Anyone who says the FV4005 is OP and should be nerfed, has not played it. No camo, no armor, no reverse speed, super long reload, and not accurate at all. But I still love it!
Good god if I could just get reverse back in it .....so infuriating!!
this tank is a different kind of OP, namely that dealing this large amounts of damage with one shot should simply not be possible. It doesn't matter if the rest of the stats are atrocious af.

Its not OP, it's just a stupid tank that shouldn't be in the game as is. It doesn't matter if it had 1 hitpoint and only 1 shell. The potential to one shot or near one shot isn't something that should be in the game. Just like the cobra, the t57 heavy, the Caliban, not necessarily OP tanks but tanks that have too high a potential when they do work.
Most of the time you get 1 or 2 shots per game but it is the potential to get crasy damage that makes this tank awsome. All you need is 3 good shots and you will sit at +4000 damage and thats enough at tier 10 to sit in top 3 of your team.
I can do that without being a P2w bitch, i dont even fire prem rounds and i managed to get almost 4k dmg with my T30
No. It'll be about 3.300 damage.
@@stephanfuchs7891 3x1750 is 4250, keep in mind most the times this thing hits a light,medium or medium heavy usually ammo rack it’s not crazy to see it hit 1800-2000

You know the maps are old and tired when a fv will blind shot a bush that might have contained a scout.
And scored a hit to boot, because the scouts cant find a better spot to spot either

I sold this tank and went back to the Conway with the small gun and fully rotating turret, it’s more fun to play, IMHO, and cheaper too!
Still, those big hits can be nice. As I’m a “free to play” guy too, I don’t play many tier nine or ten tanks.

No it isn't. The tank is just made specially for that.
I mean, premium ammo in the FV don't give you any advantage, logical if I add.
Higher dmg is not always a benefit. If You don't have the pen to constantly pen your shots, with the recent HE changes, a non penetrating hit can really screw you up.

@@kutejikashi1959 ?? SO LOGICALLY SPEAKING it does give you advantage, you dont pen you still do dmg first of all ( yeah in some cases no but mostly yes) if you dont pen with the AP guess what big fat 0.
I got hit like 3 times in my 9 years of playing wot with the AP from FV rest of it was gold, and you are saying that everyone who plays it shoots with gold because it does not give you advantage ? :D
I keep a few ap rounds in mine.
Spaced armor and clown cars demand it .
Unfortunately, most FV4005 games these days all end up being "screen hits" with 0 or minimal damage 🙄

I got the Thunder Child 3D design for it this past Christmas holiday. I’ve been looking forward to a chance to get my hands on this TD! Currently sitting on the Charioteer at tier VIII. The darn guns cost more EXP than most of the tanks in that branch!😆 gotta say though, the tier VII Challenger was, by far, one of the most enjoyable tanks I have EVER played! It was like a better Comet!

even with the mod''s to help you hit your shots . the rng plays a huge roll on the tank . you can be fully sighted in the the shell goes way left or way right or hits the ground

Just played it 2 games in a row. First game, every shot missed. Got my first mark of excellence with zero damage.
3k damage my second game and I was very disappointed I didn't get marks 2 and 3.
In regards of the damage rolling of the FV4005, it tends to low roll 4/5 of the shots and it can consistently roll 400 damage under its alpha. I just hit 1300 3 times in 2 games (which of course still hurts for the enemy but… ya know). And i think the reason the stats are so bad is because everyone and their mother has it. Statistically bad players all play it and mess up hard since its such an unforgiving tank
No the stats are so bad because it misses 60% of its shots and most people still haven't figured out that the AP is much more reliable for doing damage.
As a JgPz E100 player FVs always tend to hit me in the superstructure cheeks for 300 dmg OR superstructure extra armor plate around my gun for only 150 dmg. It would've been a penetration if it was a 310mm of pen AP. But i guess they dont either use intuition or a brain that JgPz is immune to HE from the front and hes only vulnerable from the sides (superstructure), back and the lower plate.

One reason for the low number of shots is when one is spotted they tend to get focused, because NO ONE wants such a dangerous vehicle roaming around!

The amount of times this vehicle have been featured on this channel, I can tell QB loves one shotting tanks.
If you don't know what the first dude did to the light, he eliminated all other possible locations that the LT could have been by utilizing spotting. Absolutely beautiful!

I play with improved equiment and standard ammo, 10 AP and 10 HE. Pretty decent, although the mobility and accuracy do hinder it quite a bit. If you have a team around you, you can make it work.

Ive casually played over the last 10 years. I got like 6k battles so yea not the most active. However out of the few tier X i grinded. T92, t57, e3,e4 and the only odd ball FV lmao it was weird why i wanted it when it released but something told me it might turn into a deleted tank 1 day like the wt e100.

This gameplay is amazing, when I play fv My avg dmg is 300 on soft tanks armor

Back in the days this tank had 275 mm of penetration with the gold round (but back in the days the aim was super random and not centralized) and then it got nerfed to 230mm
FV4005 really pay your patience and skills. But the high damage really make it exciting to play so just play if you want to "1 tap enemy" but be sure you know the position if not you will die because no armor for help 😅

Last day i one shotted a full health grille with hesh... it justified a frustrating session with the thing
I personally think ap rounds on this are underrated since you only roll for 300 every shot with hesh 90% of the time
Yes,getting so much penetrating hesh shots are really lucky here. I usually end up loading half ap half hesh and only use hesh on squishier tanks or hitting tanks from behind
With HE nerf and intuition, you should have like 50 50 HESH and AP.
Armored targets ap and meds/lights hesh.
I remember a platoon i played once with 3xFV it was crazy

I play arty and love when I see this in play. Even with my arties nerfed I can feast on this
more often than not a game in the trashbarn goes more like "Oh there is the trashbarn, lets move to the other side of the map!"
Second battle countdown had a score of 6-3. Wouldn't have been surprised if that was correct when you think how fast some yolo out and get deleted.
Still can't wait to get my 4005...but without the HESH spam v_v
Maybe QB just needs to play the 4005 200x times and maybe he will get the 5 digit dmg he wants :P

Love the videos quickybabs, would love to see more of the playing the worst tanks series and more low tier games. I feel tier 10 games are quite stale and I think mid tiers add some unpredictability to the games.

FV is like KV2 , in a T10 battle. Its just for fun, because its always a gamble shot. Its either big or small, fun to watch if its tearing 1500+ hp damage, its sucks when its just doing 150+. After the shot you'll hide for the next 25 sec due to long reload, long aim time, low armor, and poor manueverabilty.
Don't use gold and it won't do under 900, even on a low roll.
There isn't a single thing you can pen with the gold that you can't pen with the standard HESH rounds.
I run rammer, aim device, and rotation device. Certain maps ill switch rotation device for a camo net out of desperation of not being spotted till firing. Lol
I wonder whether that thing is viable with ap? It has pretty nice pen and it would take out some of the rng.

Absolutely, especially with Intuition. If you have to face an enemy heavy tank frontally, chances are quite high that you won't penetrate with the HESH round. And since the HE nerfs firing HESH at heavily armored tanks is just a waste of credits. People playing this tank "HESH only" are stupid and don't use the tank optimally. However "AP only" is probably as stupid, since then you could just play a JgPz E-100 instead where you have similar alpha damage but much better armor.

@@inlovewithgoats1092 True, but the context is about ammo selection here. There's only a few disadvantages in picking HEAT over AP, but only bringing HESH in FV is a detrimental option. At least bring a few when you face something like angled Maus from long distance
First guy I imagine is a beast in any tank, with a bit o’luck, it was death. 2nd guy found a really nice spot to exploit, sniper wid it.
Yeah I’ve had 2 matches within 20 dmg of 10k. Both matches robbed from me hitting the 10k game. First one was a redshire match with the grille. Second was the the deathstar. One trash can human being who capped when there was a tier 9 waffen with full health when I was at 9983 dmg :’(

There is no Premium T8 British TD for that FV4005 II play style, just the GSOR 1008 and thats practically a Medium tank with autoloader.
Charioteer. Also has really good AP(cr) round and bonus HESH for light tanks. Also derps most of its shots. Also gets focused when spotted, but does have useable camo unlike the FV.

This beast needs los to connectt these shots - spgs do not. In my last game turned one into butter with three rounds - first 2 splashed him and 3rd connected. It is the ultimate glass cannon..
I personally love it, I got mastery in my first battle with it as all the stars and planets aligned while the gods of RNG looked kindly upon me. After that there have been plenty of horrendous battles missing full broadside shots from close range but who cares, there's nothing quite like a one shot kill to brighten your day!

as an arty player, i love this tank.. its always a big experience farming opportunity. for some reason, arty hits this one hard....
Oddly enough I played 18 games in the M4 51 today and didn't see a single one, just a Conway who tried to go hull down on me.

if you think fv is not easy on the credits, try playing and restocking ammo on pz1c, bruh the full gold setup is like around 500k

The rng on it's rounds is just terrible. Even close range shots fully aimed go flying into the corners or into the ground under the target. FV183 is so much better but it has similar problems.
