OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HEARD THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY, AND I'M...... BUYING ANYTHING SHE IS SELLING!!!!!!!!! I HAVE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING THAT COMPARES TO THIS ENIGMATIC GENIUS OF A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN!!!! THANK YOU SOOOOOO FREAKING MUCH TY! I AM BLOWN AWAY.
i have '' NEVER'' seen you stop a video to watch parts over again and again ! that was ONE OF YOUR '' BEST REACTIONS '' i loved the excitement that you had .. it was great !
Ty, you are cracking me up.. This by far is one of your funniest reaction videos.. I made a bet with myself when I started watching that you couldbt get through without rewinding....LOL You're AWESOME
Her father is a preacher and she's got gospel in her. I couldn't sit still if I was there but I really think there was some hypnosis and disbelief in the audience.
Her father started a church in West Memphis, Arkansas 30 years ago. In late 2018 they finished their church building, they have been in a store in a small mall. Her dad is an awesome preacher and she was there that weekend. He let us know at church that she won her Emmy. Such good people
Great video! NEVER apologize for rewinding Yebba. It's impossible to take it all in the first time through. She is amazing. Her bame is Abbey Smith so, Yebba is Abbey backwards. Not sure why or how that came about. Definitely check out her and Clark Beckham singing Gravity as suggested below, it's fantastic.
Yay yebba!!! Please check out her first video by Beats 1 audio called Evergreen. Its a song she wrote about her mother who committed suicide about a week after the My Mind performance. And of course her other collaberations as well. Obviously the one with Clark Beckham but theres also Smoke with Luke Levenson, How Deep is your love with PJ Morton, Lucky with Thirdstory and she did a bit on SNL with Chance the Rapper. Its all seriously good.
You reacted to the same things I did and said the same things I was thinking. She has blown my mind. I absolutely LOVE her! Her singing makes my heart happy! :-)
I love watching people react to Yeeba - My Mind. Amazing song! But my favorite part is (and I mean this in no way bad/mean/insulting) watching "black" people react to it. Not only do they always love it ('cause it's awesome!) but they are always like "why is everyone just sitting there?!" You know they would be up on their feet, responding, and showing their agreement and love of it vocally and with enthusiasm. Most likely, the reason the crowd isn't is because it is mostly "white" people in the crowd. I just love the cultural differences. For white people it is constantly taught that to sit quietly, without interrupting, is how you show your appreciation of something really good. The quieter the audience, the more they are "spellbound" by what they are listening to and showing your respect by not interrupting. I just think the differences are really cool.
I loved your reaction, especially to the parts between the words. It feels like a deep in her soul, type of crying...This song never gets old. I envy her ability to put words to her emotions. I can do it through dance, but to write and sing through pain is such a beautiful thing....And it's relatable...
I think maybe by her saying “I shole won’t stay but I’ll be damned if I ever leave”, she means she won’t stay physically but she’ll always stay on his mind 🤷🏾♀️
Don't be sorry! Your reaction is exactly like mine right now. I've never heard of her (or this song) until now (thanks quarantine!) - and this song just guts me! Love her voice :) I always enjoy your reactions :)
I've watched about 20 different reaction videos of this song, and on every single one the "reactor" is always totally freaked the F out by halfway through the song. People are so blown away by her that no one even knows what to say. Yebba is just ungodly good- her tone, pitch, and her vocal control are off-the-charts amazing. I hope people realize that with Yebba, we are fortunate to be in the midst of true greatness at this point in time.
WOW!!!!! I would’ve had a hard time just sitting there like those people were. She is AMAZING!!! I probably would’ve been saying sing it girl!!! Along with a few YES and YAS’s.
I discovered this song because of you. Thank you! I've been listening to it religiously. You have the most genuine reactions. My favorite part was the end "In Jesus Name". God Bless and thank you again for introducing me to YEBBA.
I'm not sure which I enjoyed more; listening to Yeeba singing My Mind or watching your reaction to Yeeba singing My Mind. It takes a major musical artist to truly appreciate another major musical artists. She would really appreciate your appreciation!
LMAO I just discovered her a week ago... and just discovered you today. I have to say that I felt the same way you did about how quiet that crowd was. There's some huge emotion packed into that song, so maybe that's a part of it... but on the way in there's a big sign to be nice, and so maybe the "rules" keep people seated to be present?
You are so adorable. And I loved your review. It was right in the pocket. This singer has so much dimension to her intonations -- white, black, American Indian -- she is truly American. Adele-ish maybe but much deeper heartfelt tones and runs and OMG wow!. I see that her mother committed suicide, so this poor young women knows pain. Not that she should but at least she is singing it out. Her favorite singers are the clark gospel group. Loved this reivew; keep on keepin' on brother. From a 62 yr old white woman in Ashland OR who used to hang out in black churches in San Francisco and sing in their choirs and learn about God. Much abundance to you.
Wow she is absolutely amazing! I’m so glad I’ve been checking some of your older reactions Ty, or I wouldn’t have heard this angel sing - what a voice! I’ll be seeing what else I can find of hers, on RUclips.
"That's a black person note right there" 4:03. LOL. I said the same thing but still get emotional after listening to it so many times. Great reaction from you. Thanks for sharing. Sub'd.
First time I've heard her but I promise you that it won't be the last. This is singing! She's feeling it. Some pain behind this. Remarkable! Breath control is off the charts!
******As far as singing and performing...Freddy Mercury at Live Aid in 1985. I don't know how you could break that down, it is really long and he does a bunch of songs...but there is something so captivating about the way he performs. Especially that video..unbelievable. Maybe pick your favorite song he does in that performance..just please check it out. You will see what I mean...watching him perform is amazing..and it was in 1985!!
Wow! I never heard of this woman before just now. I love her tone, and she has both power and range. I don't generally like "diva" type singers, but I don't see her as being in that category. She's just freaking amazing -- without any screaming high notes. THANKS to whoever suggested this to you Ty. And as always, thank you for your GENUINE reactions. And PLEASE don't apologizing for replaying the parts that grab you! That gets your reaction clear so that we all know how much (or not) you enjoyed a performance. And I think whites, in general, are not as expressive as blacks. Sad for us that we don't feel comfortable in cutting loose when we see someone THIS GOOD. I tell you, though, I'm white and I can't imagine I would be sitting there on my hands while this woman performed.
Your reaction was PRICELESS!!!! Her voice....AMAZING!!!!!! And you don't have to apologize for rewinding. It's a reaction video. We expect that. You are pointing things out and we are learning from you. Amen? Amen!
YEBBA was her mother’s nick-name for her when she was a little girl, ( which is Abbey spelled backwards ). This is the first song YEBBA wrote on her own and very sadly her beloved mother committed suicide about a week after she performed this song for the first time. 💔🥺💔
abbey has one of those voices that reaches in and grabs your soul and says you coming for a ride with me and im gonna show you all the pain and emotion i lived through. feels left smashed afterwards
The crowd is quiet I think, as if they're in church, y'know? It's like a reverence they have. A serious respect. Plus, they don't want to miss a single note or syllable.
Re. quiet audience reaction: If you were brought up in a very Euro-heritage sub-culture (and not necessarily just white), you're taught to be quiet when someone's performing - _especially_ delicate, expressive music. I don't know what city this is, but it seems like the more north you are, the more you clam up until they're done singing! It's partly inhibition, and partly intended as respect.
I just discovered her myself. I absolutely love this woman’s voice.
The gut wrenching cry of the song is captivating.
Don't mind the rewind on this one. This woman's voice is beyond amazing. She brought tear's to my eyes.
BRUH! I've just listened to this perfection 50 times straight.
Yebba went to the acclaimed Belmont School of Music in Nashville, TN. Now you know why she sounds like this, better than 1,000 singers today.🎤💞💞😍😍
Go off queen
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I HEARD THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY, AND I'M...... BUYING ANYTHING SHE IS SELLING!!!!!!!!!
I HAVE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING THAT COMPARES TO THIS ENIGMATIC GENIUS OF A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN!!!!
THANK YOU SOOOOOO FREAKING MUCH TY!
I AM BLOWN AWAY.
She has deep roots in the church as her father is a pastor so her soul definitely shows from that
She was so rich with music but you are the gift.....thank you so much for sharing your love of all music and bringing us along on your journey....
Her daddy is a preacher. She has gospel in her!
i have '' NEVER'' seen you stop a video to watch parts over again and again ! that was ONE OF YOUR '' BEST REACTIONS '' i loved the excitement that you had .. it was great !
Ty, you are cracking me up..

You're AWESOME
Don't apologize brother, it's your show. We're just here to watch you enjoy.
You reacted exactly the way I did! I had to rewind and listen over and over. To sing so perfectly and with such raw emotion!
Not every one can do runs without at some point sounding forced but she is naturally smooth and easy to listen to. Thanks for sharing!
Her father is a preacher and she's got gospel in her. I couldn't sit still if I was there but I really think there was some hypnosis and disbelief in the audience.

I just discovered her this week! I am speechless! Wow! Unbelievable! I'm gutted.
Great video!

AK007 Campbell her mom used to call her Yebba
@@artbylisa1031 oh cool, thanks!

Don't ever apologize for re playing!!! I live for your reaction and it introduces me to new awesome music. Even though I am a year late!!!
You reacted to the same things I did and said the same things I was thinking. She has blown my mind. I absolutely LOVE her! Her singing makes my heart happy! :-)

None taken at all.

Oh my goooodnesssss! That was an incredible performance. Thank you for your "clean" show and keeping HIM in your sign-off.
Always
After awhile watching your reactions, I gotta say this is my favorite. I loved watching all of your expressions. :D
I think maybe by her saying “I shole won’t stay but I’ll be damned if I ever leave”, she means she won’t stay physically but she’ll always stay on his mind 🤷🏾♀️
Hmmm.......
Modern Renaissance Man just a thought 🤷🏾♀️
I hear you
Imma challenge u a bit... keep the thought u had but also think of it as... I wont stick around but I definitely wont be able to let this go.
He's going to remember her and her memory will always be between him and the side chick.
Don't be sorry! Your reaction is exactly like mine right now. I've never heard of her (or this song) until now (thanks quarantine!) - and this song just guts me! Love her voice :)
I always enjoy your reactions :)
Great reaction, you picked up so many nuances and interesting parts. Appreciate your appreciation of Yebba :)

U don't have to apologize for the rewinding that you do TY it makes me smile and laugh every time God Bless
Love Abbey Smith ..this song she wrote it after her mom committed suicide so much emotion in this song.
I discovered this song because of you. Thank you! I've been listening to it religiously. You have the most genuine reactions. My favorite part was the end "In Jesus Name". God Bless and thank you again for introducing me to YEBBA.

There is definitely a sister inside that woman's soul! ❤️❤️❤️

It was beautiful and it makes me feel good.
You got a good heart and you care.

' I sure won't stay but I'll be damned if I ever leave '...
To me it means I will leave you, but my memory will haunt you forever.
I'm not sure which I enjoyed more; listening to Yeeba singing My Mind or watching your reaction to Yeeba singing My Mind. It takes a major musical artist to truly appreciate another major musical artists. She would really appreciate your appreciation!

Glad you enjoy it!
They’re quiet because they don’t want to miss a note of what she’s singing!

#OldWhiteLady from South Alabama here again! Hey Ty, MY FAVORITE REACTION OF ALL TIME!

The crowd is quiet I think, as if they're in church, y'know? It's like a reverence they have. A serious respect. Plus, they don't want to miss a single note or syllable.
YES! I would have been on my feet cryin ugly the whole damn time!
she is crazy special!!!!!
You lie! You're not sorry for getting to listen to it longer. I don't blame you.

You now have the ability to hear Angels sing. Brought to YOU by ,"ANGEL TUNED" and the "ANGEL TUNES" & THE ANGELIC HOST NETWORK"
Yes they would. I would be saying go girl. Maybe there's a please Hold applause until the end? Lol....
Speechless
I like your true reaction, Yebba is amazing and gifted.
I reacted this very same way when I first heard her.
I am glad to see there is still open mind people
