Elizabeth Gonsalves well now they have to plan some kind of meet up sawn of the dead style, beau and keyleth pass by each other, followed by grog and fjord, and so on, til it gets to liam.... awkward
Imagine Keyleth being so excited she tells all of VM to get together asap for dinner. Imagine her sitting them all down, Vex would say something snarky, Grog would ask why there's no ale on the table yet, and Keyleth, sat at the head of the table would stand up and say she wants to introduce them to someone special, and Vilya walks out. Imagine the shock and elation they would all feel. Imagine them hearing Vilya's stories about Vo and the M9. @@danielstephens1185 I actually think that would still be a great ending scene for the vox machina series. Kind of like how season 1 ended with a spoiler for the next arc. But you could easily keep it vague enough, just Veth vaguely visible on the otherside of the portal. I think at this point we're pretty sure that Vox machina's story will finish in animated form, but we don't know about the MN.
This a reminder that while Sam is a goof and relentless troll, but there is more in there. Compare this with ‘Scanlin’s Last Wish’. Him opening the heart floodgates.
Something I just realized, Sam finished his shirt bit and had on the shirt he wore during the campaign one finale at the same time that the last Vox Machina character got her happy ending
And the once weird and clumsy druid became a powerful figure and a leader of her tribe, and Mighty Nein would look upon Keyleth like they look upon many other powerful mages, knowing nothing is impossible for someone that legendary.
Marisha, Ashley and Laura are like visibly trying to hold back emotions in the build up you can tell in their body language they be like “keep it together, keep it together, No Ugly crying!” Matt: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
The part where Matt says Kiki clasps her chest/heart then runs for Vilya ( I always hear her voice whispering mom as she clasps her heart, then yelling Mom! as she runs in my head).... always makes me cry
Halfway expected Matt to say at the end: "Marisha, if you would describe Keyleth's reaction." It was a really nice thing to do though I reeeeeally wished Veth would have asked about the names of Vilya's family.
Matt and Sam as Veth and Vilya, these two gave me chills, i love Veth, and i love Sam, he is very often the comedic relief, but when he wants, imo, brings the most heart felt moments
I love Dimension 20, but I always think of this scene when people say they don't like Critical Role and prefer D20's fast paced comedy. This kind of incredible, natural pathos is FLAWLESSLY curated by Matt in a way that no one else can do. This is his LANE, long form content, seeding growths to yield an incredible payoff. It's why I think you just can't compare D20 and CR, they're completely different shows trying to do different things entirely!
Just when we thought we'd have a farely non heart wrenching episode, Sam sets the scene for a tearful goodbye and epic reunion. Danm you Sam!!!! We love Veth
I got to this part on my bus ride home from work today and it was so hard keeping myself together. Watching this now so I can let the happy tears flow. THIS right here is why I love Crit role so much
