Drove the first 20 years or so in Italy, came to the US and sat in a dry garage for 20 years. A real barn find, or garage find if you will. The 3.8 liter engine was whipped and as you can see everything that should be restored needed it. The body looks great, but I had no idea at the time that I would be decanting a beautiful claret.
Claret was only offered as a standard colour from 1961-2. According to Clausager (former archivist at Jaguar, so speaking with some authority), only 4 cars were painted in this colour. Ultra rare.
