3D Stroke Style Trails and Liquid Deformations in After Effects | Logo Animation Tricks ep.2

If you use the latest version of After Effects, you don't need to use 3D Stroke. The 3D Stroke-like expression can be expressed through the'Taper' function added to the Stroke in the shape layer.

are there any setting in AE that could make script not work. I followed step by step and oscillation doesn't seem to happen. My only work around was to create nulls from path and then animate the position. But the effect doesn't look like CC smear.

May be animate the without smear all so may be path points animation

It's also an option. But CC Smear gives more natural results with less amount of controls and keyframes.
