Since no one has yet commented, in my opinion, this person is NTA. Growing up in the rural south, and being a part of the LGBTQ community, I can understand the thoughts and feelings from both sides of the story. My mother loves me, but my grandparents have disowned me because of my partner. I have my own horror stories, but sometimes cutting off the rotten branch can save the tree. For those who might see this, who are in a similar situation, and are having trouble, remember that love is patient and kind, never demanding or hurtful. You are loved, you are special, and you are worth your own happiness, regardless of what others might say. It seems scary or difficult, but no one knows what the future can bring.

From what I hear, your parents are hypocrites. They are religious and conservative, but they committed the sin of pride by caring about their beliefs more than you. Family should not make you choose. Cutting off contact will one day make them see that. You apologize, they will have power over you.
