I don't remember being ever prominent. KV5 and Maurbrecher is what premium tanks should have been in the first place. You pay to skip the line and in return you get a bad to mediocre tank. Guy that bust his ass to grind gets a better tank. That was in beginning were the game wad not a shitshow.

Tier for tier, prem tanks like the Löwe, the Churchill 3 or the KV-5 were BETTER than a stock tank, but WORSE than a fully upgraded tech-tree one. That was the point. Until WG figured out that if they make premium tanks that are more powerful than their tech tree counterparts, people will buy and play them more often because while getting credits they can be more competitive. Nowadays WG is just abusing this. There are twice as more tier 8 prem tanks than regular ones.

Honestly, the kv-5 is so mm dependent, it's mostly just an XP mine for the enemy team. And the penetration is just abysmal. I don't remember ever seeing t6 in my kv-5, mostly it's just t8...
Bought one after QB's last video on it. Wish I had not. Most games are just frustrating in it. Everyone pens you. You have to yolo to do anything in it. Sidescraping is a joke with all the weak points. Rare is the fun game with low tiers and ram kills. Save your 8000 bonds.
I just used bonds to buy a KV-5 today. Put Improved Hardening, Modified Configuration, and a Turbo on, plus Removed Speed Governor, Small Med Kit, and Large Repair Kit. I'm on a free to play account, so I didn't want to use food, and I have no plans to trigger the Large Repair Kit, but just wanted it there for the increase repair speed. Managed to get a 4400 combined damage, 7 kill mastery badge battle on the first outing. Thanks for the build advice QB. :-)
10:14 Yes, Speed Governor does grind down the HP of your engine until it first goes yellow and then red. You can test this, by going uphill on Himmelsdorf, on low tier Russian tanks. Cheers.
interesting.. can it get fixed by itself after a few seconds or do you need a repair kit? I want to test several tanks with Modified Config and Experimental Config combo. Depending on equipment tier, ammo-rack and engine penalty should get reduced to around 0%!!!
@@arhangeo Back in the day when I got caught in this situation I used a repair kit. I didn't do this for testing purposes, as I was stuck in the middle of an uphill battle and had to get the tank moving. Every module in WoT (if memory serves) from red gets repaired to yellow status thanks to repair skill of the tank crew, with exception of ammo rack of course 😅. Kind regards.
@@DreadForce83 I vaguely remember this too that even a blown up engine eventually gets repaired because of crew's repair skills but it will take a long time and I don't think it even has a timer showing on it. But yes, removed speed governor will eventually grind your engine's HP to yellow and then to red. I tested this many many years ago (like almost 10 years ago or so) and your engine will eventually blow up if you leave the removed speed governor on for the whole battle.

UGH yesterday, in e25 and kv5 was attacking alone, all help killed. I scooted behind, shot back side, from a couple meters away. 1st 2 in rear, bounce. Started hitting back of turret; still, getting some bounces. Finally got it, but anxious moments.
I think this beast was my first Prem tank way back in 2012, just before I got the Type59. It was lots off fun back then, but I haven't played it for some tine due to it being power crept. But after watching your video, and you suggestion off set up, I might do the same & take it out again.
I did used to troll people with the E75, such an underrated tank IMO. The armor really works and it juss trumps the soviet tier 8 and 9 heavies. I would even go so far as to say that it is netter than the E100 at tier 10 at so many things...

I am free to play so I can't afford that premium food consumable, so I drop it for a repair kit, and because I have a repair kit, I can drop the protection technology, so I replace it with a spall liner, which leads even more insane rams.
I don't know, I bought it for bonds, always wanted to have one. But... got constantly penned, and have bad wr on this, but still ramming is satisfying :) Lorreain 40t is also great... for me.
you should have sidescraped on the other side of the rock. since the su152 gun is on the right side it is easy to peek his left without him being able to shoot back
I'm a bit confused by some of the equipment you mentioned. What is a durability device? Improved Hardening? And what is Bounty Protection Technology? Improved Configuration?
One of those tank that everyone thinks is easy to beat. "It has a weak spot!" they say, but then they don't hit it. Seriously, if I have to bounce damage at tier VIII for some reason, this is the tank I drive.
We need a tips video about how to navigate the new update. I'm overwhelmed by all the changes and a tips video about the best and most time efficient way to get all of our crews and tanks set up would be helpful. Maybe explain how you plan to systematically approach the update. Please please please!
in ASIA server, kv-5 will be dead in no time. even with that set up. people from the mainland and a country south of it has access with AI aiming. all shots will hit R2D2/weakspots. even with a derpy gun AT 300+ meters.....

Tier 8 is horrible. And is now getting absolutely horrible with the new update. I’m selling all my tanks, and bought my best win rate tier 6s. And I have never been happier in wot👍

Hi Quicky can you tell me why after unchecking the auto repair and resupply boxes on the tanks they charge 20,000 per game for resupply and I still have to resupply and repair my tank
I mean....this is why Wargaming are going through with the update. People complain for a minute sure, but when you just continue to play the game instead of boycotting and dropping their numbers (they'll pay attention to that)...there's no incentive to change their course.
I know you don't pay much attention to World of tanks console but QB I really wish you'd take a look at the Centurion AVRE and give your honest opinions about it. It's a tank that is really killing console as being ridiculously overpowered and overwhelming.
As a T29 enjoyer, the KV-5 is my bane. I use the 90mm cannon and even with gold rounds aimed at the weak points (which is like only right side cupola when attacking face to face) this tank kicks my ass. Am I doing something wrong? Should I be loading HE and falling back to a support position?
Never mind, I'm an idiot. I checked the replay and I was bouncing BECAUSE I switched to HE instead of gold. (facepalm) I checked tanksgg and it says the cupola is 100% chance to pen. w/ gold, so I just need to remember to switch to the right rounds.
i joined WOT in 2012 since update 0.7.3 and bought the KV5 at the beginning.. remember it was a special vehicle and not always avaiable. im just sad to see how wargaming has been milking this game. So many content now, unrealistic tank prototypes, game pass, premium, subscription, lootbox, bonds.. Still have good memories of playing the early game back then after exams lol
I hate this thing. Because I dont get the RNG like most other people do. 95% of hits I get are gold and they all dmg me. "RNG" is doing great work on this one for me.

I liked fighting KV5s in my T34 Heavy, the up tiered gun made these things easy targets

soviet tier 9 as st1 and obj 257 have very good armor, at the same height as the e 75
