  • Was always told that getting a bit heavier especially in the legs would hinder my gymnastics, all it’s done is improve my explosiveness and strength in my legs, it’s a ton of fun, and I can’t wait to continue this journey indefinitely!

    Your snatch progressed insanely fast compared to your other lifts (most likely due to upper body strength and mobility from gymnastics). On the other hand I think that sticking point in the clean as you front squat the bar up is the main thing that's holding you back there. Maybe sneaking in a "double bounce" at the bottom to pick up a bit more momentum might help squeeze out an extra 5kg

    I hardly comment on any videos but this was incredible. All in a year too! I didn’t see some of this type of improvement until like 3-4 years in CrossFit let alone 1 year! Amazing work

    PD: I don't comment in English because I'm terrible at writing in your language XD

    wow very motivating bro, but how did you know how to train ? is it from youtube ? did you got any injuries from this ? because i think its pretty dangerous especially the jerk and snatch i wanted to try weight lifting but all i do is try to clean and powerjerk sometime only, normally i do powerlifting and weighted calisthenics for about a year now

    I would like to ask a question, I am currently learning how to do olympic weightlifting. I need to set a goal for my self improvement award (school stuff), I have 6 months to acomplish my goal and i need to make it challenging yet doable. I have been working out for 2 years, My numbers to consider: weight 85 kg, Best Squat: 140kg/308lb for 3 reps lowbar, Deadlift: 180kg for 1 (could be more, but i dont like deadlifting). My weakpoint is my mobility, the ankle is the worst and a strong point is my love for squating be it high bar or low bar. What numbers should I aim for snatch, clean and jerk? Please help, i already paid the entry fee.

    Did the power and control transfer over into your other atheletic activities? You mentioned gymnastics. You certainly have much more explosive power and forceful control by the end of this year!

    so how often do you lift weights like that, per month?

    • @davidblattgym
      @davidblattgym  Год назад +1

      So this was actually a couple of years ago. Today I lift 8 session per week, so so it 35 per month.

      @@davidblattgym Thanks for the answer, interesting! Time will tell for how long (which age) you'll be able to keep this immense workload up. I do believe in decline due to age (and life circumstances). Good luck with maintaining the top level!

    Nice. But you’ll progress a lot better in an actual WL gym and with a WL coach, not CrossFit. Not sure why you’re doing those deadlifts with an over/under grip. No proper WL coach would ever have you do that. Everything in Olympic lifting is double overhand, either with hook grip or straps..

  • @user-br3hw1us7k

    Omg dude, work on technic because you have all possible mistakes such as kneels too far ahead when you make squats or your back is not enough straight and you are trying to lift weight by your back instead your legs. It is very dangerous until you young you won't see the issues but after 30-40 years many problems will come .
