@@Brainreaver79 You have to be unspotted the whole game to get the Raider medal, right? Because surprisingly enough, I do more spotting damage in my Type 4 than many of my other tanks, but a Raider medal?! xD
@@Brainreaver79 i remember the at2 from jingles video. It passed thru the middle of the map undetected and was able to get same medal, like come on!
All my heavies have spotting medals and ribbons. And since we now have ps4 and xbox together I get more clusters at a time.

absolutely bonkers matches quick. I just got back into WoT after taking a 4 year break and honestly there have been some good improvements, but also a lot of new tanks that I don't know how to fight yet so gonna binge your channel a lil bit to get up to speed.

You guys remember that funky way the old KV-1S and IS used to get penetrated back in the day? You could shoot them on the upper plate at a specific spot and the shell would bounce off it and go into the bottom of the turret!
You can do the same thing with the Maus. Shoot it on the turret cheek as low as possible, and because of how the lower part of the cheek is angled it will bounce your shell straight into and through the roof of the hull!
The Maus driver won't have A CLUE as to what your doing for the first few shots LOL.
I love how QB has become more natural in these videos over the last year or so! That ELC Even 90 commentary is hilarious!

a couple of weeks ago I got a chance to drop a t28 on top of a medium on mountain pass. It's a very satisfying feeling dropping a very slow and heavy tank on unsuspecting enemies

The Maus armour is only for absorbing the arty shells use that hp to trade the gun is good you can easily get a 3k avy

I was on Westfield in Obj268 V4 and having a terrible game with 1 kill and 168 dmg. My team were hanging back and hiding from 3 arty , Grille and 2 Jpz E100. Time to press W ...60 secs later 5k spot and 2.5k dmg done. 360m view range FTW.

I do the same with my T110E4 on Prokhorka, i push the west and try to spot with my "team" Campers in the back. Will try with a turbo and better armor.. Thanks for the good tips.
I just played a game on prokhorofkha in my fv304, getting inspiration from this video I took a few shots then raced down through their bushes and took all the tds and heavies at the back by surprise, they thought they killed all our light tanks, managed to get 2.5 k spotting in the end but I got destroyed

A T95 can do the exact same thing on Prokhorovka if you do it right. I even have mine set up with the turbo charger.

Hey QB,
thank you for showcasing brilliantly, how good a Maus can be, if played correctly. Like you, I LOVE the MAUS inspite its (historical) strategic irrelevance. The Maus is as iconic as it gets and I am really happy, that (unlike many other GER tanks) it actually has some value in WoT.
However, I have to point out one "small" issue about many of your replays and this one (Prokorovka) in particular: You show the video and tell us, that you decided to do the spotter Maus. Great idea, however you dont tell us about the two defining reasons, why u can think about that bold move in the first place: there are almost no arty and only one dangerous TD against you!
If in the same match you'd played against 3 T10 arties and a deathstar or two, Jaeger00 or shitbarns, I am pretty sure u'd chosen a different strategy.
Please put some emphasis on your "match-start"-analysis in your videos, because I believe this is 50% of a successful match and easy to be learned, if showcased!
Anyways, we Maus-lovers have to hold each others back ;-)

Blocked 6200 in my first battle with this tank. Only got 2400 damage, but they shot me 22 times in clan wars all with gold rounds. Love this tank. It’s everything my E-100 isn’t.
Hilarious. And Maus was actually 1st tier 10 tank i got. HOWEVER, people use so much goldammo that i rarely survive for long with it.
While its gun is anemic. The tier 9 Mäuschen with the same gun is often much nicer to play, as there it is powerful enough to be effective (also goes for Tier 8 VK 100).
As a matter of fact, the "scout Maus" idea is one i've already been doing, because with the less than adequate gun, using it for scouting is actually much more effective, especially since i equipped it with coated optics. It has however become drastically less functional since the 1.0 version or somewhere thereabouts, as people suddenly seemed to become impossibly good at getting penetrations on it and heavily armoured tanks in general, a change that i saw nothing of from my own side of the gun.
No kidding. I've had an ELC EVEN 90 kill me while driving the Maus. With standard ammo. Ridiculously annoying.
I have definitely been considering putting turbo on some more tanks though, especially the huge and heavy ones that are otherwise the slowest ones, as indeed, there it would make much more of a difference.
I like to scout with the AT2. If the opposing team doesn't know the weak spots, it is a lot of fun. One of your more fun videos. Cheers.

I can’t wait to get the maus, I’ve been experimenting with the new equipment and rn I have spall liner, improved config, and hardening on my mauschen. You can just sit out in the open and wiggle so they miss your commanders hatch
Nice game with the Maus. The Maus in War Thunder you gotta worry about HEATFS, APDS, and ATGM’s. At least in World of Tanks you don’t die from one shot cause of HP, but poor Maus.

If you watch the minimap at the start of the first game, you can see what grinds my gears with this map:
(tl; dr: people usually don't support those who try to push that flank)
when I play some for that tier in question armored tank (Type 4, Defender, AT-8, Tortoise,...) and try to push that flank, the rest of the team just lingers back around the edge of the map, cautiously following when I cross half the map, if I'm lucky. So I spot a few tanks, but my team mates are too far behind me so enemy tanks are out of render range. on the other hand, I'm already spotted and all those tanks hiding there (even those I did not spot) fire at me. Too many dogs for one rabbit... If teams would actually push on that flank, enemy would have hard time knocking all of the attackers out and it would turn the tide of the battle.

I still don’t have many tier 10 tanks but the second tier 10 tank I researched was the Maus (the first was the E 100 because I wanted Tigers 1 and 2 tanks) and it’s definitely the tank of this level that I like the most , really who knows how to use his armor to your advantage makes it a difficult tank to be beaten !!!

I kinda did what you did in my T 50 2 I ran out top of a beat up T34 he was almost dead and I had half strength and we were the only survivors of the board with the island in middle I have not seen that in a long time but when I drove on top of him I landing on my tracks he died I didnt. Thank you for doing Wot vids and giving knowledge I have been playing 10 years worth I got 75 pieces up down the tree lines I am no pro just a disabled veteran having fun dont care about rating just what I can do for the 14 bubba's Wot puts me on at the time. If you see a Misfits99 thats me on my team or enemy side I will try my best
That 60tp needs some new shocks. I remeber trying to get the death from above trophy on console, pretty much ended up cliff diving off the over lord map to get it.
How to play Maus:
Step 1: get Maus
Step 2: load full gold
Step 3: press battle
Stel 4: Hold W and fire at everything you see, you have enough ammo to fire non stop the entire game
Step 5: profit

If it had better pen and maybe dpm I think it would be fairly good in reality. Everyone on the NA server uses gold because this things standard pen was left in like 2016

QB I respectfully disagree now that e100 has been buffed. I have played both b4 and after the buff and I was able to do 5k spotting with maus but 5.5k spotting with e100 in that map :)
