- Zoom 75 SE by meletrix is one of the best budget custom keyboards I've tried to date. It really doesn't require any foams or mods to sound good with the non flex cut PCB. The looks, sound, and feel are all fantastic. The add-ons and customization are a nice touch, especially the screen, which gives it a really nice look.

Hi, I've got a question, I ordered the zoom75 with flex-cut pcb, is there a huge difference in sound between the two or you haven't tried the flex-cut one, thanks in advance
If you plan on using the foams , flex cut is totally fine.

I just picked this board up on the weekend, glad to see your review of it. I am contemplating putting your switches in it, not sure just yet though! But they do sound like a banger. Wish it was uploaded a bit sooner so I could have at least used an affiliate link :/. I opted to not get the special edition one, as with the internal weight and lcd screen I ended up paying around $269. I had not realized my error in opting for Air/Sea shipping which raised my cost by $20 or something. That could have gone toward the special edition lol. Anyway, look forward to the next vid!

So it's actually a blend. Key Kobo WOB with GMK Civilizations novelty mods
So the SE version comes with a CNC case and the essential is casted?
This sounds very poppy with your switches. It seems that unlike the Jris, the solid cast case actually helps the sound profile of this vs the QK75 and JRIS75.
Yeah it's the case, non-flex cut PCB and density of the board.
This will be my first build for a keyboard is the internal weight worth it and should I get the non flex cut or flex cut
The internal weight is good if you like more weight and it does add some density to the case, which affects the sound. Totally your call. As for flex cut or non, depends if you plan on using the foams. If you are and want a bouncy and soft feel, get the flex cut. I still recommend the non-flex cut in case someday you stop liking the foamy sound. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the review! Just a heads up, it appears that something went awry with the audio or some sort of cut between clips around 3:18. I picked up some clackbits over the weekend, now just have to decide what board to put them in, and how long it’ll be till I get the ambition up for lubing switches again, they sound amazing in this board!!

Thoroughly surprised with what the Zoom75 has to offer considering the previous Meletrix releases have been a bit of a disappointment. Contemplating selling my QK75 for it because I want that LED screen, but I'll have to sit on that one.

"Budget" as it's around 210eur (for the EE wireless) without shipping and other fees in Europe T_T (my current "budget" keyboard RK71 with switches and keycaps came to 180eur with shippings included)
I really like it and want it, but I'll get Monsgeek M1 for now and wait for Zoom75 V2 in a few years time if I feel like I really need it :D
