I think the fact that you dont want to believe Kuina is dead is a part of the tragedy of Zoro's backstory. She dies off screen, you get no chance to know if someone could have saved her. She dies by falling down the stairs, Zoro has nothing to direct his rage and sorrow at, he cant get revenge on the stairs and despite popular fan theories there's no reason to believe her father (the teacher) killed her. So you just have to accept it even though Zoro never got the chance to beat her in a fair fight. So now all Zoro can do is become the best and hope that can satisfy her soul. Its hard to accept someone so strong and important is gone, but that is a part of why its so hard to believe and what makes Zoro's backstory so memorable and amazing. Also manga shows dead body so no she is dead and there is no trickery going on here
This, absolutely this. Thank you so much for saying my whole thoughts on this. I actually love Zoro’s backstory, because it /is/ the most realistic. He has no one to fight for Kuina’s death, so he could have easily given up and let their dream die with her, but instead he pushes forward. No matter how insane Zoro’s power is, he is just a man.
I'm sad that Kuina is really gone :( It was nice to see someone from Zoro's past who he cared about and who inspired him. Grandfather?!! Plot twist for sure! The black cat pirates are good fighters! I assumed they would be a joke to Zoro but they held up! Usopp's "I'm done running" was a really good/brave moment. He was scared af and also not a fighter but still wanted to protect Kaya. Dua Lipa has been real silent since this episode came out. 🤷♂ In my fantasy, Kuina faked her death and became Jen Yu in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
When u were singing dua lipa in the beginning i was like "thats ironic she has that in her song bc shes an avid one piece fan." She has even worn a dress with one piece logos all over it 😭
Sorry if it's anticlimactic, but Koina is definitely dead and does not come back in the story, but the way they did the reveal in the live action I can see why most people believe there's something more going on. Zoro's loss really contrasts everyone else's in the main cast because it's the most realistic, life is short and precious and can be taken away in an instant even if you are as strong as Koina. Enjoying your channel a lot, your edits and humor is great! Looking forward to watching your channel grow
@@anthonyhanlon9808 The manga shows her dead body though, there is less reason to believe Kunia is alive if you've read the manga. Honestly it would ruin all the motivation Zoro got from her death if there turned out to be some shady plot and luckily the manga has never hinted at that
Supposedly Kuina died falling down the stairs and broke her neck looking for a sharpening stone for her Wado Ichimonji after her battle with Zoro. As he was the one who challenged her he is unintentionally responsible for Kuina's death.
ter acompanhado suas reações tem sido incrível!!! o episodio 3 e 4 são os mais fracos de fato, agora em diante um episodio fica ainda mais impressionante que o outro!!! bom show :)
Man, first episode of Seasons 2 is gonna come hard for a bunch of people for reasons I won't disclose, but it'll be nice to see a new generation of people get hit with that again. :)
She is supposed to truly be gone. She falls down a flight of stairs and dies Apparently.... it is off screen as well in the anime. Also I don't believe it.
dying off screen mainly more applies to main characters i think more than a flash back... also just a "this is a story for kids lets not say how she died" so she fell down the stairs..... which isnt slang in japan for suicide despite people claiming it is but google says no this is a myth. though just like in america falling down the stairs is the common excuse for domestic abuse so she could have killed herself which seems likely over the depression of the conversation about how she didnt think a woman could ever beat a man..... so maybe zoro was starting to get better than her and she couldnt live with the reality that she couldnt be the best? or her dad kicked her down a flight of stairs....

Season 2 spoilers
I've read the manga and still think there's some shady stuff, though I wouldn't be disappointed if I'm wrong

@@The_dandy_zombie I do think she is dead, but there might be more behind her death
Definitely dead, if i recall correctly, we see her body in the manga with face covering as prep for her funeral.
OK, this was nice. But next 4 episodes will take it onto the whole another level
“NIMA” killed me

FYI Dua Lipa is a big fan of One Piece. Mentioned in a few articles about famous One Piece fans.

Coby gains nothing becoming a pirate. It isn’t his dream.
