Mr Mobile, honest admission- I was SO EAGERLY waiting for your full review of the s8! I have an s6, and was planning to upgrade this year... there are tons of reviews out there, but no1.. and I mean NO 1 can hold a candle to you in this aspect. the deeply comforting voice with the perfect modulations, the non- geeky feel to the overall video, the awesome background score...just perfect !
My opinions on Samsung changed largely since the release of the s6, and this one just makes me feel that Samsung is doing innovative things, while Apple is sticking to the basics.
This has been one of the most complete reviews that I have seen on this phone! I have been an iPhone user for over six years, and I have been thinking of switching to Samsung, but all the videos talk about velocity etc. which is great, but I barely ever heard them talking about some of the less obvious features the phone has. I think I will buy the Samsung 8 after watching this video. Thank You!
Daniela Camacho . i just came out of the shackles of my iPhone 7 plus to Oneplus 3T a few days back and will be graduating to the S8 in near future. Feeling which i get, despite being an iPhone loyalist for the past 10 years, is of absolute freedom!..I don't have any hesitation in accepting that EVERYTHING on my android device is better than EVERYTHING on my iPhone 7 plus !.. sorry Apple,.. but you gotta innovate at a faster pace... AND PLEASE CHANGE THE SOFTWARE!... THAT 4×5 GRID APP SYSTEM SUCKS IN THIS DAY N AGE!
Daniela Camacho Velocity is speed in a direction.... Using big words , of which Velocity arguably isn't, doesn't make you seem more adroit . It just makes you seem Ikrsome. Speed makes more sense and would have been fine. It's a phone, not an aeroplane.
I'm very pleased to see none of the top comments feature people complaining about who's copying who, when the truth is, everyone inspires everyone and in the end the consumer is happier to have the most interesting features on his favorite device regardless of company or fanboyism. Good job today, internet.
Copying is an awful thing that just shows lazyness, lack of creativity, lack of skill, lack of imagination and so on. It's not a noteworthy thing. Futhermore, copying usually doesn't make anything better, since it's a copy. Luckily copying is the last thing Samsung does, becuase they usually lead the smartphone world in innovation, while other very known brands don't ever take any risks or make any innovations, apart from removing features, as if that is innovating.
Lucas Vidal Best comment I've seen by far, it's great that most smartphones in general are becoming more feature packed, and whichever one you'll get, you'll be happy to use it ^^
Galaxy S8 is the best phone the money can buy right now. I will definitely buy it but I will also keep my OnePlus 3T, which does not have random hiccups. Samsung, I love you but you can't fight against stock Android.
Mr.Mobile then Android Authority (Josh Vergara)... I like how Michael Fisher still not afraid to point out cons of the product that's being reviewed. Keep it up with the honest reviews!
Great video Fisher... probably the most versatile and honest review about the s8 so far... excellent video execution, audio and quality... great job . keep making more useful videos!
As an S6 user, I find the S8's fingerprint scanner hardly awkward. My finger already normally sits on that spot using my current phone (as the S6 has a recessed heart rate sensor on the same spot).
Daryll Alvero I am moving from an s6 too phone should be here any second 😁 and I agree, it's not that simple to use the fingerprint scanner in the front either. The way I hold my phone makes me think I will like that fingerprint location, that's where my pointer finger is around anyway.
Daryll Alvero, I am an S6 user too, and I find my finger resting on the heart rate sensor quiet comfortably too. But just dont forget the S8 is a MUCH taller phone. and the massive camera hump on the S6 kinda guide your finger towards where the heart rate sensor is located, which is also a big reason why the finger can lay comfortably on that spot. I believe the S8 is a lot harder to manage when it comes to the fingerprint sensor placement
Nicholas I've held the regular S8 and it feels pretty comfortable. The added height doesn't feel awkward; however, on the S8+, there is a bit of a shuffle when reaching for it.
0:39 When the Xiaomi first came out, I thought it looked kinda ugly, and I had my doubts about phones with minimal bezels. But the LG G6 and Galaxy S8 show how to do big screens beautifully.
Great review as always Michael, I've been enjoying your videos since the S5/Note 4 Era. Currently using the S7 Edge and very satisfied with it, think I'm gonna wait at least another year or so... Cheers from Portugal!
All your videos are so well put together and narrated like no other tech RUclipsr out there, so immersive.. and I'm not just saying this for the contest.. Great job! :)
Michael fisher you deserve to have a RUclips channel you're the king and you're voice is very good very easy to understand every words 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 I wish I had a TV channel so I could hire you for the news 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I loved you from pocketnow and now I have an entire channel dedicated to you and your style. Everything from structure to the filming and editing. All top notch.
I still use and love my s8. Feels like the perfect size for my hands- and none of the features that have been added in recent years have felt like they were, "Must haves." Once you disable that Bixby button, it's perfect.
Navaro El Ardi yes I love the idea of having a taller than wider phone the demo units of the s8 are really nice and to see such a big screen and hold it with one hand comfortably is crazy
Bravo!! Samsung!! and Bravo Michael!! Excellent reviewing; short and sweet. Can't wait for the full reviews to come. You and Detroit Borg are my favourite phone reviewers by a country mile.
Hey, love this review and the way you bring up both highlights and low points, most of the other reviewers just go on and on about how flawless this phone is, so thanks!
great review, useful insight on Samsung GraceUX Software hiccups and having it displayed on camera (5:32) as most reviewers just gonna bombard falsely on the S8 performance
Hello Mr Fisher, I just love the way you include certain nuances throughout the video to show the inner humour in you and enhance the videos re watchability a notch high. keep rocking . have fun. !
Roberto Martínez 40gb of ram lmao even some high end desktops don't have that much. 12 cores? A 12 core intel is $1000 itself I think you meant 8 cores
Yep, I definitely thought 40gb of ram was something possible in a cellphone and also a 12 core processor. And I also forgot to mention the water cooling system Samsung uses. So sad that even with that, their phone still lags.
still missing fast charging, wireless charging, iris scanning, customization beyond wallpapers, a headphone jack, minimal bezels, a usable low light camera, no camera bump, super AMOLED displays and apks apple? EDIT: expandable storage
MICOLE WHYTE no i didnt mean the pixel lags its just when that guy said im getting the next pixel i said to wait for that phones succesor cause it wont lag
I had the S8 for a solid 3 years and some months and honestly would say that this phone was my favorite one by samsung by far. The only thing I didn't like sometimes was the fingerprint sensor placement and the Bixby button that I eventually found a way to disable. Other than that, the S8 was a really good phone.
Ezaya Kashiwazaki why? It's just the same thing as the HTC U. With a bigger screen and bezels. HTC is only surviving due to making the Pixel not for their ever decreasing sales.
The point driven home for me on the S8 is simple: Why pay so much for a good-looking phone when a growingly cash-strapped market can look to very capable alternatives and save so much more? Yes, subsidized phones with carriers are still a significant market to cater to, and I thought that fit me as a consumer forever. Then upper mid-range phones like the Moto Z Play, OnePlus, Alcatel, Huawei, and the like came in strong and I consider the flagship to be too much for not appreciably more. The invisible hand and all... *Courtesy of my awesome Moto Z Play Droid.
David Peterson i agree my man. I really enjoy my Moto Z Play. The battery life is insane for how i use it(Moderate-Heavy) like streaming tons of "Hulu" and music. The hardware isn't the fastest, camera is definitely not the best. But the phone is pretty quick and both camera's gets the job down. In all im happy with my "mid-ranged" smartphone👍😊
JosePh CoNey The heck of it is, at an earlier time (ok, like two years ago), I would have strongly considered a flagship like the Moto Z Force, devoted all I could to afford such a device, and bought it as soon as possible. And I've only been a part of the smartphone craze for the last 4 and a half years, so I'm not the gadget expert like our esteemed "Bass-tonite" Mr. Fisher. But tastes seem to have matured as the market diversifies, and even a schmo like myself can acquire some insight with what is useful for myself and what is useful for the average consumer. I'll still defer to the aforementioned expert, seeing as he's worked the literal floor of gadget-dom and seen the corporate rollout of the latest and greatest firsthand...Boy, I guess all this exposition is sand-washing up to me saying, "Times be a-changin', eh?"
David Peterson well in the flagships defense i still see them pushing the envelope with speed (iphone 7+) display technology ( samsung galaxy s8) cameras ( pixel, iphone, galaxy) which apart from huawei seem to not evolve that quickly, but who knows I might be completely wrong
You know it's bad when you are watching a video, and you think "Hey, Michael Fisher probably has a video on the same thing!", then you watch it and realize you don't want to go back and finish the other videos ;) Good job as usual, Michael. Those headphones are supposed to be pretty good, but the limiting factor is that you are plugging them into a smartphone. It would be different if you were using one of the few smartphones that excel in that department (LG, HTC, London Marshal), but when using a phone with just better than average sound, the best headphones are going to be under-utilized. Samsung sure made the phone pretty, but everyone is going to be wiping off that camera lens!
ted baylis unfortunately the audio is just a small improvement from the S7 as it doesn't have actual 24 or 32 bit dac/no dolby atmos tho it supports flac/wav. as well 24bit & 32bit audio files don't expect volume output as was back when note4 was the greatest phone in the planet which having had the note 7 it was the 1 thing that made me feel cheated even tho I admittedly loved the display it was thankfully due to the recall that the ZTE Axon 7 with it's 24bit 192hz Dolby Atmos Audio with stereo front facing speakers that actually has Super Amoled qhd with gorilla glass 4 5.5" display that side to side with S7edge proved 2 Me that wireless charging and waterproofing is deserving of a phone that offers a visual & audio experience before asthetic beauty which is alright if ur looking for status but what good is a muscle car with a small car engine! The Display is beautiful tho so are all Amoled at 2k as hdr is for when u playback hdr content so I still feel short changed and will only buy the S8+ when I first buy a complimentary dac/amp headphone accessory and I Mean A Good One. who knows a waterproof flagship killer will be out b4 the yr is over with Amoled & Dac Dolby Atmos makes me think on Zenfone AR, 8gb ram 128gb Rom with SDcard QHD Amoled 5.7" keeping standard ratio & DAC with Sony's 23mp camera that's Fucking worth 700 bucks
Michael Torres The axon 7 will be my next phone. Hated to see that the axon 7s did not retain the dual front speakers. Dual FRONT facing speakers should be standard. People who don't understand why have never had an htc m8, or a phone with similar speakers.
Lol, Samsung's biggest flaw will ALWAYS plague them.... they just CANNOT get TouchWiz right😂.... I can't even begin to tell you how many Samsung devices I've seen that lag terribly after just a year and freeze, crash, restart on their own, or just shut off outta nowhere.... Yet, for some reason, Samsung still has a cult following of users and fanboys that cream their panties every time Samsung releases a new device😂... Based on this review and my OWN experiences with the S8. It's ok... design is fantastic(besides the fingerprint sensor. Speed is ok. Camera is great. Display is really nice. Software yet again kills the experience though...
Ross MK apparently so... Samsung fanboys don't seem to understand that a device isn't suppose to age like that lol. Then again, unlike iOS, Samsung typically doesn't update their devices often and continually. That's one thing I absolutely fucking love about iOS. I received like 3 updates on my 6s Plus since purchasing it. Each one better than the last! Which is why I'm excited for iOS 11! Bet Samsung takes a good 6 months to update the S7's to Android O when it drops. If they update them at all....
Gurulzeon not all iPhone's are perfect... but in comparison to Samsung devices. Issues are few and far between. My experience with my 6s Plus has been nothing short of nearly perfect. But, then again, I manage my apps properly, manage my connections properly, restart the device when needed. Things most people never think to do....
The software doesn't anywhere near kill the experience, most of the changes made are actually improvements, such as letting you search in the settings app or the in-built blue light filter. Are you sure you weren't using an S4?
Paulson Dumbbells completely agree. There are even some budget android phones which doesn't lag but Samsung still can't figure out how to sort this problem out. But those Idiot Samsung fans always buy it.
Curved display sucks, same s7 camera, awful fingerprint reader location, lack of stereo speakers, cluttered af ui and isn't as smooth near iPhone 7 Plus (even 6s). Waiting for the iPhone 8/X BEAST
I love your voice and the word you use. I feel the every word, its juice. Like gimmick, gleams, souped-up and many more. Thank you for such a pleasant review of techs and cars. And congratulation for 352,009 subscriber. I wish to see million subscriber soon . Again thank you for making youtube better place.
I really love the way you review a product from consumers perspective instead from "i know everything coz am a techie". example: your camera review section. you don't talk about ISO shutter speed and all. just image quality.
It’s always wonderful to watch your mobile reviews which are fantastic, and I never get bored a bit because they way you present makes an interesting punch where as an audience we love it!!! And the good part is you always balance your reviews and not biased to any company but still give the best of both the worlds. Did you make a review on Samsung edge 7? I’m not sure if I have seen it but a few months I started using Samsung again and it’s a great phone after my S2 LOL! Now Samsung galaxy 8 brings a new level of perspective in display technology and waiting to see what apple 8 will deliver!
Amazing work! I am not talking only for this video but for every video you upload. Outstanding work and your channel is growing up very fast. I wish you the best and keep the good work going. Thank you for everything.
Omg I fangirled when I found out you were on RUclips, I missed you so much from pocket now, I thought you quit RUclips omg I love your voice, thank God your here I can't believe I've missed out on your content
Hey it's the most defined it explained video of galaxy S8 I have ever saw on RUclips and as well as it has the best screen i have ever seen on any smartphone.... Mr.Mobile you did a very great job on this review of galaxy S8....
I only trust the reviews from two persons on youtube Michael Fisher and MKBHD simply because they give you their opinion which is respected rather than just describe the handset. you were the reason I watched pocketnow then I woundered where you went so I searched Michael Fisher and found MrMobile channel and subscribed really really appreciate the style of your videos and the way you give your opinion.
Wallpaper questions? Download Backdrops or Wallrox from the Play Store. Enjoy! :)
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] This has to be the best S8 review out there!!!
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] what a life saver lol^^

same
Triple H yeah only thing i hate about samsung is how they try to compete against google in some departements that google is good at like bixby
Faze Cancer Yeah, but there is still google assistant on Samsung phones too, along with Bixby
Gamer Lycan but what's the point? Google is the best assistant.
Triple H agreed
This has been one of the most complete reviews that I have seen on this phone! Mr. Mobile = Best reviewer voice overs on YT
Great video Fisher... probably the most versatile and honest review about the s8 so far... excellent video execution, audio and quality... great job . keep making more useful videos!
Best Tech RUclipsr !! Each and every video is master piece!
I love all of the suave titles you put on your reviews. Small things that display how great of a reviewer you are.
I don't know why so many people dislike the fingerprint scanner. I've had it now for a week and it feels completely natural.
Watching this in 2022. The S8 plus was a phone I loved. I’m about to get the S22 Ultra but I will always remember this one.
As an S6 user, I find the S8's fingerprint scanner hardly awkward. My finger already normally sits on that spot using my current phone (as the S6 has a recessed heart rate sensor on the same spot).
areeb1296 there is only 5% chance 😐
areeb1296 s6 is almost the same size the s8 is a few mm skinnier and the s8 is a bit taller
Daryll Alvero I am moving from an s6 too phone should be here any second 😁 and I agree, it's not that simple to use the fingerprint scanner in the front either. The way I hold my phone makes me think I will like that fingerprint location, that's where my pointer finger is around anyway.

man what a review, no one can beat MrMobile when it comes to reviewing phones.
2:23 what magic is this though?
I used to only watch Michael Fisher videos on PocketNow. So happy he has his own channel as MrMobile now. I love his narration and review style
Many thanks!
@@TheMrMobile hi Michael 👋
The most crisp, most to the point and the only no bullshit tech channel! Hats off
The S8 is one of the signs that proves that the Note 8 will be the best phone of 2017. I just can't wait...
Bluetooth 5.0 is a nice addition, and THAT SCREEN! Great video as always, nicely edited and very conversational.
allot of people are going on about samsung phones lagging on some things and ive had the s7 for a year and have never experienced lag
Yeah same with me
The older ones do because of Samsung's skin over android
They just dont how to use a android phone efficiently
0:39 When the Xiaomi first came out, I thought it looked kinda ugly, and I had my doubts about phones with minimal bezels. But the LG G6 and Galaxy S8 show how to do big screens beautifully.

Hey, love this review and the way you bring up both highlights and low points, most of the other reviewers just go on and on about how flawless this phone is, so thanks!

That's the color I'd go with, for sure.

the way you compare the phone in the video with the effects helps a lot to spot the difference in the devices, that's a thumbs up from me :)

great review, useful insight on Samsung GraceUX Software hiccups and having it displayed on camera (5:32)

I am gonna stick wid my s7 for now 5.1 inch display and 577 pixels r still gud for me... Plus m9 is quite snappy 😊😊

I have an S6 Edge currently, due to this phones lag I'm gonna skip this one and get the Pixel instead.
Moeez Syed doesnt laq on me after the nougat update,
just reformat the phone after get the nougat
Moeez Syed you should wait for its successor
I was talking about a pixel successor, and yeah i saw it lag ,but everyphone lags

You know it's bad when you are watching a video, and you think "Hey, Michael Fisher probably has a video on the same thing!", then you watch it and realize you don't want to go back and finish the other videos ;)
Good job as usual, Michael.
Could you make a video about Android O?
I wathed MKBHD first, and it's like he reviewed a different phone. This is the review that gives an hones view on this new phone! Thanks mr.Fisher!
S8:- Infinite Display
MF:- Infinite Likes!
That's correct 😎
ABHILASH Micheal Fisher ☺️
But what about audio????
ted baylis unfortunately the audio is just a small improvement from the S7 as it doesn't have actual 24 or 32 bit dac/no dolby atmos tho it supports flac/wav. as well 24bit & 32bit audio files don't expect volume output as was back when note4 was the greatest phone in the planet which having had the note 7 it was the 1 thing that made me feel cheated even tho I admittedly loved the display it was thankfully due to the recall that the ZTE Axon 7 with it's 24bit 192hz Dolby Atmos Audio with stereo front facing speakers that actually has Super Amoled qhd with gorilla glass 4 5.5" display that side to side with S7edge proved 2 Me that wireless charging and waterproofing is deserving of a phone that offers a visual & audio experience before asthetic beauty which is alright if ur looking for status but what good is a muscle car with a small car engine!
This was the review I was waiting for -
as usual great job Michael!
TheAverage Joe I think they just think that's normal with all phone lol
Ross MK apparently so... Samsung fanboys don't seem to understand that a device isn't suppose to age like that lol.
Then again, unlike iOS, Samsung typically doesn't update their devices often and continually. That's one thing I absolutely fucking love about iOS. I received like 3 updates on my 6s Plus since purchasing it. Each one better than the last! Which is why I'm excited for iOS 11!
Bet Samsung takes a good 6 months to update the S7's to Android O when it drops. If they update them at all....
ive got a shitty iphone 6 that restarts by itself every few hours, and its laggy aswell
One of the best reviews here on RUclips! Thanks for these great videos MrMobile!
s7 lag after 6 months. reduced to the performance of a budget phone. same story will happen with the s8.
Paulson Dumbbells completely agree. There are even some budget android phones which doesn't lag but Samsung still can't figure out how to sort this problem out. But those Idiot Samsung fans always buy it.
Vipin Mohan the note 7 has lagged once idk wtf you talking bout
Paulson Dumbbells because you root you’re phone. That’s why it lags
Try to clear cache, mine never lags, as fast as a rocket
Vipin Mohan I don't really know why you think that everyone that buys the S8 is a fanboy.
I mean, it's a great phone, are you really that naive?
Please keep your intro music and your introduction to your mobile reviews...it's so damn cool man great review
Curved display sucks, same s7 camera, awful fingerprint reader location, lack of stereo speakers, cluttered af ui and isn't as smooth near iPhone 7 Plus (even 6s). Waiting for the iPhone 8/X BEAST
i compared to 2 cameras. The hardware might be the same but the s7 shots were warmer..S8 camera is really good from an already great s7 cam

I never had a problem with the placementof fingerprint scanner on this phone. It was actually designed to be unlocked with the right index finger .
This is why I love this channel with amazing reviews. You almost made me want to buy the s8 now!
The best from the best! Awesome work as always MrMobile!

Everybody and their brother is doing the Galaxy S8 review but nobody does it as well as Mr. Fisher. Great job Michael.
most detailed review as always....by watching your reviews its totally impossible for me to watch other reviews on same devices by other channels..
Great review! I like the editing and the way you explain the phone's features.
Yours is the best executed tech channel on RUclips in my opinion. man you deserve way more subs.
love your content ❤🤘
Hey it's the most defined it explained video of galaxy S8 I have ever saw on RUclips and as well as it has the best screen i have ever seen on any smartphone.... Mr.Mobile you did a very great job on this review of galaxy S8....
I only trust the reviews from two persons on youtube
Michael Fisher and MKBHD simply because they give you their opinion which is respected rather than just describe the handset.
you were the reason I watched pocketnow then I woundered where you went so I searched Michael Fisher and found MrMobile channel and subscribed really really appreciate the style of your videos and the way you give your opinion.
Love the hair style Mr Mobile. Phone is great and glad to see the detail review.
