I have been following you for a while now Steve and I first tried Canva a year or so back and thought it was an over-bloated application. Then a few weeks ago you showed me how to use Canva to make signatures. Ok, I thought, maybe it's time to revisit this application. I will be the first to admit that I was rather hasty in my first assumption. I am trying it and I am learning a lot. Steve, you keep coming up with these great tutorials. I think it's more we are about the same age, but your way of explaining things is concise and to the point. Not drawn out like lots of other channels.
    K

@@dottotech So, as a follow-up, I have now used Canva to create a 12 slide presentation that I download as separate BNP images for use as a slide show. I previously used a photo editor with Cut and Paste (!). So impressed (after initial misunderstanding of how some basic features work). I will be using this in future. I probably wont use this on my mini ipad next time ... Thank you again, Steve :-)

Using a Canva-created thumbnail to make the video standout amongst your usual videos was a neat touch. Looking at the video, all the paid stuff had me rather concerned. What if you don't know that stuff is paid? What if you create an entire graphic, go to download it, and then it tells you to pay up? That seems like a minor design oversight, I think it would be better if they informed you, as you pick the template, that it contains paid-for elements, showed you which elements those are, and MAYBE gave recommendations to replace them with free alternatives.
The fact that it's an online platform where you upload stuff also concerns me. What is their privacy policy on the uploaded images? What about ownership for the images created on the platform? Do they have any plans or response to a call for an offline client, where you could use saved templates on your computer, rather than having to connect to their platform all the time?
That being said, it does look like a very useful tool, and I think this video is a great demonstration. Canva should pay you for this!

Hello. I'm pleased I found your channel - in particular this video, as I am new to Canva. I run a small pub in the UK and have a business facebook page. I also have a digital screen at the pub - currently not in use - as I seem to have creators block re the content. I need to promote the pub with content on the screen in terms of, for example, various spirits we sell, or live music events etc, new products coming in. However, I don't want the content to look like 'supermarket adverts'. It can be hard to find the right way to project images to get your point over with no sound. I think Canva can definitely help me with Facebook cover pics for my page and events. I am wondering though whether I can use Canva for the digi screen. I use Powerpoint to make slides which I export as a video then upload to my signage portal software to show on the screen. Thank you for sharing. If you have any ideas/tips re digital screen content I would welcome any comments you may have. Cheers for now
