This clip skipped a whole part of the 78 flashback
We can all agree that this scene was the best part of the movie, i would love to see a lot more of what happened after that night, instead of hearing constantly "Evil dies tonight"
It became a cult thing
That's exactly why Halloween II (1981) EXIST!
They made the dialogue so completely campy and cringey in this movie.
But no, "WE" cannot all agree that this was the best part of this movie. Not by far. The best parts were Michael's kills. Three major scenes to choose from. But it will never be the crappy written '78 mimicking footage.
Well they took him to a mental hospital and he stood there for 40 years. I’d prefer what we got over that.
Yeah. that's true.
@Doggy oro Guy is butthurt or something.
Seeing Michael Myers full on sprint is terrifying.

I would totally believe this was the same mask and actor.
Took me by surprise when I saw Loomis, that’s amazing how the man looked exactly like the actor
Airon Armstrong did a phenomenal job playing 78 Shape. I'm crossing my fingers we get more of him in Ends! 🤞
JJC was just as good. You wouldn't had even known someone else played Michael in that scene if the studio or IMDB didn't tell you.
@@wadewilson8011 Yep your right. JJC was just as good! 👍I had a feeling it wasn't JJC in the suit for the flashback scenes. Agreed, thank goodness for imbd so I can give Airon the credit he deserves playing the shape.

These scenes were amazing. Just love how they caught the essence and feel of the original movie.
They could easily re-create a whole new Halloween movie set in 1978 using all these actors put together can you just imagine
I have watched Halloween kills the 1978 flashback scene was one of my favorite scenes in the movie I would give Halloween kills 10 out of 10 this is one of my favorite movies
Same here, and there's a lot of throwback scenes like Michael Myers surrounded by the cops and standing while the camera moved back, Dr Loomis made a throwback, the dead dog, young Lonnie, the Myers house, a 1978 (flashback)Michael Myers mask, Haddonfield, Illinois: Halloween Night 1978.
looking back I appreciate Halloween kills so much more better than ends
This movie was great especially the story line from the original movie.
One of the best scenes in the entire series in my opinion
6:17 Michael: “I’m out”
The music in the back round is just so scary for a movie like this
Michael Meyers the greatest slasher in history he ruthless with it
IMO: Airon Armstrong really captures a Castle/Warlock essence...
NGL, I liked this whole scene better than all of Halloween Ends
not only do i love the 78 flashbacks i also love that they brought back Dr. Loomis
actor that plays him in this one looks just like Donald Pleasence such a perfect choice

1:52 I love that little detail where the cop holds his neck to the right and said “snap” as he’s neck as about to get snapped by the bullet Hawkins shot
It’s aggravating how people can’t see how superior this movie was.
Best part of all three of the DGG films.
5:39 the best part of the whole movie
I like how they blend in the 1978 film with the newer version.. it’s awesome..
Love how they show respect for the original halloween
I want to watch the series as a flashback. Atmosphere, 80s, music, design
5.50 when the officer body shots Michael and he just slams him into wall even harder like "Really? Is that your best shot?"

This movie is far from perfect but this flashback scene alone makes it better than Ends.
Love Horror Movie’s Like You Can’t Even Imagine But I Don’t Like The Remake’s.
Honestly I think this is the best part of the whole movie
This scene summoned up is fire better than Halloween ends.
Why didn’t they make the newer movies like this? It doesn’t exactly have to be filmed like it was in the 70s, but the dialogue, the music, the scenery, the tone, the overall vibe of the movie. The newer movies feel different, not as good as the older ones
They did a really fine job with this flashback scene
I LOVE THIS MOVIE ITS 3RD PLACE FOR ME
This scene is perfect in every way
This was an authentic capture of the original 1978 vibe 🎃
Man I love this scene. I wish this scene was in Halloween 2018 though as an introduction to Michael’s capture.
This was excellent, to bad it wasn't a full movie
Watching this on Friday the 13th. Let’s go!
Why did Dr. Loomis skip his famous: “ I SHOT HIM SIX TIMES!?!?!?!?” In this make believe 1978 flashback
Watching these flashbacks made me feel like I was back in 1978 at the movie theater even though I was born in 93 😅
I like how the made it feel like it's produce in the 70's.
These are some Rouge one Level flashbacks.
Back To 1978 Where It All Took Place In The Original
This opening scene was great. I loved it. Now Time to put Michael Myers in Space. LOL
I like how a second ago michael was moving quickly at 5:39 to kill this guy but after that he just calmly walks down the stairs
The best scene in the new trilogy. This is what new movies should be like. Just like this scene.
If only they added this scene to the one from 2018 and just skipped its sequels then we would've had a fantastic Halloween movie!
Damn why couldn’t the whole film be shot like this
Listen to when he’s looking at the footprint and the other cop yells Hawkins , u hear a dog growl , it’s crazy , but the music and the tenseness of the scene are sick .
I still love Rob zombie versions , u really have to understand what part 2 is about to like it .
But this trilogy was pretty good , especially the kills , I loved the kills !

I have a “Love, Hate” relationship with Halloween Kills… Mostly Love though. 🔪
best movie out of the new trilogy
It wasn’t a bad movie I just wish it had scarier feel to it like the old ones or even the rob zombie ones it just feels kinda forced
Hawkins was a sorry excuse for a cop I hated that scene where he spared Michael from being killed by saying "that's somebody's baby boy" when he literally tried to kill him himself and watched his partner be strangled like it made no sense logically
That scene left me thinking maybe Hawkins is apart of Myers team or knows something.
@@kantojohto4785 maybe he was dr wynns boy lol what’s the point of putting the car from the first film if ya can barely see it
So in this version all this happened before he actually tried to kill laurie and her friends so he doesnt go to the hospital and gets set on fire and goes to the ward for ten years this time he actully is locked up for 40
The fact that some people hated this movie appalls me
Best scene of the film😍😍😍
I didn't see 6 bullet wounds on Michael's chest which was fired by Dr. Loomis . Am I wrong?
Hello jumped 😂 when his boss called him
I wish they would do a movie with this vibe. Same lighting, camera, vibe, etc. They did a great job with the vibe of it.
They should have made a move like this i think everyone would have love it.....! Same feel as the 78 movie and time period just something different!
These cops are a terrible shot and so is this flashback scene
Even tho Michael is a fictional character, ive always wondered why he is the way he is. Why does he refuse to run and instead only walk at all times. Why doesn't he kill children? Which im glad he doesn't. We all know he can speak, but why does he choose not to? How is he extremely strong for a dude that doesn't lift weights? Is his strength natural or is something controlling him like a demon or something? Or is he just simply evil himself without a demon taking control of him? He's a interesting dude. What motivates him so damn much? Myers is my favorite horror movie character.
Answer to question 1:Michael doesn't speak because he finds no purpose in it he is the essence of evil and he doesn't care about communication
Answer to question 2: Michael only walks because he knows he will get you even if you continue to run from him.
Answer to question 3: Michael doesn't kill little kids because the director doesn't want him and even in the 2018 film the kid he killed wasn't actually a kid he was a teenager and he had a gun which was obviously a threat to Michael because he was in the same car as him
Answer to question 4: that question doesn't really have an answer cause you don't tell us from which version of Michael you are referring about his strength
And the answer to the last question: NOTHING motivates him and that's why he is the essence of evil he has no reason to kill no bad past no nothing he just does it without even caring unlike jason who always needs a motive for example you were the one responsible for his mom's death or you went to his camp and he got angry
Michael DOES kill kids. He killed a few in the last few movies alone.
From the words taken from the horror master himself, John Carpenter. Michael rides the line of being supernatural and a force of evil. That’s all you need to know.
@@Anakin_Skywalker47I think he had motives to kill, and I only know this because of Lauren who he chased after her daughter, since he has no motives, because exactly in the city he killed his sister?

Easily the best scene in the movie, the soundtrack, the clean white mask, the lighting, AND Dr. Loomis, feels just like 1978 again, and the shot of Micheal standing outside with guns aimed on him, is amazing.
Same spot where he was standing as a little boy in his clown costume while holding his signature chef’s knife with blood.
Love how they captured 1978 in a bottle with the set design, the cinematography and lighting to go with Carpenter's superb and scary score. The attention to detail is so perfect and I love how they integrated that small detail from the original when sheriff Brackett said, "all they took was a Halloween mask, a rope and a couple of knives". Now we know where that rope came from.
Michael likely used the rope to hang the one body in the closet when Laurie finds it and perhaps used it to drag his sister's tombstone up into the bedroom.

5:38 I love that in that scene we saw how fast Michael is when he wants to. we just realized that Michael can run. he just prefers to save energy because he knows his victims will eventually tire and need to hide. but there's no use hiding from Michael Myers.
We saw how fast he could be when he killed Bob (Linda's boyfriend) in the original movie. Michael charged at him the EXACT same way. The cinematography was just sped up in this version. Where do you think they got the idea from?
Definitely a short burst kinda guy. Shock and awe are what he's about
Keep in mind he was considerably younger then. Still in his 20's.
I have a feeling Michael CAN run he just chooses not to whenever people are watching him or when he's chasing people but when nobody sees him that's when he runs to get to people faster while being hidden. And he does it on purpose to keep the illusion of him being only a walker
@@Prophet_-jq1lv they just got another guy for that particular scene

But, yep, a lot of fans did hear that "a-gayn" and thought it was jarring and over the top. Donald Pleasance never stressed his Brit accent, so I guess we kinda stop hearing it after a while. haha.
Don't forget, though, even the Halloween comic books and a few other sources in the lore point out Loomis's English origins. There's one short story, called "Sam" that brings his past into play during another confrontation with Myers.

People hate on this movie because it wasn't another Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) vs. Michael Myers which we've seen couple times before. Halloween Kills moved to a different direction where we see that Laurie Strode took a back seat and she isn't the only one affected by Michael Myers, the whole town were also affected by him to the point where they went crazy chasing an innocent mental patient assuming he was Michael Myers.
Mr. Tavoli wasn't innocent though. According to the novel he murdered his parents, but then again they did abuse him.
Yeah. Everyone ethier wants Laurie or busta rhymes to kick the dog teeth out of Micheal. I enjoyed the film and thought it was better than those other past movies that all melt into the same pot.
No, people RIGHTFULLY hate on this movie because the writing and dialogue SUCKS! There's not creativity and originality with modern day writers. I'm now DEFINITELY convinced this is true by listening to the train wreck they did on the horror video game "The Quarry." The dialogue LIKE HK is completely cliched and so cringey you'd think a foreign 6yo wrote it.
It's like someone from another country's interpretation of how Americans speak to each other rather than how we actually communicate with one another.
And all that, "EVIL DIES TONIGHT" chants was just embarrassing. THAT'S why rations people hate on this movie. I personally didn't have to see a Michael vs Laurie. Seen it before. We'll see it again.

Okay...why be so intense about it? If the dialogue is the only complain and the writing (let's be honest all the halloween movies are the same with different characters here or there with different kills) then maybe the series isn't for you. Like all classic horror movies, even ones today, there's flaws in the movie but people still enjoy them. You don't have to be so intense in your hatred. There's other movies that are "subjective worst" than this movie but you're acting like it's the next "The Room".

A really awesome little detail that I noticed:
In the original movie, Sheriff Brackett mentions that, along with the mask and knifes, Michael also stole some rope from the hardware store.
Presumably due to an oversight, it isn’t seen or used at all in the film.
But as we see in Halloween Kills, Michael attacks and tries to strangle Hawkins’ parents with the rope he stole in the ‘78 film!
Good call on the rope but I think he used some of the rope in the 1978 first film to tie his sisters head stone to the bed. That's what I always thought he did with the rope.

@@wadewilson8011 I havent seen that movie yet
@@ivoryice5545 well there you go. John Carpenter (the same guy who created the original Halloween) remade a movie called The Thing in 1982.
It was a remake of a 1951 movie called "The Thing From Another World." About and Alien crash landing on Earth and killing people.
In 2011 there was a prequel made about events that happened BEFORE the events from the 1982 movie. There's a scene in the original '82 version where they find an axe stuck in a wall. In the 2011 prequel, they show you HOW the axe got there in the first place. Consider the entire 2011 movie a flashback to events that happened before the original '82 movie.

It really felt like a movie shot in the 70s with better film texture quality but still had that kinda roll-film based filming filter over it. Also the camera angles and shots the close ups when zooming in on characters truly felt like it was set in the 70s along with the cars and officer revolver horror trope. I always noticed in a lot of horror movies the officers seem to always carry revolvers guess to have the you’re out of ammo impending doom stereotype .
