I've been watching everything on You Tube and cable. I can hardly tell if I'm watching Elvis or Austin sometimes. It's memorizing! Bringing him back to all of us through this movie! He deserves an Oscar!!!
Austin is massively talented, I was lucky to see him in the iceman cometh, he is absolutely magnificent, mesmerizing absolutely magnetic, and then he blew my mind again with Elvis, so so massively talented, he deserves the Oscar!!!!!

Austin did an amazing job. He worked on the way Elvis moved and sang and his gestures. I've never heard of an actor who delved into the person he would portray. He nailed it all. I think that for the amount of time he put into studying every little thing about Elvis that it was no surprise that his voice and gestures stayed with him. It's to be expected. Elvis Presley will always be a part of Austin. And in a sense... it's kind of a tribute to the King and that's a good thing. I think Elvis will forever be a part of Austin.
It's unfortunate that his💕 Mom isn't here on earth to see this wonderful young man she raised. Let's remember her .💕

Austin Butler had it pegged even Lisa Marie Presley said it was perfect he never missed a beat and she was amazed she said she had to take about five days to be able to take it all Lynn because he did such a phenomenal job and the Presley‘s endorsed him for that movie they said he was perfect and all the hard work that he put in for those two years studied Elvis he definitely won that Oscar and it was so awesome that Priscilla and Lisa Marie were there at the Oscars on Tuesday and so sad that Lisa lost her life just 2-days after.❤

He captured Elvis’ attraction to the audience but also his vulnerability and passion. Excellent performance! I also love how the film showed the roots of the way he moved and his friendships with BB King and other Blues/gospel performers! You can hear and feel those roots in his music and how Austin brought it to life!

I havent seen the movie,but the previews seem to show the entertainment side of Elvis ,more than the Kurt Russel movie ,which was more of the personal life portrayal. Kurt Russel did an impeccable movie of Elvis's life.. Not to be forgotten.

I have never seen anything like this movie. Austin was beyond good, yes he captured everything perfectly…. But the respect he showed to Elvis, his music and his family are spectacular. There really are no words to explain it. If you are an Elvis fan, watch it. He honors Elvis in such a way that it takes your breath away. And beyond his acting, he is truly sooooo talented musically which is such a huge bonus. He actually sings and dances! And on top of everything else, he has that same intensely beautiful look about him that can’t be denied. Again, watch the movie, you won’t be sorry.
I thought the movie was very honest. I especially liked that they used Austin’s looks to appear as Elvis. (Instead of enhancing facial features).

Not easy to get me to see a movie about Elvis. Especially because of the actors portraying Elvis. I’m sorry but the movies made and the actors who’ve played him, Russell, Shannon, they just didn’t do that good of a job. Now, I just can’t find the right words to describe this new Elvis movie.
I’ve watched it twice and it’s just wonderfully made and finally an actor that makes you forget if he looks like HIM or not. This actor delivers The King beautifully. Not a big deal but when going over Austin Butlers list of songs you show an image of the 45 T-R-O-U-B-L-E, which was recorded and released on 1975. The song Trouble was first released in 1958 and appeared in the movie King Creole and was recorded again for use in the 68 Christmas special. Completely different song from the 75 recording. T-R-O-U-B-L-E was a minor top 40 hit for Elvis in 75. Travis Tritt later had a hit with it in the 90s

I read something earlier on a different ste about his ex-girlfriend and wondered why he didn't name her at all about her encouraging him to apply for the part. What difference does it make? If in fact she did encourage him....that should be enough. She knows what she did so let it go! On a different note.... I knew someone who worked at MGM studios where Elvis made all his movies and he gave me a shirt that Elvis wore in one of his movies. Sadly when I got divorced my ex took it. Would love to have it now!!
