    The cost of a 20oz skinny tumbler on Printify is $17.34 with Printify premium and the shipping cost is $7.79, for a cost of $25.13. Add in the cost of personalizing the item and13% advertising and the actual cost of the item is around $28.00. This store lists the price of this item as $30.00 each but is currently selling them at a 50% off sale, around $15.00. How are you able to make a profit of $5.00 each?
    BTW 100 bandanas per month is 1200 units/year, not 10,000.

    This is such an informative video, I will be taking notes as I go along with your journey. I learned a lot about how you do the product research and see if it's profitable to sell using POD. One thing I'm struggling with is the shipping cost - with shipping, no shipping or $35+ free shipping. I use 3 different print providers on printify and offer free shipping on $35+ orders. If they buy a product fulfilled by 3 different print providers, I'll lose money (since they will all be shipped separately). I would love to understand more on how to set shipping costs.
    Also, I'm struggling with custom orders, I only did 3 of them and already, I'm not looking forward to doing anymore because of the hassle, like when I message a buyer with a question to clarify, they don't respond and I had to send it as is. I'm looking forward to see what you do with you need clarification from a buyer on a custom order and they don't respond?
    Thank you so much for this video! 😃😄

    Appreciate the training. What most people do not inform on is the fact that you must upfront the money pay for product to be made and delivered. This means you need a credit card up front. Your store will only grow/scale on the financial ability you have to afford ip front costs for production and shipping, all fees associated with Etsy, creative platform fees, and advertising costs. And, advertising sales. I hope you will be touching in this as well in a future module.

    • @HelloCustom

      What upfront cost ? By time the credit card statement is due , Etsy already paid you almost the entire bill. As long as you have a good credit limit.

    • @ChelseaRafferty
      @ChelseaRafferty Год назад

      @@Chad-Tyrone-Pookey the upfront cost is when a buyer on Etsy buys your product, Printify or other POD providers "charge" you for that item/shipping costs (before you've gotten paid from Etsy). Best way around that from what I can see is just having daily deposits so your upfront cost is a bit less.

    • @Chad-Tyrone-Pookey
      @Chad-Tyrone-Pookey Год назад

      @@ChelseaRafferty The deposits are weekly, which means by the time credit card bill is due next month , Etsy already paid you 4 times for the past 4 weeks, which is enough money to cover Printify, the 20 cents for each listing, ads(if you’re running any). Everything rolls smoothly from this month to the next, and unless you are using a debit card, you don’t front anything. Hope this helps.

The ideal amount of sales is 10,000/ year, but when you look at the store selling bandanas their sales don't add up to 10,000, it seemed like they won't even hit 2,000 by the end of the year. Thank you for the videos... Quick question, when you were going through the monthly sales (use the bandanas as the example,) it looked like the top seller was 44 sales. Are you looking at just the top product or the top handful of products? Also, you mentioned that it looks like they were selling 100 units per month which you also mentioned would come out to 10,000 per year. Am I doing the math wrong or calculating the wrong information? I am calculating 100 units per month time 12 months which gives me only 1,200 units per year. I am 8,800 off.
    Thanks for any clarification.

    Great info. Looking forward to the 3rd podcast/lesson. I didn’t see anything about the Etsy settings for the set up…shop policies, logo, banner, returns, etc. Do you offer any help with those set ups? I didn’t see anything about that in lesson 1 + 2. Thanks.

    Secondly, should we worry about the search results that a given product has? Cos some of the products had over a hundred thousand search results. How do we get found as a newbie with that much competition. Thanks 😊

    I’m really excited about this - I tried following along with everything you were doing and my costs are a lot higher than yours at the moment. I see if I join printify premium I can get some lower costs but right now I don’t have that. Also Jesse’s price on tumblers can’t be beat. So if he accepts my application, that’ll be the only way I can sell tumblers at that price point. So I can see I’m going to have a few more obstacles right out the gate. I’m going to try and look for some products I can be profitable with… :) this is great so far, thank you for doing this!!

    Love your videos! Really helpful and gives information not usually exposed without taking a pricey class. I do want to say though that you used the Printify costs if you are a premium member. Not being able to afford that right now will affect the bottom line. You have Phone cases and Tumblers with different profits but the same sales and revenue?

    Thank you for the series of videos! There is so much value that I will definitely will apply. I found out that the print provider innercircleprints is not a regular print provider, they work only with Etsy sellers that want to scale their business to 6 figures. I am a new seller so I don't fit in their criteria.

    Thank you for making these videos! Great content and direction! Do you have any other recommendations for POD for tumblers? The tumblers are sites I have found are priced more then a lot of stores are selling a custom design for. What do you do in this instance? I know you are working with inner circle but when I applied they are full and not accepting new customers partners right now.

    great video,
    so far we need to purchase:
    -the growth plan from everbee(30/month)
    -printify premium (30/month)
    -innercircle (has an application and they decide whether or not you are in)
    is this correct?
    or de we just follow along with the 4 products you researched?
