ElectroMac74 It is, more so because it's AMOLED, because AMOLED screens wear out over time. It is always a bad idea to have on screen buttons or using just a part of the screen on AMOLED. Yeah, you won't see the wear right away but sooner or later it will come evident. Will skip the Galaxy lineup in the future for sure just because it has on screen buttons with AMOLED screen.
you have no idea what your talking about, please name me a new high end phone that will or has a physical home button. LG diched that 2 years ago, Google doesn't have one, HTC doesn't, the next IPhone wont have it, Samsung is actually behind when it comes to physical home button removal for android. So good luck finding a phone with a home button in the years to come...
VRdude Yeah I do, I have the S7 with pretty bad burn in with normal use. The problem is the amoled screen, not the on screen buttons. I refuse to buy an amoled phone with on screen button. It just gets too bad too soon.
Hmm I think we were on 2 separate pages, I was mainly stating that it will be impossible to get a new phone with no physical home button. As far as the burn In I have not heard of any issues with AMOLED screen, My S7edge has had no issues, and I had it since launch.

I have an overrated zte z max pro. But, it does get the job done :) I don't have any real issues. And the camera is shit, but does at least have an HDR option, so I've been able to take some solid pictures.

this is, without a doubt the best s8 review ive seen so far. only recently got myself an oppo r11, which works like a charm but there are some slight bits im definitely not a fan off. had the 2015 a8 before this and i definitely had my regrets switching phone. unfortunately, my 2 years contract only ends mid 2019 so that's when i either switch back to my a8 (if it isnt dead by then, and i still like it) or get something new. currently eyeing the s8 and 2018 a8, those 2 have been capturing my attention since release. with more and more people having them, that's definitely a phone i need in my life. everything about the s8 is jst perfect imo!!

Good luck getting a case and a screen protector for this model, you'll need it. If the S7 Edge has this minor problem, it just means on the S8 and S8+ it's more pronounced.

Its an amoled, the blacks are perfect, black bars aren't a problem.

this is, without a doubt the best s8 review ive seen so far. only recently got myself an oppo r11, which works like a charm but there are some slight bits im definitely not a fan off. had the 2015 a8 before this and i definitely had my regrets switching phone. unfortunately, my 2 years contract only ends mid 2019 so that's when i either switch back to my a8 (if it isnt dead by then, and i still like it) or get something new. currently eyeing the s8 and 2018 a8, those 2 have been capturing my attention since release. with more and more people having them, that's definitely a phone i need in my life. everything about the s8 is jst perfect imo!!

Amazing review! Very detailed. Most times, I only read reviews because I find it more detailed than videos; but this one is different! :) AND I LOVE HOW THE S8 LOOKS SO GOOD TO THE HAND. Actually tried and held one myself and dammmmnn it's so light and feels so premium!!!

Good luck getting a case and a screen protector for this model, you'll need it. If the S7 Edge has this minor problem, it just means on the S8 and S8+ it's more pronounced.

John Willows it is not as simple as this for a lot of people. You are the very gullible consumer that corporations like this absolutely love. The iPhone 7 cost around $220 to manufacture. The S8+ can't be more than $250-275 to manufacture yet they're selling it for $850.
