Zack, when someone has a genuine passion for something, people can see that, they feel it. You don't have to have a gimmick, you don't have to be funny, or insanely strong, it's when you show people what you love because you love it that others gravitate towards your content. You got me into weightlifting. I started lifting as a skinny tall kid trying to bulk up a little, but I found bodybuilding incredibly boring. Your videos made lifting fun again, it became challenging in the best way possible. You also made it more accessible through your simple and direct explanations. So to that, I say thank you!
"We are what we repeatedly do, Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit" - Will Durant. Thanks for all the content over the years and for making all of us better weightlifters. Keep doing what you're doing
Congratulations man, I started following you at around 20k followers, and was immediately astonished by high-quality content, tutorials and memes you produce. Your channel is one of my main learning sources during the early days, and also inspired me to go on and pursue to cover Team China. Keep up the good work
I'm sure I can speak for most people when I say when we see your progression in numbers, technique and to see you flat out scream when hitting new PR's, it motivates the hell out of us to strive for more.
"No excuses, just improve" has to be one of the most empowering mantras ever. There are no outside factors holding you back. It's just you and your own journey to self-betterment, whatever that may mean for you
Through Zack's videos and journey I've learnt to trust the process of diligent training when I returned to weightlifting last year. Thank you Zack! PS. There's was no chance of me not improving my 8rm back squat by 5kg third week in a row. Sometimes we just need that little push even though we think we don't. Under promise, over deliver - I think that is essential for long-time progress, those small victories every week, every month.
Mommy I'm scared, there's a girrafe that won't stop screaming... But seriously congratulations Zack, you're such an inspiration. You're the one that nudged me to start adding weightlifting movements to my program. Glad to see you improving in a lot of aspects (training, yt channel, coaching) Cheers to the more progress to come!
how i found your channel: basically the entire fitness industry by BackGuy came up on my suggested, saw clarence in the video and watched clarence’s video by BackGuy, looked up clarence’s channel, discovered zacks channel, now i do olympic lifting because of you zack. bless your heart bro
Congrats on your success Zack, it's well deserved. You're the person who put me on to Olympic weightlifting and you've been fueling that passion with informative and technical content ever since.
I stumbled upon your channel doing a search on Overhead pressing. Since then while I don't train primarily in weightlifting (mostly powerlifting), I do enjoy watching your videos. Congrats to 100k!
my favorite part of this video is how intensely personal it is. some people might say "it's just weightlifting, it's just a barbell" but really, we can all see how much effort and time you put into this sport. to you, and so many others, this is more than a sport. it's a lifelong passion, and its shown perfectly at your excitement in every single new pr you hit, the energy you come with to the gym, and the willingness to keep going after years of failing. its fantastic, and there's nothing quite like it.
Congrats on 100k subs dude. So awesome. Been following along for a while and you’ve helped my lifting tremendously. You’re gonna keep growing and explode man 🤘🏻
I don’t do the weightlifting that Zack does...I do strongman, but Zack’s videos are always entertaining, and I always learn something. Whenever Zack posts a new video, I have to watch it, somehow. I’ll find a way. Not everyone posting videos on RUclips can say that. That’s your testament, Zack. People want to watch your videos.
starting watching at "one easy progression to clean more weight." i was blown away by the quality of info as well as presentation. been following you ever since. congrats, zack
The emotion of that 137kg Snatch.... In normal trainers... No sleeves etc....Actually made me drop a tear. That's what progression and Sport is about! Bigup Yaself Zach.
Honestly one of the coolest things to see outside the progression of your numbers is the growth of your own confidence and understanding of lifting. Your approach, start and finish of the lifts exude how far you've come. I've truly enjoyed watching your videos and following you. Looking forward to the time I get to share the stage with you.
You've earned it. By far the best weightlifting content out there. Complex and informative knowledge made easy to understand. You have no idea how many people's lives you've chanced making them fall love with this beautiful sport where people simply yeet a metal bar above their heads for fun.
Watching this on Oct 29th, 2020... I found your videos during quarantine, as well as Juji&Tom, Clarence; I have never felt so inspired to be better, to improve, to challenge myself... This video is just amazing Zack! Thanks for sharing your evolution, it shows me that it is possible and that I should keep pushing!!! Much love from Barcelona!
The only reason i ever went to the gym for the first time was because your videos convinced me i was capable of being a great weightlifter. I ended up not liking weightlifting but becuase of these videos i discovered powerlifting and in the 2 short years since then ive gone to out deadlift the state record and added 600+ lbs to my total and found something that i love to do for the sake of doing it, so, thank you.
This video is so motivating man. As someone who is way beneath your ability, I gotta say I’m really impressed by the improvement you made over the time frame. I was one of those people who had a strong squat in high school (squatting 405+ lbs sophomore year, but I couldn’t get 200 lbs on the bar for power cleans or bench press). I remember junior year doing 500 lb box squats, I knew I was physically able to add more weight but my coach wouldn’t allow it. I guess here I am reminiscing of 9-10 years ago. I’ve definitely regressed since then, but after watching your videos for a couple weeks now I’m intending on adding cleans and snatches to my workouts in the near future. Thanks for the amazing content.
Dude!! It's so good to see your channel doing so well! I've been on a 2.5 year hiatus from working out, and just recently got back into it. I definitely remember seeing your videos early on (the max strength videos when you had maybe 100-200 subs) I come back and now you're at 100K??? WHAT?. I always liked how you explained things in your videos-- made it very easy to understand. Anyways, congrats!
YES this is shit is so inspiring congrats my dude on 100k. Dude I don't even do Olympic weightlifting but I watch all of your videos because I'm curious about the sport. You provide information in a thoughtful and logical manner, and your methodology and thought process in training I believe carries over to anything else we would want to train for. I love the motto you always end on and it really helps reinvigorate my workouts. Thanks for the quality content and keep it up bro!
Just started following you a few months ago, so seeing this progression was really cool! I love how genuinely excited you were hitting 185# back in the day - which seems like something I figured you snatched out of the womb just seeing recent videos 😂 Great job man, and great content! Keep it up!
You're nice, down to earth and your content has no bullshit. Learned a lot here, especially about relative intensity and just general training philosophy.
I'm new to the channel but I gotta say your progression in just a short amount of time is seriously impressive, definitely earned a new subscriber man, keep it up!
No, Zack, thanks to you, always striving for bringing us the best weightlifting content possible. Thank you for getting me started in this sport. Thank you for showing me that it is possible to get better, slowly, step by step, but constantly. No excuses, just improve. For many more years!!
I gotta say man, just from looking at your frame and height you're not at all what I'd expect an Olympic lifter to look like. But I think you are a great example of how hard work and dedication can trump physical limitations or expectations of what athletes "must be" in relation to their sport. I think a lot of people use the genetics excuse to not train properly or explain away their weaknesses. You're always humble and don't spray BS everywhere like so many other fitness channels on youtube. Keep up the good work.
You're fun and entertaining. A person who is easy to like, and we like to watch videos of people we like. So it's your doing Sir. Very good job, anmd well deserved. I will keep watching, and I am starting weightlifting becasue of yours and Clarences videos :)
I don't usually go out of my way to comment because I generally see it as a waste of time but this occasion calls for it. Thank you Zack, honestly from the bottom of my heart your content has gotten me through some rough times and always put a smile on my face by lifting some heavy shit or having something interesting to talk about. Personally I dont even do the Olympic lifts but even for me I found some of your insight to be helpful for my power lifting. Overall I just see you as a great lifter, person, and role model and I can't wait to see whats to come in the future!
Really inspiring. From crappy lifts to good form and stronger than Mat Fraser. This motivated me that much, that I hit an awesome Back Squat Session afterwards. Thank you and keep on!
Watching this video gave me so much hope for myself. Thank you for representing giraffe bitches well. And thank you for expressing the honesty of hard work.
Hey Zack, I know you probably won’t see this and if you do you probably won’t really care.. but I just wanted to thank you for the amazing content and getting me interested in weightlifting, you’ve really been a great guide and inspiration for me. Congrats on 100,000 my friend :)))
Congrats Telly. It’s the fact that you are a genuine person. You care about the sport and the people who practice it and we appreciate you for it man. Thanks to you and your content, I was inspired at 29 to actually seek out a coach and start taking training seriously and get on with my own journey. I owe you a lot more than you know.
I love how you see a natural progression of young man becoming a mature lifter and fella in general. Improving and becoming better every lift, v humbling
Zack, Thank you for sharing this journey. It inspires me in my own journey of excellence. While weightlifting is not my pursuit and passion (my passion is marksmanship), your determination is an example of the indominable spirit of man. You are succeeding not only physically but also in your purpose of democratizing the knowledge of weightlifting. Keep improving brother.
Wow, what a great video! If you had just shown me numbers from 7 years ago and told me how much better you had gotten it probably would seem like 7 years is a lot of time, but watching the jumps you made it seems like you really improved a lot in "a short time" Thanks for sharing!
“Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the single candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.” Thank you for this

I know I speak for a lot when I say you inspire many of us to take weightlifting more seriously and use your videos as one of the best sources out there for in depth explanations on all things weightlifting.
It was awesome meeting you this weekend dude! You videos are part of what got me into weightlifting and it's been one hell of a ride ever since. Congrats on 100k!
Awesome video. I do Oly lifting in my training, as opposed to training for Oly lifting, but I love watching this sport. So much drama in such a short about of time. I love the progression!
It has been so nice watching your journey throughout these years. Your videos are AMAZING, from how real they are to informative. Thank you, the channel will only grow faster now.
Found your channel by happenstance when I first tried out crossfit - decided it wasn't my cup of tea but the the olympic weightlifting aspect stuck with me, so here I am doing the journey by myself with you as my chaperon. I congratulate you on your success and I applaud you for your perseverance - now we're aiming for 200k!
I never cared about weightlifting until this channel showed me how complex and beautiful the sport is. Even if I'm not a weightlifter I still look forward to every video you make cause they're genuine and it's fun to see someone do something they obviously care so much about. Hope this channel grows exponentially cause you deserve it!!!
You just pumped me up to go workout, thanks for the RUclips tips and tricks over the years. You’ve taught me more about weightlifting than anyone I can remember in recent years. Congratulations man!
Congrats man, you deserve it! Thanks so much for everything you put out for all of us to enjoy and learn from. You have helped me more then you can know. I'm stoked for your seminar in portland Maine at the end of this month!
Keep coming back to this for motivation. Your journey is impressive!! Love the passion and drive coming off of you. I hope to one day make such progress.
This has inspired to keep me going so much. Watched all your videos and only just started my Weightlifting journey, currently 85/120. Hopefully after the same amount of time I’ll have made the same progress 🤞
Well deserved man. As a tall (though slightly less of a giraffe) guy, you convinced me to go find a weightlifting coach and to get started, and I’m loving it and already moving. Thank you for this channel and all the help.
I’ve recently got into Olympic lifts, literally just two weeks ago. My clean and jerk form has gotten so much better than when I first began but it’s still really difficult to get used to. I’m 23 and I’ve been power lifting with variations of body building exercises for many years now so trying to perform these compound explosive movements in succession of one another is like telling my child that I’m his mother. It doesn’t make sense. But I am having a damn blast doing it though! The lifts, not telling my kid that I’m his mother. Your videos have helped a lot, so thank you! It’s inspiring to see you progress through the years.
this is one of the most touching videos ive ever watched on youtube! have been watching your channel for .... 4 years?! ive never PRed hahah technique is ovbiously a million times better from when i started but i have only lost muscle since switch from power to Oly hahaha anyway, this made me smile so much dude. keep it goin :)
Congrats on 100k. Your cleans always like such a fight.. but you get under the snatch so damn fast it's insane. (nothing negative meant.. moreso just impressed with how fast the bar moves on your snatch)
Zack I've been watching you for a long time now and I just want to say thanks for all of the free advice and enjoyable content that we all very much appreciate. It has helped me a lot to progress as a weightlifter to watch your videos and take some advice from every one of them. I would also like to congratulate you on all of your accomplishments in the past few years. that 400lbs c&j coming up really soon I can feel it.
I credit my start to weightlifting to you, Tellie boi. Thank you so much for all that you do for the weightlifting community. Hope to catch you sometime during some Opens, until then KEEP VIBING
Dude I can surely say that we thank you more for the quality videos from day 1. Keep doing that Zack, I wish you success, health and gainzzzz. Big love
This video actually gives me hope for achieving good numbers. I’m still somewhat a beginner but seeing you put the work during those years and becoming strong af makes me believe that I can do that too. Thank you, zack. You inspire.
See you almost crying with joy at some lifts ( and me cheering at the same time in front of my screen) , seeing the progress ( man u were so skinny :D) and the consistency , the improvement in technique ( the last snatch is insanely good) makes this 14 min very inspirational! Good luck with next 7 years

pls come back clarence

Where are you? Hiding under your cloak of invisibility?

This progression seems “unnatural”
Nice work, dude!
To me it seems "untamed".
if you wanna train untamed then you gotta enhance your performance amirite
How is that unnatural? If you train hard you improve

My favorite lift out of all of them is that snatch @8:28. That calmness, the music, everything about it makes the gym feels like a battlefield.

I just trained before watching this….i want to go back in the gym NOW!!!!! Great stuff!!!
this is one of the most touching videos ive ever watched on youtube! have been watching your channel for .... 4 years?! ive never PRed hahah technique is ovbiously a million times better from when i started but i have only lost muscle since switch from power to Oly hahaha anyway, this made me smile so much dude. keep it goin :)
*I love you Tellie!*
You’re an inspiration man, keep up the hard work
Congrats on 100k.
Fucking Amazing

This video actually gives me hope for achieving good numbers. I’m still somewhat a beginner but seeing you put the work during those years and becoming strong af makes me believe that I can do that too. Thank you, zack. You inspire.
Let this video, and this channel, serve and a enduring testament to the strength and train-ability of your average giraffe.
Great job, Zach.
See you almost crying with joy at some lifts ( and me cheering at the same time in front of my screen)
, seeing the progress ( man u were so skinny :D) and the consistency , the improvement in technique ( the last snatch is insanely good) makes this 14 min very inspirational!
Good luck with next 7 years
