    Why 95% of youtubers only show parameters for ultra perfect bright contents from youtube videos while 95% of people need parameters for netflix, disney and prime video content.

  • @phillydavison
    @phillydavison Год назад +27

    Few things I'd add.
    1. You can use Movie mode and adjust it for daytime use and have the Filmmaker mode for night - time use.
    2. The light sensor can be handy for some people who don't want to constantly switch the brightness setting or switch between filmmaker and movie modes, set brightness as high as you like then adjust the minimum value of the light sensor to what your happy with and the TV does the work.
    3. Setting blur and judder to 0 in motion clarity can help with stutter.
    4. Contrast can be brought down a little to help with clipping.
    5. There is a panel care settings page if your worried about burn in, pixel shift is a must if your using the TV with a PC and logo dimming can help too, lastly leave your TV in standby when you turn it off so it automatically does its mini pixel refresh cycle.

      Is it possible to set the ambient light on just for sdr so you don't have to switch it off everytime the tv displays hdr content?

    • @phillydavison
      @phillydavison 5 месяцев назад +1

      @DavideScali Yes you can do that. For my SDR daytime viewing I have movie mode brightness on full "50" and the ambient light set to 25 so according to how bright the room is on any given day the sensor will adjust the brightness to suit. It has zero affect on your HDR settings if you use the ambient light for SDR content. Turn the sensor on while you're watching SDR even just once to test it then leave it on and go watch some HDR content, check the setting while you're watching HDR and you will see it is off. Using the light sensor isn't for everyone, some prefer to use Movie mode for daytime viewing and FMM for nighttime viewing but I find it annoying having to change between the 2 each day.

    • @phillydavison
      @phillydavison 5 месяцев назад

      @saulm5632 Well he recommended to turn off the burn in protections which I disagree with, No mention of using the sensor to help avoid using daytime and nighttime picture mode switching nor the tip of leaving the TV in standby mode to allow pixel refreshes. Lowering contrast and setting motion clarity to 0 is pretty universally known on Samsung OLEDs so it was hardly copy n paste was it.

    Great settings video, as always. Might be worth adding that Contrast 45 clips red/green just above 235 white and causes tinting on near/above white patterns. 38 removes that tinting and allows red and green to track up to 108 white without hard clipping.

    I have a S95C and my connect box is still running after I turn my TV off. On standby: I can feel that it's still running (vibrates) & I can feel the heat on the connect box when I put my hand on it. It goes away after 10-15mins. Is this normal?

    i bought a samsung s95c 77 inch. I think the TV isn't bright enough! I come from a Q9FN 75 inches. last night we watched the new avatar on disney. Beautiful image but really too dark. even in a dark room! can someone help me what to do? I have tried several picture settings. I also notice that the TV is sometimes brighter than other times. It is much too dark even on standard mode brightnes 50, brightnes mode on high. can someone help?

    • @Brightlight22
      @Brightlight22 9 месяцев назад

      Hello
      Very similar situation to yourself, I was watching The Revenant on Disney and found some of the scenes very dark. Switched over to dynamic mode, omg what an improvement, the scenic views seemed more life like than the real thing. Only downside which I personally don't mind was that it looked as if it had been filmed in a studio and not as the Director had intended. Only recently got my tv so still playing around with the settings (this video certainly helps) , Ive also paired it with Samsung S930c sound system which really enhances your experience.

    People who recommend Filmmaker mode are color blind. Why would you buy an OLED TV if you want the colors to essentially be black and white?
