I've always wished you could equip sci-guys and security guards with better weapons. You can equip Resistance fighters in HL2 like that. They'll pick up better weapons on their own, but you can coax them into doing so by dropping weapons at their feet. Can you do that in Black Mesa? That's something you'd want to do if you were in that situation IRL. Pool all resources and make sure every team member is equipped for the task at hand (and knows how to use what they've got, of course).
