comment.
