Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I am a fellow PCOS sister and I feel like so often people don't discuss these kind of problems and leaving me and my friends to feel alone. I feel like most mental and physical health issues that women go through are hidden and not discuss so I really appreciate you bringing this to the forefront. Thank you for always being a great advocate and supporter. I just want to let you know that I was fortunate enough to have two babies with my PCOS diagnosis. Also I completely understand about being regular and I didn't happen to me until I was 40. It sounds like you have a wonderful medical team to support you , educate you and help guide you in your decision. I can't wait to hear the next steps and I'm very very proud of you. 💙
Remi💕 I was diagnosed with PCOS last year and like you have had irregular periods pretty much my entire life. I wanted to send you positive energy and love as my husband and I were able to get pregnant naturally in July/ August and we are due in April this year! Sending love to all women going through PCOS. I remember having the fertility treatment talk with my doctor and when I called her saying I think we are pregnant she was beyond excited for us it was awesome. We were just talking about starting IUI or IVF this year so it’s been a whirlwind and feels like a miracle baby. Cheers to this journey of navigating through PCOS. Love knowing we have a community and aren’t alone.
I have PCOS!! I was diagnosed at 14. Got pregnant spontaneously at 25 and my son is now 2. It’s definitely possible! Soooo happy to hear one of my favorite influencers talking about this condition ❤
I was diagnosed with PCOS years ago but I never really researched or knew that there was anything I could do to alleviate symptoms. Last year, I had so much inflammation and fatigue, hormonal acne, and was having fertility issues. I have recently started doing a lot of research and made some diet and lifestyle changes, began supplementing, and I’ve seen my insulin resistance and inflammation reduced and I’ve regulated my cycle. It’s also been great to see so many RUclipsrs I admire speak out about their PCOS journey.
hi remi! i also have pcos and it's so nice to hear you talk about it. i've felt so alone for the last few years on my pcos journey and it's so refreshing that we have you as an advocate. i also stopped birth control about a year ago and i'm on the journey to trying to get a period naturally. love you remi
You are a 10/10.I’m not talking just about visually. The positive attitude you exude is amazing. You helped me today. I can’t have children. I hope you have a good weekend:)
Thank you for speaking on this topic! It's so sweet of you to share your journey with your health too. I've had irregular periods since I hit puberty and never figured it out. I'll definitely be doing more research and talking to my dr.
Remi, thank you for speaking about all of this! One thing I have learned with having PCOS is getting back on the pill to get a regular period is not always best. Your period on BC is actually not a real period. I would do more research before considering that!
Remi! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with PCOS… please keep updates. As someone who is newly diagnosed with PCOS and is scared and sad for the future of figuring out family planning and issues seeing someone else’s experience and what other doctors have to say is comforting! Thank you for being you ❤
Thank you Remi for sharing your PCOS journey with us… It helps me to understand it more since I have a family member who has it… You’re the best… ILYSM!! 🥰🤗
remi, i'm so proud of you for being so honest and open about your PCOS and fertility journey. it speaks volumes to your character💗 sending so much love and positive vibes your way🤍🤍
first of all, you and drew (and alisha) are on my favorite peoples list so it was amazing seeing y’all together!! but as a PCOS babe myself, i really want to thank you for being so willing to be so open with your own journey!! it’s such a weird, sometimes frustrating and difficult diagnosis to deal with and navigate, so i know that at least for me it’s been so comforting to see you and others being vocal about it at all online! all my love!! ❣️🫶🏽
My twins just turned one in January, just want to say pregnancy is possible with PCOS! I had one IUI and luckily got pregnant. I hope you have success as well.
I wish you luck your PCOS journey. I have PCOS and I appreciate though taking about PCOS an bringing awareness. You sparked me to get heckle do’s in one of your blogs last year.
Thank you so much Remi for sharing your journey on PCOS, as someone who doesn’t have it I think it’s a good reminder not everyone is the same when it comes to periods/fertility etc. I am praying for everyone who struggles with it🙏🏼✨
As someone with PCOS that struggled with infertility for 3 years before we were able to have our son, I think it’s fantastic that you’re working on this now because this will hopefully save you the heartbreak that infertility brings. I wish I would’ve known I had PCOS way before we tried getting pregnant but unfortunately didn’t find out until I had already started trying. Sending good vibes that everything will work out for you guys!!
I don’t have pcos to my knowdlege but have hormonal acne and some other symtoms but started getting into healing after being diagnosed with adrenal fatigue last year. I’ve also been on the pill for a while and honestly I’m terrified of having pcos because I feel like EVERYONE does these days. It’s probably the crap they feed us, the way our food is grown, the stress we’re under, etc. praying for all!!!
I was just thinking this! It seems to be more prevalent than it used to be. I am sure social media and more people being open about it also contributes.
Honestly growing up I never heard anybody talking about PCOS and I'm happy that more and more people are learning and talking about it. It makes me feel like i'm not alone.
BC will be the reason for further PCOS and infertility… remember periods and female anatomy has only recently been studied in 2016. If your period isn’t more normal/reg in a year THEN consider your options. Also take inositol
Hi Remi- I don't want to give you unsolicited advice, but going on birth control to regulate your period just masks the underlying issue. Even if you have "regular" periods on the pill, your period on the pill is not actually a real period. I highly recommend reading the book "Taking Back Your Fertility." Fingers crossed that your blood test has some answers for you!
@@aspenbenavidez6366 the pill forces your body to have a period. Hence “not a real” period. Nothing to be offended about. Without the pill, your body doesn’t do it naturally. I deal with the same thing
@Aspen Benavidez perhaps Christina was referring to anovulation when she meant not a real period. I have PCOS as well and I did not know that all cycles aren't 'true menstruation '. After yeeearsss of dealing with this only one OBGYN explained this to me. Wgen true menstruation happens, eggs release, thus we ovulate. Anovulatory cycles are periods in which we bleed and shed our lining as usual.....but the egg doesn't release and we do not ovulate as we would with a 'real' period. This happens alot with PCOS and even happens sometimes to people without it. But most times women don't know their cycle was anovulatory because we bled that month and everything appeared normal. Many women can't naturally tell if they are ovulating with their period and ovulation is SUPPOSED to occur with your period. Hopefully this sheds some light on a true period :)
remi! you should try acupuncture- pcos is one of the issues that ive seen acupuncture be really effective for a lot of ppl, just make sure you find someone good!
Thank you for sharing!! I’ve been diagnosed with PCOS and have been trying to have a baby for 3 years, which has been so challenging! I am so happy you are thinking about the future, and starting to prepare your body!! Thank you for making me feel less lonely on this journey 🫶🥹
I started using naturally derived progesterone cream after my period and I started getting regular periods! I am not on birth control and my last scan showed ALL my cysts were gone. (History: I’ve gone 3-9 months without a period my whole life)
Thanks for sharing this! So glad to see a fellow PCOS person having success with treatment! I’m currently on mild birth control but I’m curious about other methods of treatment. Congrats on finding what works for you, I wish you health and happiness !!
I've used a progesterone cream and a progesterone serum (one at a time) for years and since I started it I've had regular periods. Before the progesterone cream/serum I had very irregular periods that were months apart.
@@carissaclaire thank you so much, it has taken years to finally make it to this point. Cutting out processed foods(not completely) helped too. I wish the same to you and one day you’re free of cysts. Rooting for your ovaries!😋💕💪
I'm not sure if this will help much, but seasmoss can help with hormonal imbalance and assist in correcting irregular periods. Obviously everyone is different, but I thought I'd share!😊
I got off birth control about a year ago and I been feeling way better without it, I have incorporated inositol which has helped. You should look into it, it helps a lot more than metformin which doctors always give out.
Hey Rem! Has your doctor ever talked to you about estrogen pills? I don’t have PCOS but I am a medical mystery. Lol and I went on estrogen pills to force a regular period. It did work a few times but I haven’t been on them in a while.
I've been a fan of yours since I was in middle school and I'm now 22! So crazy haha. I'm also about to get a puppy. It is going to be an essay dog and I am trying to do research on how to take care of it. Can I ask what you feed momo and Daisy? I would love to know more.
This might sound crazy but can take Mucinex during ovulation to thin out your uterus membrane which in turns makes it easier tp get pregnant because the swimmers can get your eggs easier.
Next time you are at Trader Joe’s get a jar of their jalepenos they pair so well with the taco hot sauce too!!!! Also hot take but carrots in my tuna is the only way to eat it and lately green onions lol 😂 in a wrap on repeat I don’t know how I feel about pesto and tuna and that texture but I would love to try 🤤
From one PCOS sister to another, I was just wondering what type do you have? I noticed there are a few types such as hypothyroidism, insulin resistant etc.
Birth control bleeding is not shedding of the endometrium, its just some bleeding from lack of hormones! So maybe look more into that if periods are the only reason you would go back into birth control
