- Fallout 4 DLC Automatron is available now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Here's how to start it and how to build your first robot workbench. But first things first, you'll need to be level 15 or above, so load a suitable save game, or level up to 15, pronto. Don't worry, we'll wait. Subscribe for more Fallout 4! tinyurl.com/SubToOxbox
Once you are level 15, you’ll pick up a new quest called Mechanical Menace, and a new radio frequency, a distress call from a Caravan that is under attack by robots.
Then you’ll need to head to the site of the distress call, just north of Monsignor plaza and shoot all of the hostile robots. Try to avoid shooting the non-hostile robot, Ada, if you can, as she’s kind of important.
Ada wants your help in tracking down The Mechanist, a mysterious robot-themed villain who is suddenly flooding the Commonwealth with his murderbots, and so the two of you are going to team up to try and find out where he is, so you can teach him a lesson, Fallout-style.
You will now also be able to build your own robots once you’ve made yourself a robot workbench, so be sure to pick up any cool looking robot parts you find lying around, so you can glue them to your inevitable robot monstrosity.

Most broken robot build: sentry hot arms with dual miniguns or Gatling lasers (I like the lasers because I can see where it’s shooting) and the face/helmet that gives a 10% chance of making a target explode. It’s killed more mierlurk queens than I have and in under 10 seconds usually.

Codsworth is now a hydraulically stabilised assaultron with a minigun and a laser sniper rifle for arms. Its like having a much more violent CHAPPiE as a butler.

So I took the advice of the last video and "saved" the caravan with an artillery barrage. When the smoke cleared everyone was dead but Ada. I felt a little bad but hey I got a free robot.

Mine still doesn't show on my xbox one. Say's Automatron is installed, along with the season pass, but nothing in the add ons tab nor any radio signal. Very frustrating. :(

When you find and do the quests for the uss constitution and you have to head to that posieden plant you will stumble upon the radio signal on the way there

+Miraak Dovahkiin I created a Sentry Bot version of a Big Daddy from Bioshock. He's got a drill for a hand, charges terrifyingly at attackers, has glowing red eyes, the works. Also his pimp game is strong, he's pimped slapped more raiders to death than I can count with that drill. 10/10 would watch robot exercise his pimp hand again.

Miraak Dovahkiin It's one of the arm attachments. You can find the mod via robot murder, and if you can't, once you beat the DLC the game will just unlock all of them for you.

My mission/radio won't even show up! I have it installed and when I did the delete, reinstall blah blah, it crashed the minute I load the game. Help?
Heres a tip, If Ada is to slow for you... Just add assulttron legs, she will be much faster.
Yes, I played it in one go (for its main mission) and also streamed it, it is all available on youtube but in german. When I had the opportunity to build a special robot for the final mission, I did so, and made it ... well, actually too big. It couldn't reach some parts of the quest and worse, when I planned on modifying it to fix it - leaving the final mission for it temporarily - I lost him. No, he wasn't killed, I mean lost in the sense that I couldn't find it anymore. I modded Ada and finished the last mission with her, but I still haven't really got a clue where my Chum is now.

Got a robot, instantly put two gatling lasers on it.Was expecting it to be rubbish like all companions. Absolutely slaughtered a whole super mutant horde.

i have a issue with the dlc im level sixteen but neither the radio or the quest are any where to be found ( before you ask yes ive installed the dlc) does having mods installed effect it in anyway

Ok, i've got an Idea for a DLC. I call it "Til Death Seperates us". In that DLC there will be a Maniac or Genius who started bringing People back to life and that maniac/ genius could be like the last surviving person from the Institut who escaped the explosion. If you visit Vault 111 again you will notice you're Wife/ Husband isn't there anymore and is now something like a right Hand to the boss and she/ he isn't so normal anymore. You're sproud will be half Human and half Machine. (Not like a Synth, more like Limbs replaced with Machines). And at the end you have the Choice of either taking you're Wife/Husband back and start over again (wich means you're momentarly Romance will break up and you will be back to you're spouse) or you reject a New Start and erase all of her/ his Memory and you will just have a new Companion who also lived 200 years ago.

Hmm... Weird I just turned level 15 on one of my saves and it didn't give me the quest or radio frequency. Do I need to be in a certain distance of the place?

wavelandkrew yes, I closed the application and played it the next day. It worked fine, I can't explain it, there must be some error in the code so you can't play it as soon as you get it. Just try restarting your console, or wait a day, It must take time for shit to properly render.

My dlc is glitched. I can't get the mission to start. :( I got the caravan distress call, went to the location, killed ALL of the hostile robots, but Ada won't talk to me. She just walks around, in defense mode, saying "I am searching for the target!" But there are no more robots to be killed...maybe one of the hostile robots fell off the map??? I don't have a clue. So my guess is that it's glitched. :/ Any suggestions?

I am a time traveler they are really good
Far Harbor is good in terms of lore, guns and enemies, Nuka World is just interesting at the start, the only thing i consider worth it is the free power armor you get by defeating the boss

The costume worn by the mechanist is literally the same as the one worn by the original mechanist in Fallout 3 and if so then this could be our first inter game canon relation. (short of BOS bloodlines).
