      @chinnjk 2 года назад +1

      @no name game I've been looking into the case more deeply. First, you don't need to be an ass to people online because you have a different opinion. It's good to have discussions. If what he is saying is true, again, I don't think he should be charged with murder. It seems like he has the mentality to be a hero. If that's the case, I do feel sorry for him & his family. However, it was still less than smart for him to get involved in this riot in the middle of it. He is not a professional, & he brought a rifle to a riot. It's recklass. He should be charged for illegally having that firearm, but as for the shooting, it was self defense. Pretty gross of those men to attack a minor like that. The judge seems good so I'm sure the best decision will be made. I hope anyway.

      You can't blame him. That's probably what he has been doing from the start of his career. That's what a lot of prosecutors do. I watched the entire prosecution questioning for several hours, and he failed to give any convincing argument for the entire interrogation. In fact, he did a disservice by pointing out the Rittenhouse did community service as a fire fighting cadet, worked hard for a job, and that he served his community. On the latter, Binger mistakenly questioned Rittenhouse on his reference to 'the community' by pointing out that he doesn't even live there - only to be rebuked by Rittenhouse when he asserted that his father actually lived in Kenosha (the community). Binger obviously did not do his homework.

    • @GenSphinx

      Through out the entire trial Binger looked like he didn't do any homework what so ever and was expecting an easy win. Probably was hoping that all the threats to the jury and the town would scare people into line to convict. Good thing the jury had some morals unlike him.

      In the moment, it was a little fuzzy as to who did what, I'm sure... but as far as cases that MADE IT TO COURT... Rittenhouse's case was the most perfect unassailable exercise of deadly force I've ever seen. Kyle Rittenhouse could run the same scenario 1000 times and never execute as perfectly as he did.
      But of course, I think that's the point. If they can't move the overton window by making juries rule against those middle-cases, they'll just move the overton window by PROSECUTING the most obvious cases they can find.

      He managed to convince himself that that focus of the matter was "It's weird that you're only telling your side now, and conveniently matches what has been shown to you"
      While hoping and praying no one pays attention to the fact that, No matter how 'convenient' it may be/seem, it doesn't matter. It's Kyle's right to stay silent until HE decides to.
      So with Binger bringing it up under the RAZOR thin line of '''possible cherry picking of details, with a lack of foundation to compare''', he managed to skirt past a blatant constitutional rights violation.

    I had to stop watching the cross by the prosecuting attorney because he was badgering or asking irrelevant questions OVER AND OVER. This clip is the first time the judge stopped the cross, but he had to admonish him again at least a couple more times. I think this is the plan to get a mistrial - because the defense attorney is not objecting much, either. Was this young man in the wrong place at the wrong time with a gun? Yes. But IMO he was defending himself, and that is that.

Pointing out the defendant remains silent isn't a proof of guilt. It's a Constitutional right! They lied and broke laws throughout this case, including interfering with the police investigation to prevent them from serving a search warrant for Grosskreutz's phone. Binger lied in his opening statement claiming that Rittenhouse chased Rosenbaum and shot him in the back. He broke the law of discovery by hiding enhanced video from the defense, then lied to the jury by telling them that a pixel on the wrong side of Rittenhouse for him to have been aiming a gun there was Rittenhouse pointing his gun (it was actually the mirror from a vehicle). He also tried to use Rittenhouse's use of the 5th amendment against him in court.
