How many balls of yarn did you use for total project ?

Wow, I didn't realize I didn't say that. I'm sorry. You'll need 2 full skein of each color
You won't use all of the 2nd skein.

Just scrolling through...this blanket caught my eye. I've just started breaching out in crochet, but this blanket...Oh my!!! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I may give this a try myself, once I get brave enough. (Been a knitter for decades)

Is this ALSO called the CHEVRON STITCH ? Mary on The AMISH TV SHOW always was making that pattern. But I'm thinking they called it the Chevron Stitch .

I love this pattern. It's a lovely blanket. However, I didn't care for the unstable look of the first row, or the rolling up. I chained 184 for the starting chain, then did 183 single crochet across chain. It stablizes the first row and stops the rolling up. I then followed your tutorial.

Love it love it, I will be doing one once I get some different yarn to what I have already. Trying to use it up with making smaller items as it's part balls and what full skeins I have is not enough to make larger items. So I've been telling myself no more yarn untill it's all used up. You explain and show the close up of your work very clearly, well done.
