Just started Olympic lifting at 55! I know I've left it a bit late, but his video gives me inspiration ! I'm at the weights that you were at the start, but I'm ok with that, I know I'll improve as I stick at it, It's not easy and I don't want it to be, I want to feel like it's something to achieve, to put the work in and to be proud of myself after every PB. Thanks for the videos and stay injury free!

But I've been reluctant to go all-in on it. 5 minutes into this video and I tell myself, "F it, I'm getting those weightlifting shoes." I came here from getting recommended your 1 year progress video. I've been out of the weightlifting loop since 2017 and am just getting back into it. Forgive my ignorance in my commenting on your last video lol.
It's amazing how quickly you were able to come back after a 1 year injury recovery! I'm just coming back off a 3-year hiatus and am actually surprised at how little I've lost-- I'm still ~90% of where I used to be (though granted, I was never near your level of lifting). Best of luck to you! Looking forward to seeing you on that world stage!

@@NateCerwinske Wow, that's really impressive editing! And a few weeks makes total sense-- I don't think most people realize how involved video editing is. I'm at about an hour a minute for just simple workout vlogs, I can't imagine with all those effects and stuff! In a decade or so when you retire from weightlifting as an accomplished Olympian you should get a job at USAW editing their promo videos or something!

Ever considered the 'hand move' approach, where you do a sumo with hands inside the knees at the start, then the weight comes up and you 'bump it, then as it's coming up to your shoulders in the squat-down, you move your hands outward for the press? Saw a chinese lady in the olympics doing that, and the idea stuck with me.

One week before I thought I wanna be powerlifter , now I see you full video I learn a lot, and I tried snatch yester day 30kg on my own no coaching but RUclips videos helped me,30kg 😂 but it gone well and everyone looked at me what the hell is he doing ✌️not because my forme reason was nowbody know powerlifting in my gym, my gym was too small like twenty feet room(20ft long box), my English not good because I am in Sri Lanka and I know 4 languages so no shame ,my gym cost like 2dollars for month it's worth for it (there is expensive gyms but I am not afford it I am just poor ), u inspired me to film my lifts😉 also to newer given up . And I am doing body building for year ther is lot of problems but now I can DL 110kg for 5reps💪
