Do you feel it awkward to hold phone when unfolded? It is almost an inch taller than the 15 pro max. It definitely is not a 1 handed phone when unfolded as you cannot possibly reach the top corner with thumb.
Wow those Z flip 6 photos were actually really nice. This feels like how you should do a more "quality of life" oriented phone update: better hinge, better battery, better cameras, etc. that makes a real-life difference, even if there wasn't such a massive form factor change like from 4 to 5. I wish this is what the Z fold 6 got but nope

Thanks for the review! I've been an iphone user since 2014 but I wanted to change to the flip since the flip 3. Now I finally felt like it was time for a change and I just bought it 😁
I made the switch as well, but I just added another line so that I could keep my iphone, hoping that they make a flip model eventually but i've fallen in love with the Samsung UI. This phone has so many features.
The flip is great for minimalist who is trying to reduce screen time. Sadly that is not most people but hopefully it sticks around and doesn't go the way of the iPhone Mini.
It’s had 6 years of it being around lol. The mini lasted 3 years and the last one was just to see if the sales would continue to be low. The flips are here to stay tbh. They’ve been profitable enough I’d assume if they keep making them after over half a decade..
I left my iphone for the z-flip 4 bc of your video a couple years ago, and I have enjoyed each model upgrade since. I'm glad I trusted you! lol Everything else I have is apple but I was bored with the iphone.
While i loved the flip 5, i hated the canera. I couldnt zoom after 2x and not look so ugly. But the flip 6 looks amazing!! 😍 Great to see that it's a big upgrade in the camera...now they just need samsung dex.
Ella you're really my favorite tech reviewer. Really digging getting the flip now. Recently my pixel got broken and I think it's the ideal time to try Samsung again 😅. The only thing that kind is a deal breaker for me it's the abcense of dex on the flip. Maybe in the future.
Two years ago I got the Fold 4 as I really wanted to try it out, and I am a big fan of the big screen but maybe next time I upgrade, I'll try the Flip 6. I was just thinking of going back to the Ultra as I was a big fan of the Note series but we'll see. Thanks for the review Ella!
I think I blew it when it came to not taking advantage of the Flip 6 pre-sale trade in deals. Sounds like the Flip is finally what it should have been. I will have to wait until Samsung allows for better trade in deals.
Attempting to rephrase my comment: this phone seems so so close to perfect. Even with it missing out on what could have made it greater (both cover cameras upgraded and so on), it's wonderful enough for me to consider switching. Like if it turns out to be the most accessible phone for me, I'd be happy keeping it for as long as it lasts!
Loving the hack outta mine. Battery life, durability and photos were my biggest concerns after having a Z Flip 3, and this phone is an improvement in every area. Not a perfect phone, but pretty close for one that folds in half. The size and comfort of having such a small phone in my pocket definitively outweigh the small areas in where the S24 is better.
I've been wanting to get the z flip 6 when i have to give my iPhone back at the end of my contract. I said i was going to get it but scared to bite the bullet, this video helped me give the concrete answer that this is the phone i'm getting!

The galaxy ai is awesome. It's just one of those things that you have to experience and decide if you like it. The AI renders are super clean and amazing. Her experience was sub par, but there's some amazing creations
Coming from a Flip 4, this is a pretty big upgrade. The only existing technologies I’m missing are 120hz cover screen and 1TB storage. Looking forward to receiving mine :)

the green flip 6 is so tempting! it's so expensive though. love the review, my friend has a flip 4 or 5 and i was surprised by the bad camera cus i have the s22, but seeing the flip 6 camera is so good is yet another point in its favor for me
Honestly been tempted to switch back to a foldable after I switched from a Fold 3 to a bar phone and this vid def helped that temptation. The crease looks much better now compared to a Fold 3 and even then it wasn't that bad once ya got used to it.

More than one reviewer commented on the videos of the Flip 6 being soft; in fact one reviewer had to reshoot his review which he initially recorded on the Flip 6 but found the footage too soft to be usable. That's a major showstopper for me since I record videos on my home all tye time.
This year, I made a jump from Z flip 5 to Z Fold 6 actually. I love the form factor of flip 5 and how easy it is to vlog, but I couldn't stand the battery 😅 Maybe once it reaches 4400-4500, I'll go back to flip!

The camera improvements were great and a good step but pretty useless until third-party apps like Snapchat use it. No one really takes selfies with the native camera app. But again, it's a good step .

Definitely thinking about upgrading in December from my iPhone 14 but wondering if I should switch my s9 Apple Watch to a galaxy watch, I do have a small Apple ecosystem but Samsung is definitely winning me over with their galaxy tablets and new galaxy buds. Just not sure if this would get long term updates.
As a former flip 5 owner that couldn’t stick to the phone due to the poor cameras, the flip 5 photos look SOOO much better. The flip 5 photos were so overly sharpened and contrasty. They didn’t have the natural colors and smoothness that flip 6 photos have. Thank god Samsung finally updated the cameras. I really did like that phone otherwise
I used the Z Flip 2 for the last 4 years and loved it. Since my phone is only used 20% of my day meant that 80% of the time it was easily stored in my pocket unnoticed unlike my currect S24 which can and does slip out of my pockets. I don't always need a big screen but when I want it I have it. I know the crease is mentioned as something that you notice but really after a while you do not. It's because you become trained without thinking to shift the screen to change or remove the reflection that is making it visible. The crease on the Flip 2 was significantly worse. If my battery didn't die I would have waited for the Flip 6 but I was a 1.5 months short. I love the S24 and my wife loves using it for pictures. Her iPhone is not as good.
I think I'll still opt for the S24 because I want to use my phone during concerts and I think the S24 will give me much better pics and videos, especially zoomed in.
If you haven’t done it already, I’d love to see you do a comparison of this and the Motorola razer. I’m torn between the two, otherwise I’m waiting another year and a half minimum for Apple. Newer subscriber and loving your content so far. Thank you!

The Z Flip 6 looks so great but the reality is that there are A LOT of people saying how many problems they've had with the screen after having it for only a few weeks. Even if it weren't ridiculously expensive, who would buy a phone that has a high chance of breaking so quickly?
I was about to buy thr z flip 5, tho it was just second, this vid made me back out since z flip 6 has so much of an upgrade. Samsung did very well for their flips huhuhu. I hope I'll get one someday.

I bought flip5 anyways. I considered 6 first with all the charger case and other gifts but it didn't seemed to be worth it anyways. Battery improvement for 300mah doesnt seem enough to use it without worrying. Camera is not important for me and both doesn't have third zooming lens. There are definitely upgrades but won't worth 1/3 more of what I paid for flip5. Just my opinion. Love my flip5 so far. Have a great day
