Great review! I'm a 15 year user of Evernote, but now that I'm retired I don't like Evernotes continual rise in price. I exported all my Evernotes into PDF, then uninstalled it in favor of Apple Notes. Up until now, I've not paid for Apple iCloud. But if my Notes storage gets larger, Apple's Cloud storage is far cheaper than Evernotes yearly cost.
I have a folder in Apple Notes that I named Wallet and this is where I store individual photos of my loyalty cards, library card, etc., so I don’t have to keep key tags or full sized cards. I open Apple Notes, open my Wallet folder, touch the file with my CVS card and hold my phone up for the clerk to scan. It works every time.
I tested the limits of Apple Notes in terms of memory. I wanted to transform into a note this big file I had, the full 614 pages of a dictionary I summarized. And I was astounded: no problem whatsoever, the note is fully functional, no slowing down as I scroll into it.
I am a doctoral student and I use Apple Notes extensively while doing research. I keep two screens open on my iPad at one time-the article I'm reading and Apple Notes. Using smart notes I can organize my research and quickly find it when needed. I use Apple Notes in my personal life as well. The checklist feature is great for grocery lists. Once you tap on an item, it goes to the bottom of the list but is still there for the next shopping trip. In my work I use the scan document feature to turn in time sheets and other documentation. I agree with you that the Smart note feature is a great search tool.
Another great integration is between Notes and Reminder. Highlight any text in a noter, chose Share, select Reminder and add tags, dates etc to the reminder. I use that to add and share our dinner plan with the Today filter so I know whats on the menu today - simple but effective 😅
FYI, if you hold the Apple Pencil stroke (stop moving it, but don’t lift it from the iPad surface) at the end of creating certain markups (circle, arrow, straight line, heart, triangle, square, heart, etc) it will create a ‘perfect’ version of said object .. in your example, you would have had a couple of arrows, a square, and straight lines of highlight color on your text ..
I have been an Apple Notes fan since the first day I bought my first iPhone. I’ve always appreciated the simplicity of it. That said, I have also tried so many note taking type apps because they had the one or more shiny things than Apple’s. No matter what new shiny object other apps have, I end up transferring those notes back to Apple. Great job on your story telling of Apple Notes. I even learned about the option to capture text. Thank you.
Have you considered discussing the Reminders app? I found the most amazing thing when I set a reminder for a specific location (like when I drive past a certain store on my way home). You can actually increase or decrease the radius from that location so you get the reminder a little sooner and not too late (like when you are passing said store). It was brilliant!
I also use reminders for shopping for groceries. You can create an entire list of every grocery item you buy over time and mark them all as completed. Then when you need something you just open the list, click the item needed again and it immediately moves to the top of the list which can then be checked off when you pick it up.
I love that I can lock my passwords in Notes & use Face ID to open it. I have learned something new today. Thanks very much. As an 80 year old, remembering passwords is getting more & more difficult. This way I can also access them in Notes as well as in Settings on my iPhone 11.
I think it’s better to keep a dedicated application for storing passwords like Bitwarden. It works very well and it has a seamless integration with iOS. I have been using for two years with no complaint.
I switched to Apple Notes exclusively about 18 months ago just because it was so easy to use and set up. Just a superfluous comment about tables in notes. Mine get used for my yearly reading list and habit trackers.
I love Apple Notes. On the iPad, you also have a quick note feature, where you can swipe up from the corner to bring up Notes on the fly. Handy when in another app and wanting to take some quick notes. Thanks Steve!
This was an eye-opener. I was given a retired corporate iPhone which I've been using for pictures, podcasts, music, etc., but not as a phone. I see now that I've entirely underused and underestimated Notes but that's going to change. Thanks!
Great video as always Steve. As with many of the other comments, I have used many of the other note taking apps. Bottom line for me is that Apple’s notes is so well integrated into their ‘ecosystem’ , Siri’s ability and the simplicity of the app and enhanced security makes this a ‘no brainer’ decision for me.
As always do do such a great job in your videos. Excellent quality video and audio, very much appreciated. I've been using notes for quite awhile but you have enlightened me to more of it's features which I appreciate. I would like to see a comparison of Google keep and Apple notes. Thank you
Thanks, Steve, I appreciate your comprehensive review of Apple notes. As a Windows and Apple user, I have played with Notes, liked many of its features, but have never mastered. It were used the tool regularly. Your video inspired me to try it out more Plus I’m thinking of going back to a Mac computer.
*WHOA! I remember watching you during my childhood when you were on television.* 😮😳🤯 I always thought back then that you were so intelligent and funny, I wanted to be just like you and I actually did my grade 8 public speech based upon content that you talked about on the show. I didn’t know you have a RUclips channel but I just subscribed. I can’t wait to flip through your content 🤩🙌
Apple Notes is my go to solution for my family; my favorite feature is "sharing" content to Apple Notes; I share hotel reservations; tickets; etc... to shared Apple Notes folders. note: you can even share to an existing Apple Note to append new content to an existing note. It's also possible to put an "apple notes folder" on the desktop; that makes it easy to access tickets, hotel reservations, amazing return QR codes, etc...
One “feature” of Notes that I use is its ability to strip formatting, when copy and pasting. If you copy formatted text from a website and wish to paste it into an email, by first pasting it into Notes and re-copying it, the original formatting is removed.
Thank you so much. I have a poem I've written a poem for my dog who passes away. I've been trying to figure out how to integrate a picture I have of him in the poem some how. Thanks to Apple and thanks to you I can do that now. I am very grateful for time you took to teach me how to do this. Now maybe I can finally complete this poem I've been wanting to print for some time. Ty From San Diego
I have been a heavy Evernote user for many years, but have recently begun running a duplicate set of notes (yes, I am a touch OCD!) in Apple notes because it saves notes in a more universal format, making them easy to share. They are quickly becoming my future.
@@colors4u682 S-L-O-W-L-Y. It's all cut-and-paste. I'm starting with the most critical/important notes that I want to have always available. I am adding in others as I can. Some, I'm sure, will never get transferred.
Thanks Steve for a helpful and informative video. I went deep on OneNote years ago, went all-in on Evernote next and have now gone completely to Apple Notes. The big thing for me is the integration and sync between desktop, iPad, and iPhone. No matter where I am I can access all my notes easily and quickly. Yes, others can sync, but not so well as Apple does it.
The most powerful thing about this app is the simplicity. Other apps might have richer features but I find myself always switching between apps like notion, evernote etc. It is the switching that impacted my productivity with the apps. Apple notes gives me the sense of reliability that I can forget about the app and focus on making notes, instead of constantly searching for the best solution.
For a long time I've been thinking about finally moving away from Evernote to Apple Notes ... you may have just closed the deal with your awesome overview. .. I use siri to take quick notes all the time (even while walking the dog, haha).. so convenient.. you pointed out some other cool features I didn't know about too. Thanks for that!
Siri has improved so much over the years to the point where I use her regularly. Sometimes I’ll ask her to do something I’m not certain is a feature and she’ll surprise me like asking her to take a note or asking her to play a song by singing a verse to the song I don’t remember the name of. It’s really impressive how far Siri has come.
Nice video! One quick creator tip - Avoid using the trigger phrases out loud e.g. "Hey Siri", "Alexa", etc...edit that out. It makes the listening experience a little more enjoyable.
I am moving all of my Evernote content into Apple notes, so a very useful and “in time” video that was offered up to me without even searching for it. I’m trying to migrate to more fully to Apple and take advantage of my iCloud storage. These differentiator features are also going to be very handy for me. Hadn’t thought about using Siri to start and note, so I just tried it with my Watch. Game changer.
I've gone back and forth with note apps and I'll usually end up back in Apple Notes! I love the sync and features. However, there are still features in Notion that are beyond Apple Notes. I would love to see a video about consolidating notes from all the apps into Apple Notes. Thanks for the video!
I had reason to use Apple notes scanning ability on a couple of documents convert it to PDF and send. It was a lifesaver, I was on a time frame, my scanner was down, IT network engineer son told me about it. I had no idea it had that facility. Your video is very good, you explain it well 😊 I am always learning. I have an iPhone, iPad and watch, all sync’d so easy, wouldn’t be without them.
As a tiny modification to the search feature and for organizational purposes I add emojis to some of my titles, giving the same emoji to items that have a common thread but which are being kept in different folders. Maybe this is a similar function to using smart folders and hashtags at the bottom of the note, but I think the visual component works well for me.
@@Andrew-7324 Hi. I wonder why this is happening to you. I admit I usually do my notes on my iPad so I had to get my phone out and see if it happened to me as well. I tried 3 different things on my phone: First, I tried adding an emoji to a note title. I found it offered me the full selection of emojis. Next, I tried inserting an emoji to the body of a text. Again, I was offered the full emoji selection. Last, I decided to see what would happen if I typed an emoji into the Notes search bar. And once again, I was offered the full emoji selection. I was hoping to offer you a solution, Andrew, but I’m sorry to say I couldn’t simulate the problem. Maybe someone else will offer advice here.
Excellent presentation. I experienced issues using Apple Notes on my iPhone 11 synced with iCloud. On more than one occasion, I lost some of my notes. Another occasion, one of my sub folders was gone. To this day, I cannot figure what happened. So, I’m a little nervous and continue to rely on One Note as my go to App. But, as always, I enjoy your RUclips video tutorials.
Thank you, I plan on using notes much more after seeing your youtube vid... could you recomend a pdf editor ? how would I take a note into pdf document form for sharing with non apple users?
As an Apple user I have never found the need to use any other note taking app. I love the synchronization between the different devices. It's only gotten better with each iOS or macOS upgrade.
I have not used a note system to date. Based on your review, I will start to look at apple notes. I read the comments so far and would be interested in your take on some of the concerns that people have expressed such as issues with iphone integration. Also, I would be interested in the google keep and apple notes comparison. Thanks for your research.
Yes on comparing (or even combining) Google Keep with Apple Notes. I use Android platforms (phones/tablets) & often need to ‘integrate’ those two note apps. Thank you for your research & presentation(s)!
This is an excellent video that covers areas of Apple Notes that other videos don't. I like your straight forward teaching style. Evernote just changed their policy. They will now charge for what I was getting for free. I watched several videos before I watched your video, and your video was the best! I've decided to move my data from Evernote to Apple Notes. I have had an iPhone for more than 10 years, but I wasn't using the Notes feature. Thank you!
I'm a year late to this tutorial because im fairly new to the APPLE Eco system. So far, I have been discovering various features that are convincing me that APPLE is, at least for now, the way to go. APPLE NOTES is one of those features that is so convienent to have, especially if you are on the go a lot. 😊
Thank you, Steve, for highlighting a few really useful features in Apple Notes. About 4 years ago, I switched from Apple Notes to Evernote, but you've given me some compelling reasons to consider switching back. I think Apple Notes has evolved a fair amount since I switched to Evernote, so it really does deserve another look. I plan to take my workflow and do a side-by-side comparison between Notes and Evernote to help me decide whether I want to switch back to Apple Notes. I do love all of the integration that Apple builds into their ecosystem, and I wouldn't mind getting away from that annual Evernote cost. Thanks Steve.
Hey Steve. Excellent vid. I use Evernote and Apple notes religiously. The former for biz and the latter for all my creative work. Yes it’s the integration and Siri and the spontaneity of Notes that works so well. The only thing you missed was Notes in iCloud is great if your stuck on a Windows computer somewhere. Take care.
I use Notes all the time. I regularly find myself taking scans, inserting text, sharing notes (like a grocery list, and keeping a locked note with passwords. I would like to see apple incorporate the recording function (audio and/or video) similar to notability where notes are synced with a recording. It would be especially cool if they could sync across devices, like setting up the iPhone to record something while I take written notes on the iPad and having them sync together so when I review the note and listen to the audio the notes “re-write” themselves as I listen to the playback.
Great video. Love how you give examples and adding a great explanation. Subscribed today. Your video on Notes has once again encouraged me to make it my "GoTo" organizing tool. Using Siri is a key component for me, especially when driving and using Apple Play. This seems to be the key time of day that ideas, To Do''s pop into my brain. I am an Apple user all the way: Home Kit, iPad Pro & Mini, MacBook Air, pencil, blah blah. Syncs endlessly and so user friendly.Have tried and paid for many "organizing" tools but keep returning to Notes. Would like to see more info, how to's on Notes. Thanks!
Just stumbled on this, already use Notes - but Steve's outstandingly clear run through and explanation brought out an aspect or two that I was not aware of! Thanks!
Steve, the wondrous (at times!) algorithms brought your video into my view. This is excellent work. I like your thoroughness and clarity of communication. I'll be sharing this widely and have just subscribed to your channel. Keep up the great work! Joe (Dundee, Scotland)
Thank you for the useful review! I choose to use Notes as the main app. Most powerful features: 1. Password - with FaseID is working strongly and efficiently. 2. Folders - the most convenient way to organize your notes. 3. Scanner - for work and personal life I scan a lot of documents and convert them to PDF, then sync them into Google Drive. 4. Simplicity - you have what you need to simply start work. Weaknesses: 1. Simplicity too ;) I need some more editor instruments (color pallets, link organizer, etc.) 2. Synchronization - maybe this is personal, but my iPhone XR and iPad 2022 don’t synchronize properly from time to time. 3. Unity with Reminders and Calendar - it will be a lot useful, like we have in Google (Gmail / Keep / Calendar / To-Do) Eventually, Notes is a powerful personal productivity tool.
Hi Steve, wonderful video, even if I already knew all the features is never to much to listen how other advanced users put into use this great app. I recently started to use Apple Notes as my main notetaking system. The bigest disavantaged that I see is that, as I'm a Windows user, would be very appreciate if Apple improved their Apple Notes inside icloud, which is horrible, or release an App for windows.
I appreciate these types of videos, though I'm familiar with Apple Notes, it's great to be reminded of the features. I especially like the text scanning feature because I'm usually on the go, or can, on the spot, show my class, via PP, a text from a textbook, etc. Pretty cool. Or, perhaps quoting from a book for a paper that I am writing. There's so many creative uses with Apple notes. 😊 Thanks (p.s. I know Iʼm a year late to this video)
I’ve tried several different note taking apps over the years, but keep coming back to Notes for its ease of use and connectivity with all my Apple devices. It doesn’t do everything, but what it does, it does well.
Great explanation of the unique features of Notes. I had never really thought about using it instead of Evernote. I willlook for a basic tutorial. Thank you for a an entertaining and informative video.
I am almost exclusive Apple Notes now. The scan documents feature, tags, and quick notes along with the organizational structuring and search features and the ability to move You Tube videos, snap pictures, etc is among the best. I do wish they would just merge Pages into Notes and be done though. It is REALLY basic in it’s ability to make a note look impressive. Thank you for your video. I can always pick up something I need to be incorporating into my daily use.
same. it may look simple but effectively powerful i would say. i took 300+ notes in it during lecture or for my own purpose and its great for a person who's not into unnecessary things
@Lil Queerdoe When I want to make notes regarding a RUclips video to refer back to I may move that video to Apple Notes and place it in a folder that I have created .. such as health. As I watch the video I make my notes. Later, if I choose to share the video and my notes I am able to do so from the Apple Notes folder.
I wish they'd merge pages into notes too, although I'd never thought about it! Make them one app and make it so you can hyperlink notes to other notes and I'll never use anything else.
I find it great for simple things like remembering combination padlock numbers and alarm codes and locking the note makes that feel secure . I wouldn’t ever use it for really important passwords . Also the swipe from bottom left to make an instant note is a feature I use a lot . I use Microsoft to do as a to do app more but will take quick notes to convert to todo later I would prefer to use reminders but cant save a pdf to reminders I think and I need to do that
Look Inro Microsoft One Note - I use both apple and one note, the ability to create impressive looking notes with more than the basic features that apple provides is phenom.
Hi Steve. Thanks for this. Once I’d tried Apple notes, I stopped trawling the other apps out there - life’s too short !! Been using it for a few years now, and more than satisfied with its functionality and seamless sync to my other devices. I particularly appreciate the locked notes and scan features.
For me, it’s sharing of notes with my wife regularly. I can’t easily replicate that with 3rd party tools. So simple, yet the power of that feature alone is priceless for me.
From a subscriber: This is a really outstanding video (of course it got a "Like") with super clear and highly practical information. You made me aware of how many exceptionally helpful features Apple Notes actually has. I intend to make much more use of this software in the future. Many thanks!
Great video! I use Apple notes exclusively and find it adequate for my needs. Love the ability to ( now ) insert Links and pictures. What I didn’t know was the integrated scanning of text and documents feature that you showed us. Thanks for that. And although I knew about Siri, I had not thought about using it within notes, to get a note started. Keep up the good work!
The Hey Siri feature is one I would have loved 20 years Ago while working with ex-Toyota Consultants on conversion to a Lean Production system. I used to follow these men around the factory floor while trying to handwrite my notes in a composition pad. So often this was done I was while walking and the result was messy writings. I have taken those notes and am now reading them into thenNotes app. But translating my scribblings is sometimes difficult. Being able to add pics of examples to my notes would have been a remarkable benefit, as well.
I have been using Microsoft OneNote for over 15 years. I think it does, and has forever, all of this and more. I use it mainly in a business scenario but it does personal stuff obviously. The camera integration using an iphone may be better with this, but I don't do that much. One thing I do all the time is "print to OneNote" using the print driver. This allows pdf email attachments, which I get all the time, to be organized and processed through OCR in the OneNote search index. This, for me, has been a daily use since 2008 and has been an enormous advantage. I know Apple people like Apple stuff, but all of your key points (have to see about the camera) OneNote has done all that for a very long time.
I personally love tags, It makes it possible to skip using folders, instead you can implement a system (I use PARA) to organize your content without dragging and dropping, simply type # and your tag name, hit the space button and voila, you're done. Also scanned documents and text in pictures is searchable. Using apple notes for documentation archive is awesome!
Thanks so much for this video! I’ve been an Evernote user for a long time, and I’m thinking of switching to Apple Notes. Even though this video is a year old, it was helpful to see features of Apple Notes that I wasn’t aware of. I’d love to see a comparison of Evernote and Apple Notes, or a video with reasons why someone may want to switch.
I'm thinking now that I will replace Evernote with Notes, thank you for this video! I have used Keep, but never really felt like I could fit it in to what I needed.
I never looked into Apple notes, just briefly using it for shopping list for example. You provided good inspiration for me to look deeper into notes and use it properly for my business, meetings and personal use, thanks.
@@dottotechare those bifocals that narrow or reading glasses? Asking because getting ready for cataract surgery…LOL Love the Apple Notes for songs and sermons.
Great features. It is interesting that there is lots of similarities between Google Keep and AppleNotes. I used to love Evernote only, but know I am using all three, depending on the note. For apple users I think the connectivity with IPAD, imac, iwatch etc iApple note is a winner. Question Steve, Why my applenote in my Iphone does not have the scan text feature, which is awesome ! Thank you,
Good presentation. I have used apple notes since it’s inception. One thing that would be helpful especially for especially medical stuff is an integrated fax app.
Wow! Thanks- I have been using an iPhone since they came out and never new this stuff- today was the first time I used notes, tried the scan to txt in notes for my medication. Huge thanks!!
Hi. I like Notes. Use it a lot. Used to use Evernote but now Notes provides me with all I need for my work. Quick syncing across all my Apple devices, locked files, scanning docs, create quick notes in MCB hot corner and of course Siri.
Great stuff. I was on the fence about jumping into Notion. Apple Notes will cover everything I need and more. Thanks for the clear overview and lack of coffee-making b-roll.
I've tried a few others but Apple Notes is simply the best and if course it is free too. The integration is amazing but I learnt some more here too! PS apples ability to grab text off photos now too kind of blows my mind! A game changer too
Thanks for the video. I personally use Apple devices such as phones and iPads but not their computers. This is where Apple Notes falls down in that the web app is terrible. For example you cannot paste images into the web application so for that reason I have to use Google Keep for image capture on my PC.
A little late to the party, but after being a long time user of Evernote, I use Apple Notes exclusively. Thanks for pointing out the options for adding text, images and using the Apple pen...so cool!
Sounds interesting but I would hate being stuck in the Apple ecosystem. Apple is number one now, but I remember when other phones, like Palm Treo product lines and Centro. I copy and pasted all of my Palm Treo notes to my new BlackBerry.. Also, not to forget about the Blackberry. They were the most popular smart phone of all at the time. I used their built in Notes app. It worked very well and I had hundreds of notes back then. Also just to mention, BlackBerry had excellent wireless backup and sync. BUT as early as 2010-2011…. somewhere around then, I got the touchscreen bug, like most everyone else. I opted for an Android. The problem was All of my notes were stuck in the Blackberry ecosystem. The only way I could think of to get my notes out, was to painstakingly copy and paste out all of my notes into Google Documents. About a year after that, I was missing a BlackBerry again. New problem, was also an old problem. Now my notes were stuck in the Google ecosystem. I finally turned to Evernote, around 2012. It was cross platform, on BB, Android, and iPhone. I painstakingly copied my notes into Evernote then. Ever since then, I have owned more BB, countless Android phones, and a couple of iphones. My notes are always with me now, no matter which phone line I choose. I'm sure Apple notes is excellent, but I just don't want to be trapped again. Good luck to you all, no matter which app you choose. I love Steve's videos. That's why I'm here.
So the quick notes that I can pull up while on my iPad is great !! Being on a page and then I’m able to capture that link and quickly copy and paste or jot some quick notes …love this feature 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for showing me the power of this elegant app. Question: what's the best way of transferring notes from Evernote to Apple Notes? Can I do this in bulk?
I use notes to scan documents and store them safely. I can scan text from a document and keep it for future use. My wallet stores cards for use with Apple Pay. No need to carry cards. Apple Notes is POWERFUL!
The Three things that keep me in the Apple Ecco system are iMessage, Airdrop and Apple Messages. Apple Messages being the main reason. I use these features all of the time. Making a note with Siri on the fly wherever I am is so convenient and quite accurate. Scanning is so useful too. I use it probably more than anything else in notes. I also have found that using tags more and more is a good way to keep track and to search as you mentioned. Tags become more helpful the more notes you have. Locking notes is a great feature especially when you need it. Great video!
I’m using Notes more and more. When preparing Bible studies in Spanish available only in the English language, I simply scan or copy, then proceed to use Google translate unto the Spanish language. I have to proofread the translation since sometimes it doesn’t quite translate it properly. It saves me tons of time. I use the Spanish version of the Bible on specific Biblical texts since Google Translate is not set up for this specific task. Thank you for sharing your info. ☕️☕️👍
@@uwekonnigsstaddt524 I’m curious to know if you have tried Apple’s translate app, especially since they have improved it significantly in the latest iOS? What an excellent use of Apple Notes for Bible study translation by the way!🙏
I will expand my use of Apple Notes after watching your presentation. Thanks. The one frustration I have with Notes is that too many times I search for a particular note and Notes only shows me the top line and /or any option to create a new note seems to be frozen. The online recommendation is to reboot the phone, but when you are needing the information NOW it is a big pain to have to reboot the phone. I.e you are in store and you need to share an address or some instructional information that you stored in Notes. Hopefully Apple will create a fix.

Another great integration is between Notes and Reminder. Highlight any text in a noter, chose Share, select Reminder and add tags, dates etc to the reminder. I use that to add and share our dinner plan with the Today filter so I know whats on the menu today - simple but effective 😅
I think I’ll try to use notes with reminder, Thank you,
I always thought Reminders should be integrated in notes directly. They're too separated

Also YES I LOVE being able to lock my notes. But I've only been with the apple system less than a year so I'm still learning a LOT.
I use Reminders daily and it’s great and as a result has made me more productive
I also use reminders for shopping for groceries. You can create an entire list of every grocery item you buy over time and mark them all as completed. Then when you need something you just open the list, click the item needed again and it immediately moves to the top of the list which can then be checked off when you pick it up.

Would love to see a comparison between Google keep and notes. Thanks for all you do!
One “feature” of Notes that I use is its ability to strip formatting, when copy and pasting. If you copy formatted text from a website and wish to paste it into an email, by first pasting it into Notes and re-copying it, the original formatting is removed.
Like a text editor. I think most note-taking apps (most do markdown/raw text) will do this.
@@t0dd000 yep. I often just type out a text in Messenger then cut, too.
Ty

I have been a heavy Evernote user for many years, but have recently begun running a duplicate set of notes (yes, I am a touch OCD!) in Apple notes because it saves notes in a more universal format, making them easy to share. They are quickly becoming my future.
How are you doing it? I need to Fo it, too. Have notes in EN going back 12 years. Concerned about new changes. Thank you.
Yes, others can sync, but not so well as Apple does it.
you are making MUCH MORE ASSURED , my decision of which app to concentrate on and learn to do all with just one notes app! thanks
I tried singing a verse and Siri laughed at me. Just kidding but if Siri could laugh she would. Lol

I copied universal method of hashtag and put # symbol near all my personal keywords for fun. Turned out being awsome hack lol.
Great idea. It’s basically using a key word for searches, but a friendlier look.
Tags with emoji is cool idea
I tried this approach and found that it’s hard to select emoji tag on iPhone, it suggests only three latest and select other almost impossible
@@Andrew-7324 Hi. I wonder why this is happening to you. I admit I usually do my notes on my iPad so I had to get my phone out and see if it happened to me as well. I tried 3 different things on my phone:
First, I tried adding an emoji to a note title.
Yes,would like comparison between Keep and Apple Notes
Thank you, I plan on using notes much more after seeing your youtube vid... could you recomend a pdf editor ? how would I take a note into pdf document form for sharing with non apple users?
i love the ability to lockdown my notes. I just discovered the feature and will now start using it once again.
I've used dozens of different note taking apps, and I keep coming back to Apple Notes for multiple reasons.
As an Apple user I have never found the need to use any other note taking app. I love the synchronization between the different devices. It's only gotten better with each iOS or macOS upgrade.
I had mega issues on mobile, especially with offline usage. I'm not sure if it's improved in the last year but it was totally hopeless for me
I have not used a note system to date.
I switched from Evernote to Apple Notes when I moved into the iOS ecosystem. I simply adore the password protect feature!!
I totally agree.
Thanks!
👆Thanks for helping me get back my disabled account back 👆👆👆👆👆
Steve, the wondrous (at times!) algorithms brought your video into my view. This is excellent work. I like your thoroughness and clarity of communication. I'll be sharing this widely and have just subscribed to your channel. Keep up the great work! Joe (Dundee, Scotland)
Thank you for the useful review!
I choose to use Notes as the main app.
Most powerful features:
Weaknesses:
1. Simplicity too ;) I need some more editor instruments (color pallets, link organizer, etc.)
2. Synchronization - maybe this is personal, but my iPhone XR and iPad 2022 don’t synchronize properly from time to time.
3. Unity with Reminders and Calendar - it will be a lot useful, like we have in Google (Gmail / Keep / Calendar / To-Do)
Eventually, Notes is a powerful personal productivity tool.
I would like to see a video comparing Google Keep and Apple Notes. Thanks for the video.
Noted!
I only recently started to really use Apple Notes, and it has been a game changer. Yet, you introduced me to some new ways to use it. Thank you!
You know, you prove to be very useful very often!
Thanks

From a subscriber: This is a really outstanding video (of course it got a "Like") with super clear and highly practical information. You made me aware of how many exceptionally helpful features Apple Notes actually has. I intend to make much more use of this software in the future. Many thanks!
I never used the Note app but you have created a desire to start using it so I will probably have to re-watch this several times. Thank you
Great video!
PARA?

Thanks for the video. I personally use Apple devices such as phones and iPads but not their computers. This is where Apple Notes falls down in that the web app is terrible. For example you cannot paste images into the web application so for that reason I have to use Google Keep for image capture on my PC.
Learned a lot from your video.
Thank you! Apple Notes "scan text" feature! Right in front of me, and I never saw or used it! Thank you for raising awareness to this great feature!
This is amazing! I just love Apple products and the way you explain things. Thank you! 🙌
So the quick notes that I can pull up while on my iPad is great !! Being on a page and then I’m able to capture that link and quickly copy and paste or jot some quick notes …love this feature 🥰🥰🥰
You did a phenomenal job. I never knew any of this information and will be using this app every day. Thanks so much!😊
Thank you for showing me the power of this elegant app. Question: what's the best way of transferring notes from Evernote to Apple Notes? Can I do this in bulk?
Thank you. The scanning function is excellent, and free!
I really your idea of sharing your fishing plans. That’ll also work very well for metal detecting. I’m going to have to give it a try.
Excellent training!
Doing a comparison between Notes and Keep would be great!
I use notes to scan documents and store them safely. I can scan text from a document and keep it for future use.
My wallet stores cards for use with Apple Pay. No need to carry cards. Apple Notes is POWERFUL!
I think a comparison between keep & apple notes would be great. I dabble in both but can't decide which to stick with.
