your gonna want to right click the wheel, and go down until you see "geometry actions", then click it and press "add center axle". simple

So instead of putting "axle" from the menu click the wheels and go to geometry actions and click "add center axle" and on how to fix the cars wont ride into other cars is by selecting the cars and go to collision layers and make sure the "collision layer A" is checked for all the cars and check "no self collision" for all the cars.
