    Ive always made it a point not to comment on anything online. This might be my first on youtube... thanks a lot for these videos. Yield has such a special place in my heart. In regards to in hiding, no way, and esspecially faithful I've always loved the guitar tone and playing on those songs. I don't even play but i enjoy these videos so much. Again, thank you so much for these videos.

    Love this track Matt. Nailed it again. Stone is so loose when he plays it and Ed really belts it out live, even at the O2 last year, when he was suffering.

    One of my very favourite PJ tracks. Love that album - best of that year, for me.
    Great to see you really getting down with that "riff of awesomeness". That's the best part - it's a real release after playing all those trebley (is that a word?) partial chords.
    And Eddie's vocals... What's not to love?

    • @LetsPlayAll
      @LetsPlayAll  5 лет назад +1

      As Thor once said “all words are made up” so I’m pretty sure trebley is a word now! Yea that riff is seriously contagious!

    I confess that, for some time, I avoided to hear "Yield" and then, when I did it... Geez, how much time I lost because I hadn't done yet! For me, only "Ten" compete with it. It was love for a first listening, thanks for "Faithful", "In Hiding", "Brain of J"... Actually, love the whole thing. I'm glad to see how amazing the pre-chorus riff is really amazing not only for me, hehe.
    Terrific video and congrats for the hard work!

    I am going back a ways watching this to help remember how. It strikes me that although my friends and everyone who knows me would bet I knew how to play everything of theirs but I don’t. I am not sure why, because they are my favorite band since 1991, and my Pearl Jam concerts are all my favorite concerts I have ever seen. However I am really grateful that you have done these, and done such a great job at it. To be able to go to them and learn when I can is just such a gift. Thanks dude!

    In most cases, you have to have been playing a good while to learn this song... I've been playing 22 years so I can play it but someone with one or two years "In Most Cases" are going to be way out of their League here.... Great Job man! 90% of the RUclips teachings of this song are wrong.... Well done....

      I think it's more about how much effort one puts to learn to play and how much time is available. :-D I've got 1,5 years with the guitar now and I can play this fluently pretty soon. But, probably going to let it be for a while as I have other, more urgent, songs to learn "perfectly". And as always, Matt you rock!!

    Matt - as I’ve said before I don’t play but love the videos. As a non player I am intrigued - with respect to all the variances in versions and little things you describe, do you just listen and watch live videos over and over and work out what they do differently?

    • @LetsPlayAll
      @LetsPlayAll  5 лет назад

      Thanks Gareth that’s amazing you find these interesting as a non guitarist (there’s always time 😉) I’ve been working out how to play songs on the guitar for so long now you develop an ear for it. That said on studio albums a lot of the detail can be hidden under all the production and then live versions come in really handy to unearth some of the mysteries! It also gives you a frame of reference for where they’re playing it on the neck (unless Stone’s playing with his back to the audience as usual!) and you can then often make out chord shapes etc. But a lot of listening is definitely required. On average with working out the tune, tabbing it, learning the parts, videoing, editing etc it’s anywhere from 10-20hrs per video I put up I reckon. So thanks so much for watching and your comments, I really appreciate it! Are you in the UK?
