- Hi guys, my name is Nate and I am a 21-year-old competitive Olympic Weightlifter out of AZ. I had a few videos blow up on the channel of training in commercial gyms which you guys seem to love. So for spring break my friends and I took a trip out to LA to visit Bradley Martyn's ZOO Culture and film part 3 there! Hope you guys enjoy it!

Having mobility issues, its always a breath of fresh air watching these vids. Took a long time for me to realise how dope Olympic weightlifting actually is. Kinda glad I discovered it while getting into Crossfit. Keep up the content bro! Watching all the way from New Zealand 🇳🇿🏋️

Just tried Olympic weightlifting today for the first time.I’m doing low weight to try and get my form right but I think I might start doing this often.

The combination of speed, flexibility, power and precision is never a weakness. Regardless of the weight on the bar, the movements are good. I will always warm up with snatches and power cleans when I can despite what the work is that day.
I don’t get to do it as often as I’d like because I train out of my garage and have a family at home, but weightlifting in commercial gyms is one of my favorite pastimes. You’re inspiring me to unleash my inner troll. Thank you for this ❤

In the past 7 days of "weighlifting on youtube" (admittedly, not a very big space), we've had Sonny & Clarence (not Cher) "going hard in a commercial gym in Belfast", Giraffe Telander training with Kate (not Bill) Nye, and this guy putting up a heavy snatch and C&J at Bradley's LA influencer juice-house. . . now ya gotta know which one of these rose to the top!
Good stuff Nate, making the ordinary entertaining as ffff (as if 135+175 at 81 in every-day training is "ordinary"). I've seen some interesting folks do some interesting snatch-balance like things at Zoo Culture (I think Wheels like snatch push-pressed ~225k and Bradley did a 315 OHS on a hover board or with some female influencers hanging off the bar ends or something like that) but, as they say, "one of these three things is not like the others". . . and I think your viewers can appreciate that (and the humor of doing real lifting in this weird LA environment as well).

You’re strong AH bro, few things I noticed as a former lifter:
1. When you snatch, you tend to jump backwards (a bit). When you split make sure you do it only to the sides, never backwards. I think had you done that you would cement that 143.
2. My former coach (a Soviet national team coach), would never have us do max snatch & CJs in the same day.

One thing I've noticed over the years is that the actually strong people in the gym wear the baggy t shirts while the pretty boy lifters wear all the gymshark bullspit - nice video!

I recently found your content and am actually really intrigued. I’m curious to know your opinion on doing Olympic style lifts with kettlebells if barbells aren’t accessible?
In that sense I think it can be a great workout for conditioning, but probably not effective for pure strength conditioning !

Nice to see someone using a weightlifting belt for the correct reason .. too many times I’ve seen guys at the gym with it on and doing bench press and biceps curls

I mean, there's nothing wrong with using it for bench press. It helps maximize intra-abdominal pressure, which should theoretically help you stay tight during bench. Personally, I've never noticed much of a difference, but there's a lot of people who are much stronger than you or me who use a belt to bench press.
