  • I was trying to do a Solina preset for the Behringer Pro-800 and, of course, I couldn't resist to put some fat chorus, reverb and a small stone phaser emulation on top.
The fragment is taken from the song "The Longing" I produced in 2004.

Sounds great! Can you share the patch?

Thank you! 🙂The synth patch can actually be seen on the Pro-800. Switch settings: OSC1+2 both at Square wave, Poly Mod all off/ down, LFO shape triangle & routing to filter (the Initial Amount setting might differ on 1.2.7 firmware since Behringer changed the range, my unit was on 1.2.6 when I made the video), Keyboard switch on middle (1/2). The CDR effects chain: Corona Tri (chorus) > Small Phase (phaser, slow speed, color 2) > Church (reverb).

thanks for the video! are the preset settings exactly how they can be seen on the video? 🙂 I think I will be getting one soon as well

Yes, see my comment under the question from erikdijkhuizen. Just to be sure; the effects play an essential role here, just like the reference sound of the Solina 😉

this Behringer is a full on racket .. keep copying old synths, and sell them at a super cheap price.
The real cost or say worthless quality of these machines, becomes apparent after some time.

Just can say that none of the Behringers in here ever got any issue in 5 years. Quite the opposite of so called "quality products" like Boss (Roland) RC-202 (had to send back 2 units that crashed when used), Zoom MS-70CDR (preamp broken), the 1.5k EUR Moog Claravox Theremin that has voice bleeding ("Works as designed", says Moog) and in general no answers for asking the support for missing features, or Claravox +300 EUR stand that is losing it's feet, MAudio Code61 that was refused to get repaired since "the error seems to appear very rarely"; broken promises like Arturia who missed out to apply the MIDI-through function on it's "flagship controller" Keylab "but it will be added in the next firmware updates"...

Or you can spend a small fortune on original analogue machines (I have used them since the late 80's) and have problems when they fail, parts are expensive and difficult to source. I used to be a synth snob too, and then when started A/B comparing originals against Behringer they sounded too close to worry about a name tag. Pro-1, TD-3, D, and now the 800, are excellent machines, and besides, it's very difficult to see any return on investment these days, the music industry is dead, thanks to the internet and 'free' music or Spotify ruining any chance of serious profits for artists and producers.
