Once a year, on March the 10th, Mario arrives at the Nintendo offices to spread terror. He fears the powers that he possesses but is helpless to stop his unending rampage of ruining people's lives. The man who grew is now forced to leave his home as he no longer fits inside. The man who was given powers of fire was arrested for arson after he burnt down the building, not realising his new power soon enough. The man who was covered in plushies perhaps had the worst fate of all, they kept multiplying at an exponential rate and eventually crushed him beneath their weight. Spread awareness, so that next year, we may be prepared.

If TP was on the gamecube only, the tutorial would have been significantly shorter because no need to teach the wii.
If TP was on the wii only, the game *could* have graphically been better, because the wii had stronger hardware that could do so.
I'd say the Wii version held it back more, because gameplay is what matters more, and that tutorial in the village is miserably paced. It was extended for the wii version of the game, because of the wii's controls, since it was a launch title and everything was still so new.
This is a good example of why I love Nintendo, they just have so much fun!
