There are many techniques to change the colour of the background... but this tutorial teaches us a new and very useful technique..... using a colour fill with inverted subject mask.... ThanX Jesus...
Hello ... In my opinion, you are No. 1 in the photoshop world ... Watching the video alone is a benefit and a pleasure. Through the introduction and explanation ... I love your lessons and I love to follow your channel .. Always forward ... Translation from the Google site I am one of your followers from Iraq.
Thank you! im currently doing my photography homework and this really helped me alot . This technique is quicker and well explained! You did a great job mate!
Great video. Its those last couple of techniques that you need to know to achieve the tasks. Like b&w view, then smooth the body mask, then save. Then come back into Selections and do the hair without smoothing on. The other techniques too you taught... Thanks brother.
hi jesus ! i have a question, while selecting and masking process of hair what should be the properties of refine brush, i mean soft or hard brush or hardness level any and spacing value of brush and pen pressure or dial properties in select and mask dialog box. I find some difficulties to fine tuning of refining of hair selection. Please suggest
Lovely tutorial. I was trying to change the background of a portrait shot and good enough i stumbled upon the right video. Thanks a million . Going to put it into practice right away.
This is an awesome tutorial !!! Thanks so much. I appreciate the time you took to go into the detailed explanations and not just rush through the content
Excellent tutorial. I have really enjoyed it. I'm just starting to use the Ps and it really helps. Thank you for taking time to pass on your knowledge to others. By the way I'm following this course from Sydney, Australia.
Wouldn't it be even more flexible to use a gradient map instead of a solid color fill layer? you can adjust highlights and shadows within gradient maps and play with colors even better. But still thank you for the great explanation!
So you have a selection. Then what? Jesús's method: create adjustment, invert mask. Your method: duplicate layer, apply mask, create adjustment, move it to the middle of the layer stack. You've replaced two steps with four. How is that faster? I guess you're right, I do not have to thank...
I am trying to learn how to use the mixer brush tool, but I have no tool bar that shows up at the top of my screen that shows the load, wetness, etc.. Can you tell me where it went. or how to get it back into the software. Edit>Toolbar does not work, as I have tried that, and wasted two days trying to solve this situation. Very frustrating. BTW, I have subscribed, and enjoy your tutorials. Big learning curve for a retiree, but I'm working at it. Wish I could find a good one-on-one tutor for a couple hours.
Loved it. I photographed a little girl yesterday on white and I want to change the background to pink also. So this was perfect. But one question, what if I wanted multiple colors instead of one. Could I do that?

faster version - cutout the object, copy it to next layer or make a mask, do the color changing in original mask. You don't have to thank
So you have a selection. Then what?
Jesús's method: create adjustment, invert mask.
Your method: duplicate layer, apply mask, create adjustment, move it to the middle of the layer stack.
You've replaced two steps with four. How is that faster?
