Claret Jaguar. 1963 XKE Back to Factory Original. Ultra Rare Color

- This Jag XKE was sold at the Fattori & Montani dealership in Rome Italy in 1963. Jaguar Heritage says it was built 23 August 1962. Original color claret with beige interior. The car was silver with red interior when I got it. Who knows what the car did while in Italy. Was it on a race team? There is a Jaguar Club Italia sticker on the windshield. I would love to know if anyone from that club has any information about this car. This Jaguar XKE FHC Series 1 has been a truly rewarding project car.
Claret was only offered as a standard colour from 1961-2. According to Clausager (former archivist at Jaguar, so speaking with some authority), only 4 cars were painted in this colour. Ultra rare.

WOW, that car is astonishing and the color are just perfect for an e type jaguar. Your a lucky guy who is able to own a great and beautiful motor car like this one of Jaguar.😉👍

I think you made the best decision to restore her to factory colour thats the way jag sent her out into the world extra bonus is the rarity of the colour. She looks superb a credit to you

That is an amazing colour! Not for everyone, obviously, but it is a refreshing change from the 'usual' factory colours.

Yeah I agree. They really only got a pretty small piece from Chuck at Monocoque. No bigger than needed.

On my PC also good. There are some slides that do not have any video, but the volume for me is good. Please forgive me, I am new at doing these.
I will be making more videos, and will do my best to make the volume higher. Don't think I can do anything with existing ones.

Yes I know that I could redo the video with higher volume, but not make the existing one that has been published. But every system, multiple PCs, my mobile device, my TV all have adequate volume. I appreciate your comments and will try to do better. @@ianalderton6683
